Nijiya Market San Jose Store

Excellent selection of Onigiri (rice balls), assorted Bento Boxes, handmade fresh Sushi, fresh meats, fish, tea, ramen noodles and more! I try to go at least once a month. The sales are unbeatable and the prices reasonable. On a given day they have a whole wall filled with an array of take-away dishes made in-house, all amazing quality and flavor. Their fruit and vegetables include rare and unique Japanese favorites such as gobo root, sugar snap peas and Japanese eggplants. Although the location is small they are very professionally operated and the cashiers are very friendly and cheerful 😊 I get all the things I need to make an amazing bowl of high grade Ramen here as well as Sushi and Takoyaki. The location is not far from Downtown San Jose so its pretty easily accessible and they have good hours. Thank you Nijiya!

Another Nijiya market have place in san jose that i will stop by if we go to san jose, sashimi go fast we love salmon sashimi and this was second time that I couldn’t buy cause it was out, we went there around 7:30, fresh sashimi gone , vegetable was fresh, and also fruit , small supermarket but clean, neatly, nice, service was fast

Oh man what awesome crew they have! From outta state and getting some different products for a friend. They were able to help me select some good quality product and explain to me the differences.

An amazing local Japanese grocery store. Small, but mighty, it’s great for whenever I need to grab anything last minute that I might be missing for a recipe, or grabbing something to eat and drink when I’m in a rush.

Love this little Japanese market for a quick stop in for a snack or to pick up some fresh fish. Have to go in early in the day because the prepared foods are usually gone by the afternoon.

A great Japanese market in the heart of Japan town. It's on the small side but they have everything! The best things are their selection of raw fish, ready-made sushi and bento boxes, made fresh daily. They also have a nice variety of bakery goods and my favorite rice crackers and snacks. They have a tiny section of dishware, but there's always a great selection of bowls, sauce dishes and kitchenware!

Japanese grocery store in San Jose. It has fresh vegetables, snacks, and food/sushi in the back area. We got the spicy shrimp crackers that we love.

Very good place to find Japanese items that you will probably not find in any other store.I recommend Japanese pudding and the onigiri. The only bad thing is parking is usually hard to find. The workers are very friendly. Recommend this place if you enjoy sushi,Japanese food,or are looking for a certain Japanese ingredients

Favorite grocery store around. A very compact one with a large variety of selection. Pricing is reasonable for Japan-imported products. You can find almost everything you will need for Japanese cuisines. Especially love their store-brand groceries including Japanese buns and vegetables. Staffs are very friendly and helpful even during this crisis time.

LOVE having Japanese snacks and other goodies available in San Jose!

Smaller than their mountain view store but still pretty well stocked. We shop here often and always in lieu of e.g. whole foods given our more Asian diet.
