Avis Car Rental

I love how it went without a hitch. The car we got is more than we bargained for. It did not smell of tobacco or any other offensive smell. The staff in the Sacramento Airport were nice and efficient.

After poor experiences at other airport car rentals, I have gone to AVIS exclusively for quite some time. "If" there are any issues they are handled quickly and professionally. Changes to the schedule on my part (extending rental time for example) are handled with no issues.

Sacramento Avis team are amazing. I travel through their location quite often and they are friendly and attentive both at pick up and return of your vehicle. Not once have I had a vehicle that wasn't clean and properly serviced.

Avis agents @ SMF on 1/6/24 approx 1030am @ Preferred desk were awesome! Thanks for a great experience. You made this trip a bit more tolerable. Keep up the great work ladies. 👏🏽

**Please remove the automatic $5 gas charge. This has been happening repeatedly lately even though the tanks are refilled.

Incredible service to be quite honest. I had major issues because of an airline issue.
These folks both at pick up & delivery really made me fee valued. It was so fantastic, I never post reviews!

Avis car rental has good rates. Previously I used Enterprise but their rates are ridiculously high now; I'm not sure of the reason. The process is easy. I rented a car from Avis in Sacramento CA, and last year was in San Francisco California with Avis; both rentals went very smoothly.

Avis rental car experience has been the best amongst other car companies I have used. Avis does not try to squeeze an extra penny like some of the other car rental agencies; HERTZ being the worst!!

The check in went smoothly. The rep asked if we wanted an upgrade and insurance. We declined. He was not pushy. He was transparent and answered our questions. The car was excellent—clean and exactly the size we wanted. Return check in was fast and easy, honestly less than 5 minutes. I suggest getting you car chosen and paid for in advance. I think that helps the entire process. Yes, I would recommend Avis based on our California Sacramento experience.

This location always provides an enjoyable experience. The hours of operation are quite convenient. Eric and other members of the crew provide exceptional customer service. This is the place to go if you need a rental; I wouldn't go somewhere else unless I was in a different city or state.

Some reviews were poor and some were great so I decided to give it a try and rent from this place. Overall it was positive experience. Originally I rented pickup truck but upon arrival I was told they don’t have it. I was offered other 4 cars: Nissan Rogue, Mitsubishi Outlander, Jeep Compass and Subaru Outback. I chose the last one. The car had around 39K miles on it. Tires were brand new and tread was deep which was very good for me since I was going to go to Tahoe region during snow storm. The car had all modern features (car play, adaptive cruise control, usb ports etc) and winter package (heated steering wheel, heated front and rear seats, heated side mirrors, all wheel drive etc).
I have to mention that there was no line at the counter. I did a pre-check and getting a car was easy and fast. The lady behind the counter was nice and friendly.
Drop off process was easy too. I would rent from this place again.

I rented a vehicle with Avis this past weekend and was very pleased with their overall service. From booking to picking up my vehicle, it was by far the quickest, easiest and most enjoyable experience I’ve had. Front desk was friendly & helpful, service was smooth & I especially enjoyed receiving my keys & being able to walk straight to my vehicle without extra assistance or hassle. The vehicle I was given was exactly what I had requested. I will definitely be using Avis again for all upcoming trips.

Drop off process was super smooth. Intake guy was very friendly and efficient. Less than 5 minutes to get it done and walk to shuttle that was waiting.

This was an especially pleasant visit to see my son and grandson. The Sacramento Avis was "out of" cars on my arrival, but I had a full-size car reserved. They upgraded me to a Hyundi Ioniq EV, which fit me better than any full-size car I've tried before. (I'm 6'4" and 300lbs.)

This place should have a five star rating! Used Avis for a week long rental. I made a car reservation through southwest. I had originally planned on using Thrifty because their price was about $100 better. But after looking over their reviews I cancelled and booked with Avis. So glad I made the switch. I have a family of 5, we asked for a standard suv. Got to drive a Toyota 4Runner which met our needs perfectly! The line at checkin maybe took 3 mins and I did the pre check scan to speed things up. The tellers were incredibly helpful and personable. I looked down the hall to the other rental agencies and sure enough the agency I would’ve booked with had a huge line and barely any tellers. So glad I made the change and spared myself that headache. My charges were what I expected and deposit was returned to me. Drop off is so fast! Pull up, they greet you, scan a code on the windshield, then send you an email confirmation instantly. I was in shock at how much of a breeze it was and their exceptional customer service! Oh and bus shuttles to and from airport are constantly running. We maybe waited five minutes to grab a shuttle at both arrival and return. Thank you Avis!

Everything went pretty good with my rental. I did get a slow leak in one of my tires, however. Avis was able to swap the old car with a new one that was located at a local airport. I really didn't lose much time at all which was great.

Arrived in Sacramento for business meetings/social gathering. I had ordered a Hybrid to help mitigate the higher cost of gas in CA. The attendant offered me an all-electric Genesis G80. I was amazed at the appearance, comfort and handling of the car. I asked about charging it before returning - he said that I need not worry about that; they will charge it. Great experience.

Soooo my flight got cancelled due to the tropical storm. I had to scramble quickly to find away back home to San Diego. Avis not only got me into a car quickly but they even upgraded me!! Blake, thank you and your team for taking good care of me. You guys made my trip that much better.
