Sheepskin and Alpaca Specialties

This is a truly wonderful store! Their Sheepskin and Alpaca products are of very high quality. One of my favorite purchases is an Alpaca hide hat that keeps me warm on my morning walk no matter how cold and windy the weather is. My wife has purchased numerous Alpaca capes, full length baby Alpaca coat & shorter hooded Alpaca coat, sweaters etc. Lots of very high quality clothing and the service is so friendly that we like to stop by and say hi when we are at the Alderwood Mall.

Excellent quality merchandise! Berndt is an excellent salesman, very customer oriented. He’ll find you exactly what you want. Great place!!!

Me and my partner came in to just browse for ideas for some new home decor and holiday shopping. The owners Berndt and Rena are incredibly welcoming, and warmly invited us to “touch everything!” We left with an amazing alpaca and a beautiful fuschia scarf, the experience was so genuine, I came back the next day with my mother to pick up holiday gifts. I never once felt rushed, or judged by how much we spent, everyone that walked in from browsing mall teens to seriously posh shoppers were welcomed with the same kindness and attitude. This wonderful store is owned and operated by neighborly locals. If you value quality, community, and supporting locals, this is a great place to stop.

BETTER THAN UGG! I am a name brand girl through and through and look for the highest quality of things that I like and THESE BOOTS ARE IT! Aside from the amazing product this business and these people go to the farthest limit to please their customers. I will always come back here for boots AND clothes. Especially living in WA having water resistant alpaca fur outerwear is something people don’t realize they’re missing! QUALITY OVER QUANTITY

I've had a great experience, good customer service. Berndt and Rena are very knowledgeable about the product. I love the sheepskin scuff slippers, and the softness of the animals. I've been coming to this store for the past ten years and its an excellent store to shop where there's good quality stuff. I'll keep coming back!

On vacation and a day of shopping, I stumbled across Sheepskin and Alpaca Specialties. The storefront window caught my eye with boots and sweaters- I had to go inside—such extraordinary customer service, with a boutique feel while shopping. Berndt is very passionate about his products, and his professionalism and expertise are second to none. He went above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction, and I can confidently say that they have earned a lifelong customer.

I love this place. I bought my mother a sweater and she washed it in her machine forever. She passed, It's mine now. It still looks as good as new.

Went in just to look around and came out with a super soft alpaca fur cape/ jacket at a surprisingly great price - thank you for what is now my favorite piece of clothing! Looking forward to stopping in and getting more alpaca clothes/ accessories/ decor in the future!

I was drawn in by the cute alpaca, sheep dolls. Their furs were so soft =uwu=. The sign did allow feeling how soft the furs were (so soft and heavenly). It was quite nice to go back to basics and judge quality items after having the first-hand sensation of touch vs buying stuff online from looking and guessing. I bought quality gifts for friends, family, and for myself. The scarf is keeping me quite warm during this week of arctic cold. Thank you to the kind lady who helped me pick out gifts for my parents! :)

I have always had an amazing experience every time I’ve stopped by here for the holidays and the staff has made me feel very welcome and taken care of (they can even help educate on proper care and fitting). 2-3 years ago I bought a pair of the Peyton Sheepskin Boots from Rena and Berndt and they have held up PERFECTLY, and I wear them more than any other shoe I own (and they even do great in the snow and ice, which is amazing for a fashionable boot!) Today I got the Tundra Boot that I have been wanting for years and was beyond happy with the experience Darrell was able to give me even while it was so busy!!! HUGE thank you to Rena, Berndt, Darrell, and the whole team! I’ll definitely be coming back.

Bert was really friendly. A bit pushy but I finally bought things I actually wanted. Pushed me out of my comfort zone to make the purchase. I really enjoyed the experience, I look forward to coming back in October to get some alpaca throws for my home.

I just loved the alpacas, they look super cute my girlfriend end up getting some boots, and I had to adopt one of the alpacas along with a hat. Love the store and the people there really want you to have a nice experience

They have excellent products (this is why I give them 3 stars), but I found myself unable to comfortably browse them due to the very strange, overbearing behavior of the salesman. Salespeople should be able to read their customers and understand that when a potential customer says, "I am just looking," they wish to browse unmolested. The salesman instead followed me around the shop and stood uncomfortably close, alternating between staring and me and picking up various products. Unable to focus, I left without buying anything. A shame, really.

I had visited this shop two years ago with my boyfriend, and the saleswoman who was there at the time was similarly aggressive. I think it's possible this store prides itself on "service." but the salespeople don't have the interpersonal skills to recognize when a costumer wishes to shop in peace. The behavior of the salespeople made me feel unwanted there, as if they thought I were a thief, or dressed too poorly to be in their shop. I'm sure some customers appreciate their one-on-one approach, but the salespeople need to understand that some do not.

They sell nice products but they accused my friend and I of stealing. We were looking around just browsing and they followed us after we left. The shop owner, instead of talking to us to catch our attention, put his hand on my back to stop me, didn’t appreciate that. Good store but they could work on their customer service and remember not to touch strangers. I may not have minded but not everyone is ok with being touched by strangers.

The store doesn’t offer returns - I was told that the receipt mentions that. It is funny since you get the receipt after you make the payment. Store should display it upfront.

Horrible experience with this company. I purchased boots at a fair and they didn't have my size. They said they would ship them to me and they called me a week later and left a voicemail to say they don't have my size and would refund me. When I called back I got Denise and she was unhappy to talk to me. She had me text her my info about the boots and she never replied. I had to reach out 4 more times to get a response. She then said they had the boots and would ship them. They sent the wrong size. I reached back out and no response. Do not buy from them!
