Spasso Italian Restaurant has become our go-to spot for special occasions. Every visit is a delightful experience, thanks to the extraordinary efforts of Leo, the manager. His attention to detail and warm hospitality elevate each meal. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, perfect for romantic dinners. The menu offers a wonderful variety of authentic Italian dishes, each prepared to perfection. It’s always a joy to dine here, and Leo’s personal touch makes every visit memorable.

Spasso offers a pleasant ambiance in the heart of San Carlos Downtown. The olive oil dip accompanying the complimentary bread was delightfully flavorful. Our meal comprised of the burrata, pesto gnocchi pasta, penne with chicken pasta, and the chicken breast with pancetta entrée, all of which were enjoyable. To conclude the dining experience, we savored a decadent chocolate lava cake. I would love to visit again :)

The wait staff was friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. They even found us cutting in front of the restaurant when they noticed by brother left a large tip but they had already added gratuity because of our large group. Hats off to that kind of honesty. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We met family at Spasso's for lunch and we had a wonderful experience!

They have indoor and outdoor dining available. Laurel St is closed for alfresco dining but there's parking across the street.

We ordered the seafood linguini w/ prawns, scallops, mussels, rock shrimp, manila clams, fish in a SPICY marinara sauce. My wife enjoys spicy foods but it was too spicy for her.

I ordered the walnut crusted pork chop with sweet potatoes, and spinach. It was juicy and full of flavor.

The rest of the family had the salmon and the teriyaki skirt steak. They said the steak very tender and the salmon was grilled perfectlit

Made reservations and seated immediately; they have outdoor, indoor, and bar seating. They gave us iced water and a basket of bread with some sort of olive oil spread (delicious!! I probably ate 4 pieces, and they refill the basket for free too). I ordered the Black Pepper Fettuccini while my friend got the Pesto Gnocchi. It didn’t take long at all for the food to come out, and they offered to sprinkle grated parmesan on our dishes! Our meals were PIPING HOT, even though it was a breezy day on their patio. I really enjoyed my fettuccini but the portion was so large, I couldn’t finish it and had to take it home. For the price, I believe the amount of seafood is totally worth it! Would recommend for a date night, work dinner, dinner with your parents — anything and everything! The location is right next to a bunch of dessert places too, if you have a second stomach :)

My wife and I recently dined at Spasso Italian restaurant, and it was, hands down, the best Italian food we've ever had. The flavors were authentic and rich, the ingredients were fresh, and the service was impeccable. Every dish we ordered was a delightful journey to Italy. We highly recommend Spasso for anyone craving a memorable Italian feast!

The food was excellent. The portion is generous. Definitely I will recommend the calamari with artichoke, clams and mussels. We ordered the seafood linguini. They were tasty. I will definitely come again.

This is a nice restaurant and the food is delicious, The service is great and the location is very convenient.

The calamari was fresh and very tasty. The calamari texture was perfect, requiring almost no chewing. Next, I had the homemade black-pepper fettuccine with bay scallops, shrimp, and sun-dried tomatoes. Perfection! Homemade pasta exactly like Italy. We followed up with a shared homemade tiramisu with a dash of brandy. Again, perfection. The waiters were very attentive. The best meal I’ve had in many years.

Support local businesses, super delicious! I ordered Saffron Pappardelle Dinner, Grilled Salmon Dinner and Mushroom Truffle Bruschetta Dinner takeout with Uber Eats and it was fast and the food was still hot and delicious. We can't wait to try it in person once we are able to...

My experience was with a party about 30 to 40 people this past weekend. The layout, atmosphere and ambiance was spectacular.

Our party was well looked after, thank you to the servers who met all our requests/needs, provided superb customer service, very professional gentlemen.

The quality of the food was extremely delicious and satisfying. I would definitely dine here again and recommend this place to friends and family and especially if you have a large party.

OpenTable reservation was accepted, cool location in downtown.. it was chilly outside, but, inside restaurant was warm and cozy. Our server was very nice, gave us good veg options (limited, but, worked for us). A bit on expensive side, but, can't blame them in this post pandemic period. Food came quickly and was served hot to our liking.

Will surely visit again.

Excellent food. Everyone at our table ordered something different and we ask enjoyed it very much. The restaurant can be quit noisy, making it difficult to hear people at our own table. Service and food were both excellent. We had a great time.

We just moved to this area from the city and we were looking for great Itialian food that riveled what could be found in San Francisco and we found it at Spasso, check it out and I think you will agree. Alfonso
