Lori is everything you want in a stylist. She's personable and good at what she does.

Every time I have gone to ideal, it am listened to and respected. I often ask for the boring hair treatment-just a trim/take as little off as possible, and that is exactly what i get. I honestly believe this is the ONLY salon I have ever been to that actually listens to “just a trim”, and i can always feel the healthy difference in my hair quality after the small trim. Secondly, my hair is handled with care and undivided attention which transpires fantastic energy. Thank you for always restoring my faith in getting my hair professionally cut.

Amazing!!! First of all the interior of the salon is spectacular. All the staff there are kind and sweet people. Haircut wise top notch ask for something and got exactly what I wanted!! Hairstylist there the best I've ever had. Would highly recommend going here 5/5 🥳

Vienna is amazing! She saved my dad and me and did a nice haircut for both of us and hair coloring for me! Great salon, nice people, awesome service. What else do I need? Definitely will comeback.

I very rarely get my hair cut professionally... it had been over four years of me hacking away at it myself, dyeing it, bleaching it, not brushing it for days... it was a mess, and I fortuitously parked in front of Ideal Hair Salon while running errands. I thought "why not?" and made an appointment with Lori.
Without knowing my personality, I let her have a go at whatever she thought would look good on me. She did a great cut that is manageable for me, but also is fun, bold, and sexy! I have played around with it and it looks amazing whether I do nothing to it or do the whole product-blowdry-roundbrush routine.
I so so so appreciate the work she did, especially since it must be harder for her since she isn't drying hair cuz covid (which I also appreciate - she and the receptionist were very respectful of covid safety). Lori herself is personable, fun, and very communicative. I highly recommend and I definitely won't wait years now that I found a great stylist! Thank you Lori!

First timer with Lori. She hooked it up, and delivered a perfect cut. Brought in a picture of what I wanted, and she 1) knew the style and 2) quickly delivered.
For any first timer’s out there, rest assured you’ll get what you’re looking for at Ideal with Lori. While I can’t speak for the other staff from experience, I’m 99.9% confident this story could be replicated with any of them.

Went back to see Joe to purchase another wig that caught my eye on the 11/19/14, I brought my other wigs that needed attention. Joe fitted the wig i wanted and cut it to fit right to my liking, then Joe took the time to fix the 2 wigs I took with me so now they look like there my real hair.
I made a mistake going elsewhere to purchase them, only to not have the attention that Joe gives his customers. He deserves 6 stars from me. When I need another wig in a different color I will be going back to see Joe!

As I came in wary from my travels with a poorly attempted, self induced COVID cut, I left with not only an absolutely amazing haircut but the joyful pleasure of having one of the best conversations I've ever had with a wonderful gentleman by the name of Joseph. Thank you sir!

The latest decor is interesting and will continue to be attractive after COVID. Lori is an amazing stylist it you want some color or even if you just want a cut.

Perfect hair cut. Thank you, Joe. It's been years since I've been this in love with my haircut. I've gotten dozens of compliments. It's so easy and stylish, I have no idea why I waited so long to go back to a bob.

Joe was the first barber I went to when I moved to Santa Cruz in 1965. There has been only 2 other barbers that have cut my hair, totaling a period of about 2 years. (I didn't want to drive to Scotts Valley!) Now, after a period of almost 50 years, Joe has been my barber of choice. Why change now??

Joe has been cutting my hair for years. I live over in San Jose these days, and I still take time off work to go get my unruly mop taken care of. Simply the best. Nothing but good things to say about all the staff I've ever interacted with.

Brisa is the best. I get compliments all of the time on my hair cut and color. She is very patient and has good intuition on what will work with your hair texture.
