Wharf House Restaurant

We arrived at the Wharf House on a Sunday afternoon about 2:00pm in November, and had our choice of tables with a view. Becca our server quickly became our friend, and she provided excellent service during our first visit. The decor of the restaurant is charmingly nautical. My wife loved the clam chowder that was served in a sour dough bowl, and said it was much better than the clam chowder she had the day before in another Capitola restaurant. I enjoyed the Capitola Club sandwich, and our 10-year-old son thought the kids cheese burger and fries were great! They we adult size at a kid's price too. The view from our table was fantastic! Overall, ehe experience exceeded our expectations, and we look forward to our second visit.

Yummy with a view! A lot of people don’t really know about this spot unless you are a local, since it doesn’t get drive-by traffic and is the only restaurant on the Capitola wharf. It is a hidden little gem on the water. This place offers lunch and breakfast.

The club sandwich was delicious! The Eggs Benedict looked tasty as well. It is a tiny spot so make sure you make a reservation for a larger party. It seemed busier for breakfast and their menus looked excellent. They have a small bar to sit at as well and enjoy a beverage.

They have some outdoor seating as well; you can watch the fishermen catch fish from the pier. It is a great location, and they serve excellent food. It is right near the Capitola village. They only have a few parking spots close by, so your best bet for parking is on the hill overlooking the wharf, and you can walk sown from there. Alternatively, you can park in the Capitola village and walk over.

I will definitely be back for breakfast next time!

We live above the Capitola Village and decided to have our rehearsal dinner here. They were amazing. We have come here for years to hang out and listen to bands upstairs. They closed the whole restaurant for us and we had the whole inside to ourselves. Amazing! The manager there is adorable and so sweet and gave us the best service along with the bartender and the cook! Love this place. Always have. If you have a event, this is the coolest spot. We had the bar to ourselves as well! Thank you for the wonderful night we had.

The fried calamari makes me realize I've only ever ate sh*tty calamari in the past. The serving is huge, every piece was so tender, breading was light. It's so delicious. The service at the restaurant was fast and friendly. And how can you beat the view?!?

I loved the place with the view of the ocean, the food and service were outstanding.

I love this place it's phenomenal for me and my family of 7. Because they have Groupon I'm able to get a $65 meal for $35. That's a great deal. And the food is outrageously delicious.

My husband and I celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary with a wonderful date night at the Wharf House. We had an absolutely amazing time. The quaint nautical decor and both indoor and outdoor seating with views of the ocean. The house special cocktail Capitola Breeze was very tasty. Our server Oscar was very polite, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The food was absolutely outstanding!!!!! I had the fresh seared tuna, and my husband had the prawn scampi pasta. We also had the hearty and warm clam chowder in the bread bowl. Yummy. Don’t forget to try the fried prawn appetizer. We are definitely adding this place, to our top 5 restaurants in Santa Cruz!!!!

Amazing view, very good food, nice crowd. Came in on Saturday evening, wasn't that busy. The service was attentive and friendly. The place is kinda pricey though...

The food is wonderful! I am not a fan of Claim Chowder. I have to get a bowl every time I eat here. The staff are the best! Very welcoming and great hospitality!

The lunch prices on here are incorrect. The lunch is more expensive than listed. Worth every penny!

There is paid parking at the peer. 1$ per hour. Super cheap!

The Pesto Scallops, halfway through the scallops; they do not hold back here, and the pesto is fantastic, memorable.
The vibe is great too, a real chowder shop with bar and dancing on top

"Best food on the wharf", yeah, it's the only place on the wharf! Great breakfast, awesome staff! Fun place with live bands. Great place to spend a day!

I had a fantabulous time there. Great ending of summer place to be spending the afternoon. Good food, great music and people enjoying dancing. Love it.

Excellent place to eat. Waitress/ Cook went over the top with her service. My bf asked for a stick if butter n she actually melted a stick of butter for us... and the view is excellent...

Awesome Live Music on Weekends thru end of October. Food is fresh and served very hot. Had the prawns and chips with onion rings. DELICIOUS! Staff displays THE BEST customer service. I'LL BE BACK SOON!

I have gone for breakfast twice now, and enjoyed it quite a bit both times. I found the food very good - loved it, and the help was good, friendly, though at times busy and a bit stretched thin. It is a casual environment, with loads of character, fun to look around the walls and displays. I plan on coming back regularly.

My friend's and I came here on Labor Day weekend and we loved the place, specifically for the live band playing on the roof top. We were just dancing to our heart's content. The party atmosphere is sooo awesome!!! Catch the summer revelry every Saturday & Sunday from 12:30 - 5:30 pm. Bring your party attitude!!!

Food has always been good. I love coming here when they do live music upstairs.. Thats my favorite part!
