La Quinta Cliffhouse

Had a wonderful meal at the Cliffhouse in La Quinta. The setting at this restaurant is amazing as it looks over a cliff. The service got off to a rocky start but recovered, and the food was outstanding. This is a special occasion place to dine at in the Palm Springs area.

In all my 28 years, born & raised in the CV. I finally got to experience The Cliff house Restaurant. & I was nooot disappointed.

Hubby & I arrived at 6:30. We had the choice to be seated inside or out. We sat inside, to where we walk into a huge beautiful bar 🍸 😍 Our table was facing towards the bar & the huge tv's where they had golf, soccer & baseball games on. We were also able to look behind us & got the most beautiful CV sunset view😍

We ordered a signature Cadillac & the Grapefruit Margarita 🍹 We shared a Ceasars salad for our starter, ordered the Short Ribs for dinner & an ice cream wedge for dessert 🔥 😋

That Saladdddd thoughhh , oooooo that must have been the best mf salad I've ever had!!! The dressing is what made the cherry on top. It was so delicious that I asked for a second salad. Before my 2nd salad came too the table, our short ribbs came out with smashed potato's with a huge tender juicy chunk of meat on top, with perfectly chared/grilled brussel sprouts, (we dont even eat brussel sprouts but with the combination of each in ever bitee, ooooo sweet lord jesus, it was 🔥) & topped with some magic sauce drizzled over the dish. ( I swear I'm gonna need the recipe to all these sauces, lol)
Omg ! & when that vanilla ice cream wedge came out uffffffff we both looked at each other & thought we were not gonna be able to finish it all. BUUUT WE DIDDD 🤣🤣

WE WILL DEFINITELY BE COMING BACK !

& in all our table was about $150 for a 2 person party.

& OF COUSE WE TIPPED!

We THANK the bartender, servers, foodrunners & bussers for the excellent service & all was well worth it.
Next time, we're gonna sit outside though too get an even better view of the sunset (;

Went for our anniversary dinner and had the sunset two course dinner. Was just the right amount of food. Service was excellent and the views were very nice

Beautiful establishment with excellent service. I ordered the Surf n' Turf and it was everything I needed. The steak was juicy and tender. The lobster tail was nice and plump. Everything was perfect!

My wife and I have been wanting to try the Cliffhouse for a while so we came here for our anniversary. The best way I can describe the Cliffhouse is to imagine Duke's Malibu in the desert. A lot of the menu items are similar, and if you swap out the ocean with an giant rock cliff in the desert, WHAM, you have the Cliffhouse. My wife and I just so happen to really like Duke's so we both had a very pleasant evening at the Cliffhouse.
We started off with the mussels and the calamari. The calamari was decent, but the mussels were pretty good. The only thing that was missing was something like bread to soak up the curry broth. They provide complimentary bread when you sit down, but unfortunately, I had already eaten all the bread.
For the mains, we shared the bone in ribeye and the half portion of the ahi tuna. This all this was plenty of food for the both of us. The ribeye was very tender, and while the ahi tuna wasn't as good as the ahi tuna at Dukes, we're also in a desert over 100 miles from the ocean, so I can't really complain.
When we made our reservation, we mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary. I'm not sure if this is normal, but they provided us with a complimentary Ice Cream Wedge. My wife and I had no idea they did this, but we also laughed when the dessert came out because it was identical to the Hula Pie at Dukes. We loved this Ice Cream Wedge and it was the perfect way to end our night.
The service here is great, and the overall ambiance of the restaurant is unique.

Fabulous! It was an experience where each bite was better than the last! Wine was amazing. Beautiful restaurant. Service was great. Eat oysters, goat cheese Flatbread, braised short ribs and seabass ceviche. Highly recommend 👌

We thought about coming here for many years. Time finally worked out and boy it didn’t disappoint. Mario’s first greeting and wonderful personality made an evening out perfect! The patio setting made for a memorable evening. The food was divine and we will definitely recommend.

Wow, what a beautiful scenery! This restaurant has it all! You first enter the restaurant next to a pond and go over a staircase on the cliff to enter the main restaurant where you are greeted by the waiter and are taken to your table (make sure to make a reservation ahead of time!). The ambiance in the restaurant is great. There is also plenty of outdoor seating overlooking the city from atop, with a magnificent view during sunset. There is also a waterfall and a ram statue.

As for the food, the price vs taste is pretty good. There is plenty of food on your plate, and it also tastes great! The steaks are very good and they will get it exactly to your liking. Overall, everything about this place is great in regards to food!

The servers are very kind and friendly as well. They do their best to accommodate you and make sure you are not missing anything. A huge props to them!

Overall, the experience you get at this restaurant is unlike any other because of its environment. A must try for anyone living in or visiting the valley!

One thing I would have changed, was our table was too close to another couple. This was the night before Christmas Eve & I wanted a romantic setting.

Lovely experience. Made a reservation on Open Table. They can book up so highly recommend making a reservation as soon as you can. Sometimes, the day/time I've wanted has been booked a week in advance. We sat on the patio. They have heaters so the winter chill waa not an issue. The service and food waa great. Be did early bird it so we got the sunset supper before 5. We were not super hungry so it was perfect. No leftovers to take home. On Wednesdays they also have 1/2 off wine bottles. Lovely selection of wine. Buy its the whole experience that makes it wonderful.

Delicious food, lovely evening with friends. You can get half portions of some of the menus items which make it less expensive. It truly is built into the side of a mountain with real waterfalls! Wait staff is very attentive.

Its everything you expect from a great restaurant. The food was cooked to perfection. Seasoned wonderfully, the staff was friendly and very attentive, couldn't ask for a better location, and the architecture itself is stunning. A perfect place to spend with family and friends.

This is the ideal restaurant to go to for a date night or a special occasion. The food and drinks are amazing, and the ambiance is perfect for romance or getting reacquainted with someone.

There is ample outdoor seating on their deck which overlooks their waterfall. And keep an eye out for the ram statute atop the hillside. Our reservation was for after the sun went down, but I think this would be a beautiful place to watch the sunset.

Our favorite appetizer were the bacon wrapped dates. My husband was a little skeptical at first as he’s not a big date eater, but he was quickly made into a convert (and you will be too, if you try them). Husband had the rigatoni for his meal, but I ordered the seafood stew, and it was unreal! If you like spicy food, just ask your server to have the chef turn up the heat, and they will spice it for you expertly. It was also a large portion, so I had plenty of leftovers for the next day.

Didn’t have room for dessert, but they had a wide array of delicious looking selections, so next time I will try to remember that. Overall, an amazing night, and one that will not soon be forgotten.

La Quinta Cliff House is a wonderful restaurant. The setting is lovely. There are several dining rooms and a full service Bar. Service is very attentive, you are welcomed upon entry, and checked on by staff throughout the dining experience. The food is delicious including fresh fish. Short ribs, salads and appetizers. There is also a Bar menu offering lighter fare. Well worth a visit.

Wonderful place for happy hour as well as dinner. Our bartender Mario was very attentive and took great care of our party! It’s truly amazing how this restaurant is built into a cliff. We had the happy hour burger and fries and the short rib. Both were excellent!

Food is good but is not amazing. For those prices I would expect something better but is good. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is just great I love the waterfall they have.
My favorite dish was the cilantro corn soup.
In the photo is the ceviche and was good.

We were so excited to try this place and it did not disappoint! Every single aspect of the meal and service was perfect. This capped off our wonderful vacation in Palm Springs and we will definitely be back. Thank you for a memorable experience.

The food was amazing and the cocktails were amazing as well. Our server Kaylor was excellent. Overall we had a great time and it was a fantastic experience. I would highly recommend visiting as it is a great restaurant

Excellent! Had the shrimp tempura and a Breckinridge Christmas Ale, it’s the season! Very reasonable prices and happy hour, the prawns were giant, clean and fresh. Loved the music, cozy bar chairs and college football on the tvs inside at the bar.
