Coa in La Conner has the friendliest staff.. We thoroughly enjoyed chatting with our server and they made it feel like we were with family. Their passion fruit margaritas are amazing and your eyes will pop when you see how big the Micheladas are! Great tacos, freshly made chips and guacamole and the tomatillo hot sauce is on point! The space is super cute too!

Best Mexican restaurant in Island and Skagit counties with an authentic selection of dishes and drinks .

My Chicken Mole was delicious, dark, cinnamon hinted and complex Mole over chunks of grilled chicken breast.

The fresh chips and creamy guacamole were great as well.

Attentive and friendly staff in a great location as you drive into La Connor.

This place is a home run all the way around. Their new location is amazing, although parking can be a little bit of a hassle from time to time. But the carne asada with bacon wrapped shrimp was on point!!! It paired beautifully with the blue margarita.

One thing we didn't like is being charged $1.50 for extra chips and $2$ for extra salsa after we bought guacamole add on and expensive upgraded margaritas.

Very inviting atmosphere and fantastic host and wait staff. Ambiance was cozy, yet not cramped, good music (not too loud), high Victorian era ceilings, clean, tables and booths. It makes for a great date or family outing. Their house margarita was so good and with beautiful presentation. Delicious homemade chips and salsa while you wait. Service is fast but not too fast. I recommend the pico de gallo and one of the most memorable meals I've ever had...the Molcajete. Absolutely out of this world. It is enough for three people (even though it says two). The photo I posted gives you an idea, but it doesn't do it justice. The flavors, the salsa, nopales...all the things. chef's kiss!

Very, very good Mexican restaurant in La Conner. Prices were good but the quality and service were top notch. Our server Patricia was so pleasant and gave great recommendations for tequila and cocktails. Food was super good too, and the rice and beans served with it was next level. Can't remember ever having rice and beans feel as delicious and essential.

COA is a must-visit Mexican cuisine destination in this area. The parking is limited so plan accordingly. The interior is very modern and elegant, with great art and decorations in every sight line. The chairs are comfortable and the space is an open concept with outdoor seating available. All the encounters we had with the staff were professional, friendly, and efficient. The prices of the food and drinks are on the higher side, but we felt it was totally worth it. The blue margarita was spectacular and we quite enjoyed the tequila. Usually when we get margaritas we can tell if the alcohol is cheap. This was top shelf stuff. The corn chips / salsa were so satisfying. The chips had a big crunch but were so light, and it complimented the salsa very well. Great ratios of ingredients and it tasted light and refreshing. My enchiladas were delicious, usually I don't like the green sauce but this one impressed me. My wife's chimichanga was the best she'd ever had. Same goes with the mole sauce, I've never had a better one anywhere else. Everyone else loved their food and my uncle even had a custom order that wasn't on the menu and they accommodated him entirely. The sopapillas were also the best ever, and the churros were just good (big dessert portions, make sure to split it). Overall, an incredible experience and we will be back for more!

Very pleasant surprise! Great service, food, and atmosphere. Prices seemed a little high until we got the food. Fajita platter could probably serve 3 people, still eating leftovers!

Beautiful Mexican restaurant in the heart of La Conner, WA. This is the best Mexican food in WA state and I don't say that lightly. Originally from Arizona and it’s been near impossible finding good Mexican food here. So good I had to speak to the owner Sarah and tell her. She was so sweet and kind. Please support her as they grow this place!

If you’re looking for a fun vibe, great Latino music, incredible food and even better drinks, this is the place for you. We came around early dinner, were seated immediately, chips n salsa to die for - get the guacamole - made fresh daily! Cadillac margarita is the only way to go - decorated so beautifully! Sarah said they only use middle shelf and above. We got fajitas and carne asada y camarones and the food is delicious. Mango pico de gallo omg! The servers were so friendly - very nice place for families too! This place gets a 5/5! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best Mexican food I've had in a long time. I had the chile relleno, which was fantastic (the egg around it was so thick and good), and my husband got the enchiladas. He scoffed a bit at the chili lime rim on his beer glass, but the next thing I knew he was licking it off the glass. We also ordered the guacamole, which is not to be missed because the chips were still warm. Service was attentive and friendly.

This was an amazing restaurant. We highly recommend the carne asada. The chips and salsa were delicious. Margaritas are pretty good. The menu was labeled for gluten-free eating.

OMG this place was amazing! I had the trees enchiladas and my husband had the carne asada and they were sooo good! The green poblano crema sauce was amazing!! We also had a house margarita and a mojito to drink. They were the best drinks! And the service here was fantastic! Very helpful and friendly.

We will definitely be coming back.

We were in La Conner for a long weekend and checked out COA for some Mexican food and tequila. The atmosphere is great and the vibe really adds to the delicious food and drinks. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful about the area, the food and drinks were good enough that we came back a second time over the weekend just to have some more!

Outdoor patio is AWESOME lots of tables with 🔥

We had:
Molcajete- which I highly recommend especially for a couple to share, the meat was delicious and juicy and the variety and quantity is plenty for two people, was also served with rice, beans and veggies.

Ceviche - definitely grab some of this, a perfect appetizer and or snack to go with the variety of drinks.

Chile relleno- great flavor, breading was light. I really enjoy the way they serve up beans and rice, beans are especially tasty, don’t get me wrong I have no issue with refried beans but the whole beans are especially good.

Enchiladas- the ability to mix and match meats was cool and allowed for some variety without having to order multiple dishes, the green sauce on them was especially delicious.

Drinks- we had a BUNCH! I love tequila bars and when combined with a great taqueria you know it’s on! Jalapeño margarita was large and tasty, Paloma was a hit, strawberry margarita and Michelada all hit the spot. Almost all drinks had a Chile/tajin rim which I definitely prefer over salt, and the tequila options are plentiful especially with regards to Anejo and reposado!

I will definitely be going back anytime I’m staying up north, plus this place was walking distance to downtown and our hotel so no worries enjoying the tequila options!

Thank you to the COA staff!

If you're searching for an authentic Mexican food experience, look no further than COA in La Connor, Washington. This place is a diamond in the rough, and their aromatic mole sauce is something special. I don't know what magic they're using in that kitchen, but it's the best damn sauce I've ever had.

The carne asada? Holy cow. Tender, juicy, perfectly cooked. This is the kind of dish that will make you want to lick your plate clean. But don't stop there. The Cadillac margherita is the crown jewel of their drink menu - fit for a king. One sip and you'll feel like you're sitting on a beach in Cancun, watching the waves roll in.

COA is the real deal, folks. Don't let the unassuming exterior fool you. This is where you go when you want to taste some of the best Mexican food and drinks in America. Five stars, all the way.

Excellent food. Homemade chips and great salsa. Chimichanga with pulled pork came with rice and beans. Hubby had tres enchilada plate. We both loved our meals. Great guacamole also. Love this place!

Fancy Mexican food that leaves you thinking it might have been healthy. The loco burrito is more than any one person needs to eat. Meat is a little on the dry side but there are great flavors with the sauces on top. Lots of whole beans and rice inside, with cheese and some greens. Street burrito might be a more realistic choice for the average human. Great margarita with tajin rim.

This is by far my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. There are at least two COA locations, one in Mt. Vernon and one in LaConner. My favorite is the LaConner location as I enjoy the atmosphere and overall feel of the space. The food is wonderful and reasonably priced. The chips are AMAZING, and the salsa and guacamole are very good. Every main dish I've had is excellent. I can't say enough about how much I love this place. I'm so glad this is not run of the mill Mexican food. It's fresh tasting and always worth the drive to get there.
