This is a restaurant in the market with a shared common eating area. My daughter refuses to eat anywhere else.

The udon is actually very well done, as are the pork & beef rice bowls. Healthy portions, and you can add whatever you want. It's all pretty tasty.

This is a nice place to eat before or after shopping at the attached Asian market. Delicious Asian cuisine. Fast service. Clean dining area. The kitchen staff was very conscientious about helping me with my allergy needs. Pleasant dining staff and cashier. Will eat here again!

Always good food here. Anything on the menu is yum. Cooked fresh and great portions. We love coming here and the noodle place next door. You can't go wrong and grab some groceries at Mitsuwa.

Excellent chicken katsu. Very very nice and friendly people too! Came here thrice during my trip.

Great little spot. Very authentic food at a very reasonable price. Sudan fried pork cutlets and rice bowls. Nothing over $10.

Authentic casual Japanese fare in a food court setting. Musashiya serves up tasty comfort food from the land of the rising sun. Prices are reasonable, and portions are Japanese-balanced...but also a bit Americanized. The 5 star rating is for value.

Don't sleep on Soba or Udon! Absolutely 🔥🔥🔥

My son had his plate and he liked it. It appeared tho it took much longer for them to bring the food compared to mine from the next door competitor who brought my dish super fast.

Awesome udon. Spent quite a bit of time in Japan and this is pretty on par to what you'd find there.

It can be hard to find an authentic Japanese cafeteria style place. Lucky for you, this is the place to go in San Diego. They specialize in udon, which is a very specific thick noodle. Unlike US restaurants, restaurants in other places around the world specialize in typically only one food. And I can tell you that the food here is absolutely special. No questions asked. It’s nourishing, a little savory, and just a bit sweet.

I love this food court and restaurant. Tempura and udon always hit the spot.

Along with the stores that are nearby, they have everything and made me feel like I was back in Japan. Great fresh items and the staff is very helpful. Make sure to grab some fresh curry chicken from their small restaurant as well.

Inside of Mitsuwa- the char sui miso Ramen was delicious. The broth was rich & very flavorful!

I've been here more than a few times. Food is always on point. The food display for combos they have is great! Just like Japan. I'd love to eat here daily.

The buta shogayaki (豚書がやき) is really good and technically a seasonal special.

The Gyudon (ぎゅどん) bowl is my usual go-to tho!

Lived in Japan for 2 years, been back stateside for almost a year. Let me tell you, I felt like I was right back in Iwakuni again. The food was amazing and I will be coming back at least 2 times a week.

Use to be known as Kayaba before. Love the curry and rice bowls they have. Seating can still be hard to find during lunch time but well worth it!
