This is a wonderful little hike where you can see an awesome waterfall & cascades. Late winter is probably the best time to go if you want to see maximum water flow. Trail was a bit muddy in places with a down tree in on e spot. Otherwise, easy peasy.

Iykyk. This is an insane double waterfall into a pool of rock with a walkway built at the edge of the falls. Beautiful views!

This is a beautiful, serene, waterfall hiking trail! It is a moderate hike on Hamilton Mountain, which is located across from Beacon Rock.

There are trails that vere off in several directions; Hamilton Mountain Summit is one example, so lots to explore. Trails on this mountain range from a couple of hours to all day.

With fall coming up, you can already start to see yellow colored leaves among the greenery, falling off the trees. It is quite a sight, and I can't wait to come back in a couple of weeks to see what it looks like then.

I highly recommend this trail! We are in fire season, so using common sense and following the rules goes a long way. Please allow others to be able to have the same wonderful experience here as you. ❤

Fun hike, pretty easy for those who hike a lot. We made it to the top in about 2 hours and took our time taking pics along the way. We saw some deer halfway up and a Barred Owl who left the area when heard city folk being city folk - noisy. Elevation is pretty tame compared to the other side of the Columbia where you climb x2 the elevation in the same or shorter distance.
Super views, nice by the falls and the best time to go would probably be sometime in early Spring on a weekday.

This place is beautiful! The campground was quiet even though there were a lot of campers, so definitely a spot to go for a few nights! One of the trails comes right out into the campground, that is how we found it! 🤣 Washington sure is a sight to see, and this place doesn’t disappoint! Me and my family will be back for sure! We attended early, as usual! But it wasn’t early enough! However the people were great, and of course hubby ran into some sweet older hiking ladies who gave a lot of helpful information about the hike! It is a long one, if you do the entire hike! But it’s well worth it! You can turn around after the Falls, or continue on! We had to turn around unfortunately, but keeps this on our return list only because of that! Such a great trail, obviously be careful but dogs and kiddos could do this, and should! It’s amazing! Pictures never do Oregon or Washington justice! But I’d recommend this to anyone! 🥰 Don’t forget the day pass here is 10 bucks or 11:50 online. There is a nice restroom area, a park area for kiddos to play and then a sweet eating or gathering area right off the parking lot! Worth a day trip with family!

It's a beautiful waterfall on the way to Hamilton mountain trail , discovery pass is required at trail head. It's better to have an annual pass that costs 30$ , daily pass costs 10$ we reached parking lot at 7am. It's better to reach early to secure a parking spot.

Great hike about 6 miles round trip to the top with some decent elevation change. Path was really clean and well kept. We came on Black Friday as most parks are free admissions.

A pretty easy, short hike that ends with an unbeatable view! The Columbia River Gorge has endless beauty, and this waterfall is among the top of what the gorge has to offer. I recommend this to anyone and everyone!

This was an awesome hike. Particularly with kids. Other than losing my sunglasses in one if the pools it was totally worth the 3 mile round trip. We also hooked over to Little Beacon Rock for a sweet view, but maybe not as nice with kids. #norailings

Beautiful hike on a very rainy day, the water was very close to the bridge.

The Pool of the Winds is one of the best parts of the entire Hamilton Mountain hike. It’s pretty easy to get to from the trailhead, and you’ll get really nice views of the gorge even before you make it to the pool, so if the whole Hamilton Mtn. hike is too much for you, you can still stop off here. A lovely and beautiful spot of nature.

Well maintained trail. Not for beginner hikers or people who arent physically able to walk up at a constant incline for 4 miles. The top of Hamilton is about 7.5 miles, constant incline, 2100ft up, with some obstacles to climb over.

Before I start- DON'T let your map take you up Guptil road!!! Guptil road is a state park road for a few minutes, then switches to a private road, it wont get you anywhere. Park at the Hamilton mountain trailhead or the beacon rock state park trailhead. We had to park at Beacon rock because the Hamilton parking lot was full. Downside to this is you have to walk across very busy Evergreen highway and then walk a half mile up a road to get to the Hamilton mountain trailhead. Both parking areas require the Discovery pass, $30/year or $10/day. The hike was beautiful, pretty strenuous in the beginning, mostly uphill. Make sure you go all the way to the pool of the winds! There is a little viewing area with a railing so you can lean over and look in, so beautiful!!

Nice little overlook where you get up close with the waterfall and can also see the view below. Good time to take a break and enjoy the falls while going up the Hamilton Mountain summit trail.

Mt Hamilton is a staple hike on the Washington side of the gorge. Half way up trek you go by pool of the winds which is a nice waterfall and a decent spot to take a break before going up to the viewpoint.
