This is an unique blast to the past and there is a little tunnel at the entrance where there are pictures of the quarry stones being slashed into slabs. There are also some relics scattered throughout the park/trails. The park section is in front with a pond and playground. However, currently the pond is stuffed with dried up plants and unrecognizable. I assume the playground is under construction by the looks of the hills of tan bark, but I could still spot some pull up bars.

You have the view of the skyline along the major trail and you can see downtown in the clouds. I actually hiked this in the rain today but it wasn't too muddy because a lot of the trail is made of smashed up stones so don't wear shoes with thin soles. Parking is free.

The beginning of the quarry park trail is pretty steep, but the county park trail is a mild slope and woody. The main path has lots of shady parts with lovely benches, which were done by the boy scout project. This trail continues to the skyline and to the beach. The quarry park area also has a beautiful picnic table. Some of the picnic tables are in a closed area which is excellent for family gatherings. I saw a couple who enjoyed a cheese plate at the quarry park picnic table. There is a pond in the sign, but it is a dry pond. It might be a pond in the Winter season. If you are a dog lover, this is a good place to walk with your dog.

Gorgeous view! Pretty easy hike, not very steep What I love most about it is that it's mostly in the shade. The longest hike I've done so far may be around an 8 mile round trip, however, if you want to keep going, you can. We just ran out of time. I highly recommend it. We've been on many hiking trails in the Santa Cruz Mountains, and this is one of my favorite trails. I highly recommend it.

Great shaded trail. Dog friendly. Weekends can get busy, especially with Scouts and volunteers present, making parking difficult. There are some parking spots on 9, just outside the entryway. You can hear highway traffic in the picnic area, but once you are further in on the Skyline trail, it’s peaceful.

My first time hiking in this park.( January/13/2021. I loved it).
No parking fee, the parking a little small, but it has street parking.
The size of the park is small.
One day hike can cover most of the park.
There are many isolated picnics areas.
A lot of hiking trails, most of the trails are shady, some of them have great elevation.
The Saratoga to the Skyline trail is 7 miles out&back from the parking lot, 1,660 feet of elevation gain.
It leads to Sanborn county park, and it’s also the main trail.
Beautiful lookout at the top of the hill, especially when the sun is going down, gorgeous views of valley and Saratoga vineyards.
It had a pond but no water.
It’s an open of natural field, forest, beautiful bridges, green ferns, it’s very peaceful and relaxing.
Good for get away from busy days!

The hiking trails are steep and the views are unparalleled. There are many isolated picnic tables scattered about. A lot more than parking spaces so if you've parked you can find one. Nice clean bathrooms. Some of the trails with steep sides have tall berms so there are safe for children but you can't look away too long. The size of the park is small but you can find 400 ft vertical elevation on well groomed trails. I walked. or climbed about 1 mile.

This park is such a little hidden gem. It’s a short hike to the top, a bit steep but I’m good with that. For some reason not many people seem to come here. There’s lots of historic elements, seating, clean bathrooms. Only about 6 parking spaces but you can park along the fence line. Beautiful arboretum with lots of native and other trees. Vineyards across the hills to look at. I’m a professional artist, so I come here a lot to paint :)

The trail begins at the base of Quarry Park, goes 9.7 miles that leads you to Sanborn County Park. Great place for picnics, with clean restrooms and lights.

Edit: some picnic tables have outlets / power !

Saratoga Quarry Park is a great small park to go hiking and see a historic mining site and quarry. There are multiple picnic spots and the higher you climb on the trail the better the views of Silicon Valley become.

Can be busy with people picnicking at the weekend - the the parking lot overflowing onto the road. Much quieter in the evenings - in fact you can pretty much have the place to yourself. The main path is pretty steep, especially up to The Valley overlook. A nice short walk to work up a sweat though!

This park was great for a walk with the dogs! There are very steep parts of the hike so make sure to wear appropriate shoes. The views are gorgeous!

With the opening of Saratoga-to-the-skyline trail, this park instantly became the crown jewel in the area. This is the beginning of a 37-mile trail to the pacific. How cool is that! Nobody can complain about the short trail available anymore.

4/15/2023. No paper park map. Some trails lead no where, so can be confusing. Trail exits to Sanborn road. Meditation labyrinth.

Favorite hiking trail in all of Saratoga and highway 9, easily accessible from downtown and not too far of a drive. Super steep so a quick and challenging workout won’t take your entire day. Great for a morning routine hike to get the day started.

Dog-friendly Saratoga secret! I'm so glad I found this park and that the parks team here take such good care of it. There are lots of parking spots at the gated entrance, dog poop bags provided, trash cans at the start/and picnic table areas of the park, and public restrooms at the entrance only. Fantastic gem of a hiking spot. Only saw a few folks here during this hike. The quarry loop is easy. The congress springs access trail is immediately after the loop and is also beautiful, shaded and easy. The hike to Skyline is a bit farther but the views and workout is totally worth it.

Saratoga Quarry Park is a great area for hiking and exposure to the Saratoga outdoors. I decided to visit the area since I had time before attending a Saratoga Mountain Winery concert.
