Money Pit

The service is fast, the food is amazing, the desserts are fabulous, the pricing is unbeatable. I don't see any reason to go to any fast food restaurant when this place is a thousand times better in literally every way.

First visit to this fun little place, walked.in and was transported to a different time. Very unique and fun spot for a quick bite. Food was fast and fresh and hot. The cashier was nice, but English was not very good and hard to understand. We finally got ordered and sat down to enjoy the ambiance. No trash cans all trash is picked up by a staff member.

This is the cutest place on the map in this area, and they serve great food too? Oh my gravy a double whammy of satisfaction.

The decor is adorable either way everything related to money in one way or another. The table tops have coins and poker chips with playing cards. It’s covered in a glass top and they’re all varied in design. So cute. But cute wouldn’t cut it if the food wasn’t any good. The food is spot on delicious and they bring it to your table after you order at the counter.

Breakfast is served all day. I’ve heard I need to try their breakfast wrap. I have been here 3x for late lunch and after the first time we learned to order one serving of fries. There’s enough fries or onions rings in one order to make two people happy. Serving sizes are plentiful. All three visits I ended up bringing food home as I got too full to eat it all.

If you want cute decor, excellent food and friendly service, try the Money Pit and just like Ma and I, I bet you’ll be back. This is where we plan to bring friends from out of town! A different experience they’ll never forget. There’s a drive thru, but then you’d miss the full experience. That’d be a shame.

Money Pit is a San Marcos staple! I have been coming to this place since I was 15 (almost 15 years ago) and it is always exactly the same and a super good price. I always stick with the Spicy chicken sandwich and don’t forget to drop the extra .50 for the ranch (that they make in house) because that’s what keeps me coming back!

This place has the small town diner feel to it with amazing food to show with it! I’ve been dying to find somewhere that serves good fried mushrooms around Escondido.

stopped in for dinner and ordered a chocolate milk shake, cheese fries, chili cheese coney, and a cheeseburger.

when i say, it was the best milk shake i’ve ever had i am not over exaggerating! i drank the entire thing!!

the cheese fries were literally 10/10. cheese was melted to perfection and the fries were the perfect amount of soft but still slightly crispy.

the burger was delicious as well. i added grilled jalapenos and omg!!! 10/10

i don’t usually like chili cheese dogs but i wanted to try there’s out and it was yummy but just not my thing.

prices were great and service was amazing! highly recommend! will be returning multiple times!!!

I recently visited Money Pit and was blown away by their burgers! The Bacon Avocado Cheeseburger was my favorite the combination of crispy bacon, avocado, and juicy beef patty was simply perfect. The fries were also great; hot, crispy, and well-seasoned. The service was fast and friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy and familiar. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious burgers at reasonable prices!

It is a simple place to dine in or to drive through. Quick and speedy service as well as friendly service. The food is really good. I love this place. My favorite dish is the grilled chicken salad. The burgers are amazing as well.

Delicious! A burger done right with prices done even better! French fries were perfect! I would recommend and would come here over in n out any day. Will be trying more items from the menu

We got cheeseburgers, fries, milkshake and the junkyard dog. Everything was warm, fresh and delicious! The entire family enjoyed the food so much we are already wanting to go back!

Excellent food affordable prices. I have stopped going to the majority of fast food restaurants as thier prices have gotta ridiculously high and the food really isn't worth the prices. But money pit is always top notch. The cooks put love into everything they make.

This place is always good. Food is great, service is great. I've never had anything I didn't enjoy, and I've tried many things on the menu. Fried mushrooms are AWESOME

Recently just moved to San Marcos a few months ago. Thought this place was a bank 😂. Came here after a friend recommended me. The quality of food for the price is absolutely insane. Beats In-n-Out and Freddy’s for me. Iykyk 🤷🏽‍♀

What a great spot! I was brought here and, therefore, did not know what to expect. I was very surprised. Such a cool, novel atmosphere. The creative minds behind this spot are just that... creative.
To top it all off, the food was great! I do not generally like onion rings BUT I think I found the exception :) I could ramble on about how good the fish/tartar sauce combo was or how they gave me a bunch of delicious salsa but I think you just need to go give it a shot.

The last inexpensive breakfast place in North County. It used to be a bank, then turned restaurant, hence the name.

“The mess” is what I got (pictured)— so good. Definitely get it. You can get some of the food in either a “wrap” or plated which is cool.

This place has Denny’s vibes but unlike Dennys after covid they didnt slash their menu in half.

The tables have various board games, newspaper cut outs, and pictures made of real money (epoxied of course). The name is more intimidating than anything, everything is reasonably priced, smells clean, it’s got diner vibes, it’s what you’d expect for what it is.

Great spot for lunch and dinner! Drive through takes a bit but it looks like things are made to order, which is understandable. Perfect 5/7
