Cove Oasis Trailhead

Always fun hiking through the desert, but after the tropical storm Hillary things are new and fun!

I have hiked this area before, but today I went up to a very remote side canyon. I saw some big animal footprints and got a bit nervous in that small ambush canyon.
But please hike to the oasis you will love it 😁

A lovely park with hiking trails. The mountains surrounding the area are beautiful.

Very nice trail! It varies in difficulties and I brought my pup. All other dogs I saw around were leashed (as was mine). It was my dog’s first hike and he seemed to enjoy the sights and smells! There is a section on one of the trails that don’t allow dogs because there are apparently mountain goats around.

Many different trail markers along with way, which ever route you take, pay attention to markers. The trails are well marked and maintained. I love the purple and rust rocks.

Easy trails. Mostly flat, very light grade. Picnic tables to rest but probably not needed. Clear defined trails.

Parking was limited but trail was very nice. Trail posts were visible and maps were informative. Dogs allowed. Bring water!!

Really cool scenery. Catch the late day light hitting the hills and mountains and majestic views await. Easy walking.

This is a great group of trails. I often hike up the bear creek and then climb out back to the trail to loop back to the trailhead

Bear Creek Trail was good. A lot of soft sand before the actual climbing.
