Nice movie theater clean and spacious, reclining seats big screens nice audio system. We were in auditorium one which also had laser and high frame rate 3-D for avatar.
You can pick up your food upfront or have it delivered to your seat if you would prefer. Good selection of beers and wine.
Clean restrooms.
Parking is plentiful at the lower level and easy to get in and out.

The seating and sound system is great. Seats recline and have heating too. Not a big fan of their caramel popcorn, it was salty for some reason. Apart from that, really good. They also have discounted tickets on Tuesday

I'm about to go for a Tuesday matinee and realized I've never left a review for this place. By the looks of it, they constantly seem on the brink of going out of business, and I'd be very sad if they left 😔. The facilities are clean and spacious, the seats very comfortable (reclining with heat warming options); the self-service kiosk, once you know how the order flow works, is easy and intuitive. The concessions are theatre-priced, but unlike big box places like AMC or Regal, Icon has an actual menu with interesting options (even salads, if you want to stay healthy). I've never encountered a staff member who wasn't kind and trying to be helpful to visitors. Please consider patronizing this movie theatre!🩷 It's much more preferrable to have something like Icon around here than some other larger chain.

The theater is massive. Overall it's very nice and it feels luxurious. They have a bar, restaurant and premium food and beverage. You can also order inside the theater while watching a movie.

Comfortable ajustable seats. Suggest not sitting in front rows if you have bifocals. You don't need hearing aids.

We came on a friday evening to watch a new movie. This was our first time at the place.

Overall, we really liked this cinema. it is located in a new modern building in a nice neighbourhood, it was easy to find it. We came by bikes - could park them right in front the entrance. The entrance is spacious, escalators are available. On the second floor is a canteen where you can order food and drinks including alcohol. Notably not only snacks are available, but proper meals like burgers with fries and salads. Also, you could eat while watching the movie - all the chairs had small tables next to them.

Our movie was played in the salon on the third floor, to get there one could take elevator or the stairs. The salon was very spacious, not crowded. The chairs were just amazing, soft and comfy, you could expand them and half-lay, like in the businessclass on an plane. The picture and sound were very good.

Overall we had a great evening and definitely will come back again.

I'm not sure why ICON is getting into the cinema screening business with all the downsides, but man o man they have created a fantastic experience. Fabolous reclining seats, large screens, fantastic space with bar and restaurant, and more. The sound in the theater will envelope you from every direction!

I recommend becoming a member of the free icon extras program, free upgrades and cheaper tickets that you can book on the app without any fees.

Leave it to Mountain View to make you feel classy just for going to the theater. I like ICON a lot cause it’s really accessible on El Camino, lots of parking available, and clearly they’ve taken a lot of time and money to jazz it up on the inside - it feels pretty much brand new and I’ve never been there when it’s been crowded.

They have a really quick automated check-in process with very eager attendants to help you out if you get confused. Everyone there is very hospitable. The upstairs is where it REALLY gets classy - felt like I needed a tie. Really good food, private 21+ bar area, lots of drinks, tables for hanging out, and priority theatre seating on the second level.

The theaters themselves are all pre-reserved, recliners, VERY spacious, and with 3 tiered seat warmers. A luxury experience. I will say that most of the theaters here have limited seating given the size of the chairs, but honestly it makes for a more intimate movie watching experience and who doesn’t want that.

Cool theater which is currently offering Free Movie Mondays! Great high-tech feel. A real bar for those who like liquor with their movie. Even high-tech sinks in the restrooms. Free movie Mondays promotion ended. But still a great theater with very fair matinee prices a discount Tuesdays.

Friendly staff, chill atmosphere, very well maintained open areas. The VIP theatres offer plush, heated recliners, built in trays, a huge variety of food and beverages, and items can be ordered and delivered to your seat via the ICON app. Bar with lounge area and full service restaurant. Will be hard to go anywhere else after.

Such a great theater. Tuesday's are the best day to go! Food and drink menu are spot on and even the decor is top notch. They even had an app with rewards. Probably my favorite theater chain!

Ok. This theatre is crazy. Who in their right mind ever thought to put seat heaters on theatre seats??

Update after pandemic: Still a great place. New location with comfy movie seating. Food was surprisingly good. Nice bartenders and great drinks. Movie sound is awesome. Lots of parking.

Another option for going to the movies aside from Century Theatres on Shoreline. It is located in the San Antonio Shopping Center on California. The theater is new, so facilities are very clean. Would highly recommend.

They utilize using tablets when buying tickets, getting your tickets you've bought online and when buying food. They offer free refills on popcorn. They have two lines - VIP and Premium. The VIP area is the one where you can have alcohol and I believe they bring your food over to you and is on the second floor once you've entered the theatre and have gone up the initial escalators. We were in the Premium area when we went to go for a special early screening of the Lego 2 movie. The seats are wide and you can recline the chairs. They also come with a seat heater.

At the ShowPlace ICON Theatre & Kitchen in Mountain View, the first thing that stood out was the spacious and comfortable chairs. Unlike many other theaters, where seating can feel cramped and uncomfortable, ShowPlace ICON's plush chairs allowed me to sink in and relax throughout the entire movie. The generous amount of legroom and personal space added to the overall sense of comfort.

The theater's in-theater dining option at the Kitchen was a real treat. The convenience of ordering from my seat and having the food delivered was a luxurious touch that added to the overall enjoyment of the evening.

This is a great movie theater. The parking is free and the theater is just around the corner outside the parking structure. Super clean and the staff are very helpful. While we waited for the hotdogs, the cashier said that we only need to let them know where we sit and they’ll deliver the food😃😃😃 the restroom is super clean too!

Best theater experience ever! Staff were super helpful. Everything was shiny, clean and new. Heated, recliner seats were too comfortable.

It was such a great experience! As folks have mentioned, the reclining chairs were spacious and fabulous. Be sure to get a VIP ticket (actually almost the same price as the non-VIP ones) - the view on the balcony was truly better, and the table was handy as well. Will be back!
