Solana Beach

I was here one week ago today, and took these pictures. There was a one hour wait before the train, so I walked around the beautiful grounds, enjoying the layout of the building and property. They really take excellent care of everything and keep the place spotless. The front area is like a pretty park with flowers and nice walkways. The staff are super cool and friendly. The price from Solana Beach to downtown Los Angeles Union Station was under $40, and took a couple hours. I hope to come through this station again this year. A+++ all the way. Thank you! North bound trains are on track 2. South bound trains are on track 1. There is a bathroom located inside the station. The bathroom is suicide resistant, metal everything except the toilet seat. It’s handicap friendly. Elevators going down to the tracks take forever to open and close.

Solana Beach Station is very convenient to almost everything in the area by foot. The beach is one block away and a number of hotels are within a 15 minute or so walk. Eateries spaced all over the place. This station has ticketing machines and a station attendant. It's a great place to make your connection to North or southbound cities. The station has elevators on both platforms along with stairs and ramps.

Early morning trains to LA and even Anaheim (Disneyland). It sure beats driving there for work or fun. Train has always been on time for me, but sometimes there can be delays. Enjoy the ride

My first train trip is from Irvine to Solana Beach, it cannot be denied that I was into Solana since the first look at its station. This station was between a small valley which has a wonderful view when the sunlight is from a slant angle and there are also many restaurants or shops near here.

Clean small station with on-site parking, vending machine, and ATM. The station opens at 6am but outside tickets machines next to the station building and also quick track self-serving kiosk to print Amtrak tickets located behind the station building. Signs and schedule posted and automated announcement made frequently about train schedule. Elevator, stairs and ramp available.

Nice suburban station, relatively secure. I've left my car here for trips and never had problems. Restrooms inside the Amtrak station are convenient.

I ride Amtrak from Solana Beach regularly. I always buy my tickets online. The station is clean, quiet and has always been fine in my experience.

The kind gentleman running the ticket booth on the evening of July 4th, provided above and beyond service and has so each time my girlfriend and I have bought tickets. I appreciated his attention to detail and passion to provide great service. Thank you.

SO impressed how pleasant my trip was. They must have re-done the WIFI recently as I took the train from Solana Beach all the way up to Santa Barbara and never had an issue! Why sit in traffic on the freeway when you could take this train ride? Absolutely recommend!

Solana Beach Station is small train station with 2 tracks. Easy to get there by car. I used this station to get to Amtrak on the way to San Diego Santa Fe. The ride was around 40 min long from this station. They have a machines to buy a tickets and also a kind cashiers inside as well.

The track is beneath ground and relatively easy to access, plenty of parking. However, the station is empty and primarily is just a stop so don't expect a lot of amenities.

Great place to grab the train to go up North and plenty of parking. Also walk a block up towards the beach for many great lunch and dinner spots while waiting.

Lots of parking lots of shopping clean down town section loved it there

I took the train from Solana Beach to Anaheim. A beautiful ride along the coast.

Station is nice and kept well! Late trains are not the stations fault - give Amtrak the 1 *. lol
