The whole process from the beginning to the very end as a LVN student had its pros and cons. For example, the only bad part about Modesto Gurnick was 1 instructor quitting in the middle of the term. Which made my own experience a challenge at that specific time. The great part about this school was learning the material and meeting classmates who had each other's back. Moreover, I strongly stand beside Angel Yang. She is the Student Service Coordinator who communicated on time and fast. As a student like me I asked a million questions and she never made me feel like none of my questions were not valid. She always had a positive outlook in my nursing journey as a student. I graduated and passed the NCLEX so it was worth going there. Nonetheless I put hard work into my studies in order to get my LVN license. Lastly, I was in the P.M class that always had a security guard at the front entrance of the building so safety was a 10/10.

I went to this school started out with the Vocational nursing program. They helped me alot when I needed to take a leave because I was pregnant being very understandingand supportive. Once I returned I was supported by great nursing instructors and a wonderful dean. They taught me so much that I felt confident that I will make it in the field. This was 3 years ago and still to this day I find myself looking to my old instructors to guide me. This school was a great experience for me and my fellow classmates. I was able to pass my NCLEX with 75 questions on my first try because of this school.i have returned once again to this school to further my education in the nursing field because of how great. I highly recommend this school.

I went to Gurnick for the LVN program. If you put in the work and are active at your clinical sites, it’s a good place to go. A lot of teachers make themselves available either before or after class to help if you need it. Passed the exit exam and the NCLEX on the first try.

I work at Gurnick and I love it! Yes, there are areas needing improvement but like anything in life, nothing is perfect. We strive to offer good service to the students and we will help wherever we can!

The dental assisting program was amazing. Mr. Martinez and Mrs. Bega were the most patient teachers I’ve ever had anywhere. They taught me so much and I’m so grateful for the time and skills they’ve given me

I was an applicant from Fresno CA for the MRI program. The staff was completely rude, disrespectful, and incompetent. I took over three days off of work to travel to the campus. On the first meeting, the staff was late coming back from lunch by an hour and a half. The second and third time, the interviewer failed to show up at all for the meeting. The receptionist suggested that I just come back the following Monday and hopefully she would show up. (As if I could just take off another full work day on a whim and travel for four hours for a fifteen minute meeting where the interviewer MIGHT show up as agreed.) I told the receptionist that this treatment was unacceptable and that their incompetence had cost me over $600 in lost wages and gas. I suggested that the interviewer contact me via phone or skype and it was agreed upon. Though it was agreed upon, it was not honored, and my phone call merely consisted of being told that I would need to come in for an interview pending my fafsa results, which had been received, but that the financial aid adviser would be on vacation until an unknown date. Annoyed, I wrote a letter to the director of staff at Gurnick's main campus. She apologized and promised to contact me to straighten things out, but then failed to call me or return my calls for over six months.

If you are a respectable student who values a true education from competent individuals, please do yourself a favor and pass on this institution. Frankly, I do not understand how they even keep their doors open.

If you are an employer, you might as well toss any GAMA educated applicant in the trash. The institution is a joke.

So much lack of communication to apply there. I get it we have to do that live zoom meeting but last I went to apply in sac that didn’t work out because the lady had attitude and didn’t want to be there. She made us feel we were going to be like the hunger games to get into the program we want. They lack on the application on the program I wanted. I don’t get it why can we do one to one zoom personally.
