This isn’t bad for the price. The friendly and efficient staff make up for the old facility. The rooms could use updating, but my room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I was able to get a good night’s sleep. The greatest treat was the desk clerk, Eric. He was attentive and did a great job handling my reservation and check-in. Thanks, Eric!

It looked as though the room and been recently updated. It was clean and comfortable and had everything we expected in the room (when other hotels we recently stayed at didn't): decent size fridge, microwave, shower / tub combo. It even had a balcony, and the room had a vaulted ceiling. Lots of USB ports in the room for device charging. The man that checked us in was friendly, kind and efficient.

This little hotel is super clean and convenient just around the corner from the beach. A big plus for being pet friendly and amazingly been so clean even with dogs around the property. The staff is super nice and very helpful.
This Location is also super convenient if you are looking to visit Monterey and want to avoid the expensive hotels of the turist area. It is 15 minutes away from the Monterey Bay aquarium.
The price wasn't too bad for what we experienced.

Nice little hotel! Was very impressed with the lastest remodeling and the rooms are nice. Has a pool but a little chilly. Carport parking was a plus. Staff is good as well. If you need anything, your literally surrounded by stores and restaurants within a half mile. Definitely recommend if anyone is staying in the Monterey bay area with reasonable rates :)

The friendliest and kindest staff at our whole time in the states. The rooms are clean and big, the beds are very comfortable. I would definitely recommend it all the time. Seems like they done a kind of renovation because inside it looks way better as from the outside. The price value was pretty good too.

The best hospitality and cleanest motel. I’ve ever stayed in! They even let me check in a bit early. I’ve had no problems or no hassle there !! I recommend this place ! The rooms are spacious and have balconies!!The guy’s at the front desk go out of their way for you !! This is my favorite motel to travel to in the Monterey Bay Area! Close to food, beach Aquarium , downtown Monterey and Cannery Row . All in walking distance and a hop skip and a jump on a bike 🚴

Even though this was an inexpensive motel and I expected to see some rust and chipped paint, I was happy to open my door to a clean smelling room that looked clean as well. The mattress was comfortable. The room had a microwave and fridge/freezer. The flat screen TV had a great picture with lots of channels and the free wifi was fast. They supplied me with soap, shampoos, lotions and body washes. The coffee was very good and available throughout the day. My nights there were quiet. And to top it off, the staff was always friendly.

My wife and I stayed here in 2019 for the Monterey Bay car week. We arrived quite late at night but were politely greeted by a nice gentleman as if it was 10am. The room was clean and comfortable and our stay was pleasant from start to finish.

This motel is 20 minutes away from the Monterey Bay Aquarium, which is why we chose it as the ones closer were very pricey for a quick family getaway. The beds were comfortable and the hotel was overall clean, the television had cable and the internet was fast. Other reviewers said their rooms were dirty, but mine was clean with no bugs. The only flaw, was the pool was ice cold. It is also very deep, which I would take caution if you have young children. This lodge is just to sleep in, like any other motel around. The location is okay, there wasn’t much commotion or noise. It was overall peaceful. I would stay again if I was in the area.

The rooms were very clean and recently updated. The manager was one of the most friendly and professional people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. The entire staff was very accommodating and made my crew and I feel like family for the long period of time we stayed with them. Thank you all so much!

We went there on the Labor Day weekend. It was busy that weekend. To be honest, I didn’t expect too much at first. The building looked a bit old. However, the room was pretty clean and new. It seems they just renovated. I would say it’s worth the price.

I recently had the opportunity to visit Seaside and found this quaint little hotel the Magic Carpet Lodge. I was delighted when they put me in a room that a a sliding door that went straight out to their outdoor swimming pool. The room was very nice, clean, and comfortable. The pool is surrounded by pleasant shrubs and the landscaping around the hotel is nice as well. The lady at the front desk was kind enough to bring me a fan, since there was no air conditioning in the room I was staying in. The room I was in looked remodeled, so I imagine they have done some upgrading. They are no longer the Best Western, but the Magic Carpet Lodge. I had a great time, and the staff was very friendly. The wifi on a really windy day seemed to fade in and out, but the gentlemen who works there was very quick to get it fixed and back up and running. I would recommend anyone who would like a nice clean, affordable hotel to check this one out.

Lovely little hotel with an outdoor pool. The parking is free but the lot is a little tight if you happen to have an oversized vehicle. Keep in mind the pool is not heated and the weather here is often cooler than you might expect. I went to the beach near here in shorts and a tank top in mid June and froze my butt off because the warmest it got in our three days was 65°.

Staff was very kind and accommodating. Parking was great, our room was very clean and comfortable, with nice updates. We would definitely stay here again!

Easily the best hotel in the area for the price. Room was clean, beds were comfortable, and the bath tub and balcony were just a plus. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent inexpensive hotel, close to some interesting food dining, pho, mex, korean, etc. Has a cute pool, generous rooms and good beds. If you make coffee or dont, bring bottled water. Seaside is an automobile park mostly highest end cars, so a great spot close to shore, and quiet.

For the lowest price on booking.com this place is pretty clean, has a balcony, close to everything! Nice and peaceful.. again. It is so clean and it smells good. 👍

Nice new updated room. Very big with sliding glass door and outside balcony. The room was definnatly bigger than most and very clean

This place is my favorite place to stay The staff is friendly the rooms are very clean they smell good and the price is right and they have a very nice clean pool with balconies and the sun is always shining at this location I’d recommend it to anybody it is worth it out of all the motels I’ve been traveling in and out of the Monterey Bay it is far the best at the price
