Great sushi and a great value. They have a $17 combo that comes with two different large rolls as well as soup and salad. The amount of food you get is an absolute steal and also tastes amazing. Our server Jasmine was very friendly and answered all our questions. I have been enjoying this place for a while and will continue to as long as their doors are open

We come here about every 2 months. Consistent good service, the sushi is always tasty and fresh, and the atmosphere is casual. We typically come early as it fills up fast on the weekends. My kids love the katsu and I almost always get a spider roll as on one of our rolls.

Love, love, love this place! My family and I go here every week. Jasmin the manager is the best and the service is top notch. If you're in the area and want good sushi make sure to stop by and try the California Dreaming roll.

Alright, so I usually go the Oceanside/Carlsbad one cuz it's closer to home... but they are both Phenomenal. Here's some key differences... the music is better at the Encinitas one (reggae and island vibe stuff) the food is just as amazing. This one gets a lot more natural light which adds to the atmosphere. Everything else is essentially the same. But just wanted to leave a review for this one too so people might take the time to stop by and give it a try. I frequent the other one so much it's one of my favorite sushi spots in all of California. The garlic edmame is literally the best I've had anywhere. The Super Mario roll is absolutely amazing. The sushi is always fresh and tasty and the service is always fast and friendly. The menus are beautiful and easy to read and the pics are done so well it feels like a huge chain conglomerate but it's only got 3 locations. They have rewards for frequent flyers. They have a great kids menu. Some small mom and pop shops are great and some are terrible so you never know what you're gonna get. HOOKED ON SUSHI is literally always good, it's consistency is what keeps bringing me back. Variety is the spice of life, and I'll keep trying other spots but I am doubtful ill find that many that are better than here.

Their lunch special is DIVINE. Great value. You’ll leave full and with leftovers! Every time I come here I am seated and served quickly. The food is also consistent!

I feel like if I closed my eyes I’d believe I was having sushi from a 5-star restaurant. But it’s a casual comfortable place that’s family friendly. Win-win!

They also present their rolls beautifully. I am so happy I found this gem!

This is now our favorite sushi place! We ordered edamame and tempura veggies for starters. For main course we ordered the Crunchy Roll, Spider Roll and Samurai Roll. They all tested great, our favorite was the Crunchy roll.

Overall food is tasty and the restuarant is clean and staff are friendly. Highly recommended!

Lunch special is a great deal. Lots of good food options with big portions. I sat here for a few hours working and everyone was very nice about it. Would definitely go back!

One of our favorite sushi in our beautiful town Encinitas. It is located in the shopping plaza and we love going there . Our favorites are Homi, Bruce Lee, Mexican gone wild, their lunch specials and bento boxes are also fabulous… many many more, try and you won’t regret.

I had the pleasure of dining at Hooked on Sushi, and it was an experience that I think is worth sharing. It was an unusual scenario because I arrived just 20 minutes before closing time. Despite the timing, the staff welcomed me with open arms and displayed genuine warmth and hospitality.

I could tell they were preparing to wrap up for the day, but they didn’t let this show in their demeanor or in the quality of their service. If anything, they seemed to go the extra mile to ensure my dining experience was as good as any other customer’s would be at peak hours.

I want to commend the staff for their professional conduct. I understand that my late arrival could have been an inconvenience, and I appreciate their graciousness in accommodating me. The level of service I received was beyond what I expected, and it’s not something you come across every day.

As for the sushi, it was a feast for the taste buds. Every piece was a perfect blend of flavors and freshness, testament to the chefs’ skills and passion.

In conclusion, Hooked on Sushi not only won me over with their fantastic food but also with their exceptional customer service. They’ve set the bar high for hospitality in the industry, and I can’t wait for my next visit. OMG!! I ordered the Golden Gate Roll to go and it is delicious. It has a little kick of spiciness, which I like. Most definitely will try other rolls here.

The service and atmosphere was excellent! The food, especially the sushi, was very good, and they have so many options to choose from! They also have a great combo deal where you can choose from a list of appetizers, entrees, and sushi rolls, you can get 2 or 3 options for $16-19. The portions are very large! Our food came out very quickly, too.

Great at communicating with customers and seeing if everything is good. Highly recommend for people looking for great food & great prices. If you’re lucky enough to get Emma as a waiter she will make sure your experience is top notch. A must go to place hands down.

Excellent sushi! No wonder this place was busy! We had the Tres Amigos roll and the Carlsbad Lagoon roll. The Carlsbad Lagoon was the better of the two. But WOW!!....they had a Salmon special that was out of this world!!

The salmon special was one of the best things I’ve tasted in YEARS! Outstanding smoky flavor that lasted for minutes. It’s a nigiri-like appetizer...two big pieces for $6. But WOW!! So worth the flavor!!
