Hertz Car Rental - Sacramento International Airport

I see a lot of bad reviews on here but I have to say I had a wonderful experience. I booked in advance but my flight was delayed and they were closed when I landed but they were able to accommodate me the next morning. The service was extremely fast and very friendly. My trip had been a nightmare so far and getting the rental car stuff sorted was just incredible and took a huge weight off of me. I came in on Mothers Day weekend and despite the business I got in while there was no line and they got me taken care of super quick. Erick and Pawan were amazing!!!

I received my rental approximately 12-15 minutes after the pick up time because there was a small line. If you approach the desk with your ID and confirmation number in hand they’ll get your squared away pretty quickly. Shoutout to Enrico.

I received an upgrade to a 2023 model, same price as my original booking, and got the car seat I rented. Mommas and poppas, I’m looking at you.

Always have great experience with the on-site staffs. Decent selections from the president circle section. The staffs are also very great at accommodating with some of my vehicle selection request. pre-Covid, I have probably rented 20+ time from this location.

I love the pick your own car feature for gold members. The staff greeted me when
I first arrived on the lot and were cheerful and welcoming.

Dropping off my car here was the best way to end my trip! Amit saw that I was going to the airport; when he saw I had a lot of heavy luggage, he told me he’s going to have someone drop me off so I don’t have to struggle with all of my things on the shuttle. Denver took me to the airport and we had a lovely conversation! I was treated with such kindness and thoughtfulness. I will be back to this exact spot if I’m in Sacramento and in need of a rental car. Thank you!!!

They didn't have the car we asked for and as plus members I was a bit annoyed. However, we were able to pick a car. Nothing was really up to par with what we reserved. We still got a nice car and it was VERY quick as a plus member to just walk out and pick a car.

Great, but when we picked up the car
In reno we waited for 1 1/2 hrs to get the car that we reserved 6 month advance.
There were only 2 lines and the gold members were also waiting. Could there

Efficient in and out. The shuttle on the other hand much less so . . . Worth padding to account for extra time at arrival and departure as a result.

I made a reservation ahead of time for work travel. The day before traveled, I looked at the reviews for this location and got a little nervous seeing the recent one star reviews. (I have unfortunately had some negative experiences at different Hertzs at different airports.) However, my experience was a positive. I took the shuttle from SMF to the rental car location. As a group plus member, I was able to bypass going inside and easily found my name on the board. No issues picking up or returning the rental. Did not find any crazy charges on my receipt.

Yama sarwari help me for the second time in proper way with smile face and professional customer service. yama is the person to go by. he is very professional, helpful and his attitude is positive and customer centric. he is awesome at what he does. Highly recommend to meet yama in help-desk in Hertz by the Sacramento International Airport.

This was one of the best car rental experiences I've had. The car I ordered was available and in the promised location, keys were in it, and we were off in a matter of minutes.

The car itself was exactly as promised. It was in excellent condition and everything was in working order. We had no problems during our trip.

The return process went so smoothly that we felt as if it wasn't a rental at all. We dropped it off and were at our airport terminal in less than five minutes! It was a great experience from beginning to end.

Seamless and easy rental with Hertz at the Sacramento airport. I signed up for a gold membership to help skip lines and hassle. When I arrived, I went straight to the lot. There were a couple employees waiting to help customers find the right car section per their gold reservation. They directed me to the right place. I perused the solid selection of cars and found one to my liking (low mileage, very clean, everything working well). Exited the lot and went on my way. When I returned, the check-in/drop-off process was equally hassle-free. I dropped off the car and within 5 minutes was on my way to the rental shuttle back to the airport terminal. I will definitely rent with Hertz again if I'm in the Sacramento area.

A very professional and efficient staff greeted us at the counter. While there was a little hiccup with my information online, a very nice gentleman took the time to correct everything in their system and double check all my requests for the car I was renting. The car was nice and met all our needs and when we returned it, the young man took just a couple of minutes to inspect the car and printed my receipt as requested. I've used other car rental companies in the past, but Hertz has always been the very best one to deal with and will continue to do so.

We returned our rental car after two weeks. It was easy and charges were as expected.

When we had first rented the car, the customer service representative was quite helpful, especially changing the reservation from my wife to me. Not an easy task when you book through a travel service. Had to be done because my wife was unable to drive with a fractured right foot in a boot.

Being a frequent Hertz renter I don't have to worry about waiting in line to pickup, and get to go directly to my car. As we started driving off the lot we realized the tank was only half full. At the gate where they check your info we let the attendant know and he immediately said "I'll comp the entire tank of gas, or you can take another car." He didn't ask for a supervisor, cause a fuss, just solved the issue quickly and efficiently. We elected for the free tank of gas and upon returning the car empty nobody batted an eye. Great service!
