A friend recommended this restaurant, and I scheduled a business meeting here for lunch. Great food and service. The atmosphere was perfect. Highly recommend.

The food was amazing! Highly recommend the bruschetta and fettuccine di tartufo. Vince and his staff were incredible. Had a really nice dinner! Thank you so much!!

VERY GOOD - small Italian place. Food was excellent. Pesto pasta and branzino. Bread pudding desert was fantastic.

Excellent Italian restaurant. They offer daily specials and have an outstanding regular menu. There is a good wine selection available. The staff is outstanding and exceptionally helpful. The staff goes out of their way for the customer. Recommend reservation due to limited seating.

A very good Italian restaurant. They really have made us of Laurel Streets generous parklet policy to expand their capacity.

Service was attentive. Two of us split a Caesar salad and each half was plated nicely. And the entrées we quite good.

Authentic Italian food reminds us of Italy. Several classic dishes, and always a few good specials. Staff is has a friendly, family feel. Atmosphere is nice, never pretentious. One of the top Italian places in the Bay Area.

We have been coming to 888 for at least 13+ years. They always deliver very tasty dishes. We shared the Chicken Parmesan and Rissoto. OMG, they were both amazing. I highly recommend this quaint delicious restaurant.

Excellent Italian cuisine. The restaurant is small but not noisy, very easy to enjoy a good conversation.

Excellent food, incredible service, nice outdoor space. Food came out fast and hot. The gnocchi Gorgonzola was the best I’ve had, and the bread basket had a unique touch with some tasty crunchy Italian pretzels with a kick.

Always great pasta selection and quality, along with friendly, attentive service, and a good wine list.

I never had a favorite restaurant until a friend introduced me to 888 years ago. Vince, the owner, is a truly stand-up guy, & staff member George has been with them since the beginning. I’ve Never had a disappointing meal & when there are dietary restrictions amongst our dining party, they have come through stellarly. Remember: ask for that crispy pancetta on the homemade soup of the day, mmmmmm nom nom nom!!

The owner Vince was kind enough to allow us to book out 3/4 of his place for my MIL birthday celebration. He and his staff were very knowledgeable about Cross Contamination for Gluten Free customers and were able to make any pasta dish GF/DF. Not only do they have a wonderful list of wines, they will recommend pairings as well-and they did an amazing job. I cannot recommend this business enough!

The only A grade Italian in san carlos/rwc. I've eaten at all the other joints. Donato and spasso are both b grade and a little cheaper. The others are c+. If you want top notch Italian food between san Mateo and palo alto, this is probably your best bet.

Food and service were perfect. Our new favorite place in San Carlos.

Ciao Vito! We love your restaurant and your nephew is so sweet, respectful and very passionate with his dishes, you can truly taste the amore in everything he creates! This place was undiscovered to my sister and I who have been locals of the san carlos area all our lives until recently. Your restaurant is a true gem in this area and from now on our most favorite restaurant of all san carlos. It is so difficult to find a restaurant that values true Italian culture and passion.

To anyone who wants real authentic hospitality and kindness from the owner and chefs, this is the place to not only fill your belly but fill your heart too!
