Sushi Huku

Came here for a family dinner. Plenty of options for rolls and we liked most of the ones we ordered. The best part was that each sushi was within the $13 to $20 range which was reasonable. The best sushi in our opinion were the ones which had seared fish on top (maybe Red Bandana Roll but not sure)

The food is great! Portions are very generous and the quality of the fish is evidently superior to most sushi restaurants that I have eaten at. I highly recommend that you give this place a try! You won't regret it!

All around 5-stars! The atmosphere was great! This place is the spot that locals frequent and the sushi chefs seems to know everyone! Or maybe they are just that welcoming.

We got the dinner plate with 2 options-we got the beef and salmon, came with a miso soup and a salad. We also ordered the popcorn lobster roll and the yellow tale roll both rolls were tasty. The popcorn lobster roll was topped with a hushpuppies-type balls that were very different but still tasty. My partner also got the blood orange tap beer and he loved it.

Superb mom and pop resturant in San Marcos thriving with loyal customers. The food remains delicious over the years and service always friendly.
Prices have gone up a tad, but the portions are huge and enough for two.

This place is sooooo good. The sushi dinner is a ton of food for a great price. Can’t wait to go back!

Enjoyed our visit here! We were greeted at the door, and brought to our table, with no waiting. Our server was very attentive, as were the other servers if they saw a plate needed clearing, or a drink needed refilling. Our meal was served with very little wait time. Everything-from the appetizer to the main meal- was absolutely delicious! There is a lot of food with each roll. The Sashimi combo was very fresh. The atmosphere was very friendly. I would definitely come here again. I would also recommend it if you’ve never been! Great little sushi restaurant!

This is my favorite Sushi place in all of San Diego county! They have great roles, great service, and great rice*. (For those true sushi connoisseurs, you will know what Im talking about). I live in by SDSU and drive all the way up, just to eat here. Highly recommend!!

I was craving sushi and stumbled upon this place with a few friends. We were not disappointed! Great service, delicious rolls, price was fair. The server recommended a few rolls, 2 which I picked and they were super good. One friend ordered the salmon and was exquisite, while another ordered the ramen and was also delighted. Will be back!

SUPER excited to have found this place. I'll drive a little further just to have this quality and value. They don't give rice rolls like other sushi bars. Loaded with fish!!
The staff can be hit or miss when crowded. Owner is friendly.

Sushi is pretty good but I go for the poke bowl. BEST POKE EVER + comes with miso soup! Friendly + fast staff. Delightful atmosphere. Will always be back for more poke ♥

Service was great and so was the food. I usually go with my coworkers, but today I went alone since most were off so I sat at the bar. I ordered my usual, spicy sashimi salad and a lemon roll. I usually get a miso soup as well, but the weather was warm so I decided not to and instead added the scallop hand roll. Everything was delicious as always and the guys behind the bar were so nice and kept checking to see if I needed anything. I didn't eat the scallop roll so I took it to go. When I ate it later in the afternoon I wasn't too amused by it, but maybe it was because it wasn't as fresh. It was still good, but the other items I ordered were more flavorful.

Me and my Dad frequent this spot, he does business at Palomar College. We've tried all the local Sushi restaurants and this is EASILY THE BEST.
Today we had a Sashimi combo each, and I had 3 hand salmon rolls.
We usually get a large Kirin each and a large sake to share.

HUKU's fish is high QUALITY and the rolls are wrapped expertly. Get something with rice if you wanna get full, but if you are a fan of fish the SASHIMI and hand rolls are AMAZING.

The COMPETING RESTAURANTS more EXPENSIVE despite the smaller portions and LOWER QUALITY fish. One local competitor has really cheap sake but it's exactly that, CHEAP and harsh.

We think this is the "BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK" sushi in the area!

My favorite sushi place in the area. Great quality, good value. Jay is a good host. Lin is fantastic.

Despite not being a fan of California rolls, I decided to take my friends advice to try the Lemon Roll. It was one of the best rolls I've ever had! So vibrant and fresh!

This is the best sushi in town in my opinion. The owner Jay always greats us when we walk in. I love the FM roll and the Cama loco roll is a must. Food is always fresh and service is great. Prices are very fair. I miss the days that they used to play reggae music. I highly recommend this place. We come here about once a week.

Great value! They're Ramen+1 combo Got me a big bowl of Shoyu Ramen, a spicy tuna roll and a beer for 25 bucks out the door. People on both sides of me were getting some of the fancier stuff and it looked great I will definitely be back to try it

Absolutely great place. The staff is so kind and attentive. I came here by myself for lunch and nobody batted an eye and were so great and fast.

Only sushi place in San Marcos that serves soju. We like it here. Easy and fast and food is great. They also have the best music playing all the time. Old school jams from the 90’s.

Restaurant looks cozy and inviting, surprisingly busy for 2 PM, kind of loud. Stuff super fast and friendly, not pushy, just the way we like it. We didn't like the lunch special sashimi, but baked scallops were so gooood that we're definitely looking forward our next visit.
