Very nice historical park. Lots of grass and there are interpretive signs for the historic buildings. It has great views and large ships pass fairly close if you're into that, I thought it was neat. Be prepared, it is tucked away down a narrow street and parking is VERY limited. Overall, had a great time!

Pretty little stop if you're in the area. There aren't very many parking spaces, so keep that in mind if it's a busy time. The grounds seem very well maintained.

Beautifully manicured park area.
Large stoney beach area to walk when the tide is out.
Great place to view sunsets!

I came here when the weather was windy and cold so it didn’t look that great but I’m sure it would look amazing when the sun is out. Lots of information boards to learn about the history here.
The view was calming and peaceful, perfect for a getaway from the city

Brown's Point Lighthouse Park is a waterfront jewel. A plaque tells the story of the lighthouse, how its technology has changed over the years.

It's a mildly steep grassy hillside ending in a graveled beach that runs east-west and north-south. There are benches & picnic tables. We were lucky to find parking in a small lot above the park. The video is a view from there.

We have a tradition of summer picnics at Redondo Beach near Des Moines. Next time we will drive a little further to Brown's Point. It's removed from a busy thoroughfare, less populated, more pleasant.

Once you find the hidden parking lot, this Park is such a slice of bliss! The views are sweeping across most of the South part of the Sound, taking in the tide flats, Vashon Island, Murray Island and more. There's so much history here too! Each little building has a storyboard with the history of when and why it was built.

Bonus find: a flyer to rent the lighthouse!

Beautiful place to watch the 🌇 and people fishing. It was fun to watch the fish jumping and kids throwing rocks into the water. Pretty cool rock beach, lots of different colored rocks. Also large grassy hillside to enjoy.

Brown Point Lighthouse Park is a tranquil and picturesque location that is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The park boasts stunning views of the surrounding coastline, and the lighthouse adds a touch of history and charm to the scene. But it is at sunset that the park truly shines, as the warm hues of the setting sun cast a golden glow over the water and surrounding landscape. Visitors can sit on the beach, stroll along the boardwalk, or simply take in the breathtaking scenery. Whether you're seeking solitude, romance, or just a place to connect with nature, Brown Point Lighthouse Park is the perfect destination.

I keep forgetting this park is here, I live like 25 min from here and I don’t make enough time to appreciate how beautiful the sunsets are here. All and all it’s a wonderful little park that gives wides views from dash point park to downtown Tacoma. Don’t be like me, make sure you come out and enjoy this little park.

A nice place for a short visit or calm little walk. While it's nothing super special or incredibly memorable, that's part of its appeal as it's calm and relaxing even when there are people around. It's also easy to find times when it's very quiet and very few people are there which also makes it nice. Definitely isn't one of the super hot spots which means you'll be able to avoid being annoying groups or overly rude and obnoxious kids.
Great for a stop if you're looking for something to just relax and not have to think too much, but good enough for a couples walk or even a small picnic.

It's a cute lil quaint area...large enough for lots of people to hang out but small enough to not feel alone. Lots of grass area to lay a picnic, the beach area are rocky, can lay out if you want. Looks like you can launch your Kayak/paddleboat there as there was someone windsurfing. It was beautiful and peaceful. There was a guy there, possibly an urban outdoorsman with a camp. He didn't bother anyone but he was people watching and talking/laughing to himself.

Took the family to see this historic, beautiful lighthouse. After reading some plaques I learned it's had a lot of work done on it, and it looks great with its fresh paint. We saw an eagle, heron, geese, seal, and a cormorant. It has a Porta potty and lots of beach to walk. Great little park.

A beautiful spot to stop and enjoy a view of the sound. The lighthouse itself isn't as grand as one from the coast might expect, but overall the grounds are well kept, tours are given, there's a neat, old house that I assume was probably the old lighthouse attendants quarters at one time, and again, the view! 😍 The only thing I was disappointed about was that the only restroom there was one outhouse, but if I didn't need to use one at the time, I may not have minded so much.

This is a cute park with a beautiful/modern lighthouse to check out. I recommend having a picnic here in the grass or outside tables during sunset, or just in general. As you can see, the lighthouse is quite picturesque - it's a lovely spot to bring a romantic partner or older family member!

its such a hidden beautiful nice little park. u follow the street n feel like u r entering private driveway. there is a parking lot for maybe 10 cars, a disability spot. the side walk towards the light house is clean all flat, good for stroller n wheelchair. the light house itself is about only 2 men height. its smaller than what u describe/expect which is tall tower n can climb to the top. walking beach is nice part too. the water is clean n cold but right there. there is a portable toilet in the parking.

Park was nice. My husband and I had it to ourselves. Down fall was the park had only a port potty which didn't have supplies and was very dirty. But the rest was nice. Great views. Light house is cute. Grounds keeper house cute. They I guess have tours on the weekends. Says the sign... very small park. But definitely nice for a picnic.

This is a wonderful park with a lot of history. Great views of Tacoma and Vashon island on a clear day! They have tons of benches and picnic tables and a lot of interpretive signs on pretty much every building on the premises. You can actually stay at the lighthouse keeper’s house. They have renovated nearly every building except the lighthouse which they are starting on soon!
