Delicious cakes and cupcakes at this cute place in downtown San Carlos. Ordered two birthday cakes for a milestone birthday celebration, and everything turned out perfectly. Thank you for the friendly and efficient service! Finding parking in downtown San Carlos can be difficult, though.

Cute shop with cakes and cupcakes, cookies too. I was a little worried it would be overly sweet, I am glad I was wrong. The texture was great, moist too. If you wanted to "reduce" the sweetness, skip the frosting. We picked up a total of 3 slices to try: coconut, carrot cake and the celebration one with confetti. The group really liked the coconut, it had a nice texture. The celebration was fun with the many colors and also a good bite. My favorite is usually always the carrot. The service was nice. Each cake came in a box in case you were going to share it. It went well with a coffee down the street. Next time I might try the 6-layer chocolate which the salesperson said was one of the popular cakes.

They have a great selection of cupcakes and cakes. I tried the old fashioned chocolate layer cake and it was amazing! It's the kind of cake that brings some kind of nostalgia! :)
Staff is super friendly and patient and eager to help you make your selections . Will be back to try out the other flavors.

Oh Susie Cakes! My pick-me-up whenever I am having a bad day. So good and you can tell they use high quality real ingredients. My favorites are the red velvet, lemon, coconut, and lemon cheesecake. I bought a cake for a friend's birthday party and she said it was the best cake she has ever had in her life! Only wish they still had the pup treats outside or for sale, my dog absolutely loved them and he still looks at me with sad eyes whenever we walk past Susie Cakes.

Susie Cakes does an awesome job when it comes to cakes, cupcakes and more. You can walk in or order yours online. I personally enjoy there red velvet cupcakes, I think it's the cream cheese frosting that does it for me. Stop by and try something new.

Somebody (I forgot their name) helped me send a surprise cake to a friend who was staying at the nearby hotels. She was very helpful for my request and her service was above and beyond.

The cake and cupcakes were delicious, my friend loved it.

SusieCakes has been one of my favorite bakeries to stop by for a quick treat for a long time so I was really excited to have them make my wedding cake and mini cupcakes this past August. The tasting was really fun (they even accommodated having both sets of parents come which was so sweet and fun for our families) and the cake and cupcakes turned out amazing! They were very easy to work with and the delivery was right on time. My mom also had them make some custom cookies for my bridal shower and those were adorable and delicious!! I would highly recommend them for wedding or special event desserts — it was a fabulous experience.

I love susiecakes. You can't go wrong with any cakes however their cherry pie was not good at all. If this is your first time here get their red velvet cake and try their tropical cake for your second visit. Here is my rankings of their cake/cupcake selection:
1. Red Velvet Cake
2. Tropical Cake
3. Birthday Cake
4. Chocolate Cake - it's very rich so make sure you leave room for dessertt after your meal!
5. Carrot Cake cupcake.

The red velvet cupcakes are outstanding: moist, fluffy, with cream cheese frosting that is not overly sweet. The strawberry one was also good (yellow cake base with strawberry frosting). I also tried their special edition pineapple upside-down cupcakes, but those were just so-so. The idea was good, but something needs to be tweaked in the execution because the pineapple chunks seemed soggy inside the cupcakes. I think pineapple chunks should be crisp and sweet in such cakes.

Update 6/26/2016: The seasonal strawberry lemonade cupcake is good, but I probably won't order it again. However, the seasonal strawberry shortcake is AMAZING.

Cute shop in the SFO bay area neighborhood. And the decadent layered chocolate cake gathered me all the way together for life. And I wore that shopping bag like I just came from Lord & Taylor.

I live in Florida and I ordered some cupcakes to be delivered to someone special who's near Susie's Cakes in California. Audrey was super sweet and helpful from beginning to end. I highly recommend!

We got the summer berry cake. I thought it was the most delicious cake I have ever had. So moist , fresh and light and not too sweet. Just delicious!!

I know the old fashioned and celebration cakes are supposed to be awesome but i just can’t skip on getting the carrot cake. I just can’t imagine anything better. It’s crazy good!

2 days before my daughters birthday the cake cancelled. Everyone i called wouldn't do it in such a short time. I called SuzieCakes and they made it happen. Not only was the cake perfect but they called aftwards to check to see if i was happy with my cake. The cake was beautiful and delicious and the customer service is amazing. Now we take weekly trips and will use suziecakes for all our celebrations.

SusieCakes generously donated 80 chocolate chip cookies to the Week of the Family author event at the Reading Bug in San Carlos last Thursday night. Those delicious cookies were snatched up mighty quickly with lots of comments about how good they were. Thank you for the delicious treats and your generosity!!

Friendly staff and delicious fresh cupcakes. Yummm! We got a vanilla-pink, vanilla-lemon, double chocolate, and red velvet. All were great, and the red velvet was the winner. Wow yum.

I bought a Lemon tart and a chocolate cream pie. Didn't get to eat the tart until about 6 hours after and it..was...AMAZING. The pie I ate the next day and same. Great customer service and a nice selection.
