Hillside Center

Beautiful place, very quiet and not very crowded.

Nice little park with simple hiking trails around it. Small trickling river and a bridge on the trail not far from the park. The park is next to the Hillside rec center as well. Great place for a kids get-together. Has tables for a picnic as well. I highly recommend this place

Great facility and staff. Our non-profit group has been meeting there for years and the rooms are spacious and clean and the staff are very accommodating. Highly recommend this center.

We are so happy the City of El Cajon expanded the use of this beautiful outdoor space to include a play structure and picnic tables. There are no other spaces like this in our corner of the City n Fletcher Hills. This expansion was needed and long overdue. If you need to keep a close eye on the little ones, take a chair because the picnic tables are just a few extra steps away from the playground.

Hillside is a great park that is tucked away. The only thing that would make it better is a playground but the field is a good size and well taken care of. The staff at the rec center is very nice and great with my kids. I really appreciate their activities for the youth.

Lovely little gem I never knew existed in El Cajon until last year. Great for exercise or checking out trails or having lunch at the benches. Some homeless around, but everyone is very friendly. I feel safe walking through, even in the evening.

It was pretty clean. The staff was cool. We weren't there too long, but it seems like a pretty normal rec center.

I've been utilizing this conveniently located local park for as long as I can remember. There are lots of walking paths, one can start up at the top of the hill, at the corner of Westwind and Fletcher Parkway, and walk all the way downhill to the Rec center, under the shade of mature eucalyptus.
It is a popular destination for popping in to stop and eat your lunch, or to walk your dog, or bring kids to play on the grass.
I often find interesting photo opportunities, especially when recent rainfall encourages new plant growth or floral blooms.

We had the whole park to ourselves for my grandson's 4th birthday. Only thing is need have dogs on a leash. Down side of this was just over a cop harrasing us over the dogs running loose. All in all my family and I had a wonderful time together.

Love to take my girl Amanda here. We recently grabbed some Thai take-out, brought a blanket and we had a picnic here. Nice family setting.

Nice facility and the staff is wonderful. The surrounding park is also very nice. It is surprisingly quiet considering how close to Fletcher parkway it is.

The rec center here is friendly and helpful. They are attentive to the kids and our son looks forward to going here

Great place to take your kids.

Good place to play catch, hit some balls, kick the soccer ball around. There's also a new kids play ground being built.

Small, quiet park. There's some tweekers up in the hills but other then all that trash up there is ok.

Beautiful grass area. Lots of room for the kids to run and play. Very quite and peaceful as well.

This by far is one of the coolest gyms I’ve been to they are very respectful here and I love it

Great park the name alone just screams paradise in the city

Nice view early in the morning, great for getting your daily walk at.

Well kept park, a couple trails in the back. Plenty of shade, close to Parkway mall.
