Felix's BBQ with Soul

LOVE this place. The food is home cooking good. It's like grandma, mom and the aunties in the back cooking that good. It hits your soul and comfort you all over. Highly recommended. Favorite is the Alabama chicken, Ox tail and the catfish. You can't go wrong on any of their BBQ's. Side dishes favorite candied yams, fried okra, rice and beans. Don't skip the freshly made pie and the sweet tea. Camille is welcoming, very friendly and attentive. We keep coming back for more. I would come back for their warm freshly made corn bread. Yummy.

The food and service here were fantastic! Definitely Louisiana style spicing, which we loved. Fried catfish was great. Red beans and rice were very authentic and the fried okra was amazing. Closest to my mother's that I've ever found - lightly breaded and lightly fried, just perfect. Triliad was our server and she was perfect! We'll be back, I need to try the brisket and fried green tomatoes!

Holy smokes this place has some fantastic BBQ! Stopped by for lunch and got the pulled pork sandwich with a side of tater salad and added a side of Mac n cheese. Pork was super tender and tasty, tater salad was classic and delicious, Mac n cheese was perfect. I don't know why I haven't stopped by before, but that was my mistake. I will definitely be back to try more from the menu and I suggest you do the same!

I am lost for words, the food always amazing the customer service is WOW!!! down side I don't know who to give credit to, since both times I been there they don't have name tags or they don't introduce themselves. If you wanna feel welcome then this is the place for you.

Delicious fried Catfish. That's the #1 reason I eat here there Fried Catfish is outta this world delicious. There hushpuppies and corn bread muffins are just as amazing and for dessert they have amazing giant cookies. They also play great music 🎶.

Down home cooking and service! As soon as you enter Felix's you are greeted with a Hello and Menu's if you are eating in. I had a Sweet tea and cornbread on the table in about 5 minutes after I was seated. The two lady's served us and made sure we had enough to eat and drink. We had Pulled pork , Chicken and Beef sandwiches that looked like dinner portions. Very generous on the food and it came out nice and hot. Well Done!

Was craving Southern food to end the year... Delicious! Excellent fried catfish, fried chicken and the best collard greens I have ever had. (And I'm from the South.) They have fried okra AND fried green tomatoes. Yum! Friendly service as well. Overall outstanding experience. We will be back to try out more of the menu! Also have a place in Oceanside.

A friend recommended this place for the best barbecue and he was right! The food was delicious. We waited a little bit longer for the fried chicken but it was well worth the wait. Service was good and friendly making sure we had refills on our drinks.

I’m still sitting here eating the food. I just had to say something. Food is AWESOME! Music is fantastic, interior is great. I can’t say enough about how great this place is! Best soul food I’ve had since my time in Baton Rouge. Rib tips are fantastic. Everything on this menu is great.

I really love Felix's. I was sad when they shut down the Euclid location because i don't travel up north too often.

The corn bread was wonderful! My daughter just ate that and the greens. We were there for quite a while and the people weren't bothered by it. Everyone's food came piping hot and in a timely fashion. Their bathroom was clean as well.

Great little spot for good BBQ. Had the Blackened Catfish and my partner had the red snapper. Just excellent food. Small dine in area but a lot of people were ordering to-go.

Wow! Went today and the food was out of this world. The cornbread muffins that they start you with are fluffy and moist. I recommend getting the sampler between three people and you have to try the fried catfish. It’s so soft and melts on your tongue like butter and the seasoning on it compliments it perfectly, plus dipping it in their tartar sauce is so freaking good. I also really recommend the red beans and rice as a side. My girlfriend’s favorite was the collard greens which were also delicious. We also got the brisket, pulled chicken, fried chicken, Mac and cheese, and coleslaw which were all tasty as well. Can’t wait to come back and try the other things on the menu.

I love Felix's BBQ in Oceanside and was happy they have one in San Marcos too. My go-to is their fried chicken. I got the lunch combo this time. The serving is huge - there's 3 pieces of delicious fried chicken, 2 freshly baked corn muffins and I always ask for sweet potato fries.

Shared it with co-workers and they loved it. I guess we will be calling them for lunch orders in the coming days.

So amazing. All the food is hot and fresh to your table. If you want a good BBQ this is the place to go. Red Beans & Rice and Hush Puppies are so good.

Food looks so awesome on the platter. This place is just as good as my first visit a months ago. Had tri-tip steak and catfish with potato salad and baked bean. The meal came with hot cornbread and butter. So delicious! Great service.

OMG! This place is definitely worth trying! I got the bbq pulled pork sandwich, and it was absolutely delicious. I will be back here MANY MANY times in the near future.

Good food and nice people! I found Felix's in Oceanside by chance last year or so, and now there's one nearby in SM. Same good food! The sauce they use is sweet, so that may not be your thing, but the meat is tender and yummy... The sides are great... I shared the sampler meal with a friend and it was more than we could eat. For $35 it's a great deal, and you could easily feed a family of four (unless you have teenagers, haha)... Gotta try the shrimp poboy next! Felix's has my southerner's seal of approval! 😊

Bbq with soul...shrimp and grits,corn bread, pulled pork, ribs and the ribeye steak. Menu full of great choices. Friendly staff. Great vibe. A must try.
