We love eating at this place. We drive down from Felton to eat here all the time. They have super good carnitas and taco salad and basically everything. Plus the artwork on the walls is super cool and it’s been a family owned local business forever

I loved this family owned great little Mexican restaurant. The food was delicious 😋 the service was awesome and the atmosphere was great. If you're ever in Santa Cruz and you're craving for some good Mexican 🌮🌯 food, this is the place. I had the chimichanga, and it was amazing. Highly recommend it 👍👍

Authentic, beautiful, family run taqueria. Loved our smothered burrito and chimi! Al Pastor was great. Grandparents cooking for you in the kitchen. Quiet little oasis in the middle of Santa Cruz. Nothing really "spicy" but everything really tasty.

We had the steak dinner platter. I took most of the dinner platter and put in a flour tortilla. And made one great burrito out of it. They also have a quaint little patio outside in the.

A great taqueria with fresh made delicious Mexican food. We had the vegan burritos filled with beans, cabbage and avocado. The salsa is very tasty and in the hotter side. I prefer the red over the green. The chips are crispy and not greasy like a lot of taquerias. They have a nice selection of beverages including Mexican Coke. I had the mineral water and it was refreshing. They have a decent amount of indoor seating and a few tables out back. Service was great and the owner Alex making sure everything runs smoothly. Great food. I had the Chimichanga with the Al Pastor filling and it was great. The sauce they served was also good (spicy). The food needed 10 minutes to arrive.

The best Taqueria in town! Definitely overall service and the food 20/10 ! The team is beyond the amazing. The ambiance is chill and good for family too!

This is one of my fav. Un taco crispy al pastor con aguacate y no habichuelas !

A new favorite that a friend introduced me to recently. Solid Mexican food and very friendly staff. Place can be hopping at lunch time, and for good reason. The food is great! Not a huge menu, which is good, has vegan, veggie, and carnivore options. Has great salsa as well.

I'm sitting here, years later and 1000 miles away, still wishing I could find a restaurant like this anywhere across the thousands of miles I have traveled this country. De La Hacienda is, in my opinion, one of the best taquerias I have ever been to in the United States. Period. I still think about how good a super chile verde quesadilla is. I would recommend this place to all my friends for the 7 years I lived in Santa Cruz, and I do now 5 years since I left. Not only that, it's family run and everyone is given a holiday each Christmas to go back and see family. Is that not something amazing that should be supported? Hope to come back again. I forget who I would often see at the register's name, I want to say Kevin or David, but I hope you're doing well still. You guys are amazing.

Come for lunch, the food is tasty n free salsa..lol... I like the taste but I am not hispanic so my tounge not used to with authentic mexican foods, but its worth to try...

Great place that has been making dank food for as long as I can remember. Just got their veggie burrito and it was super good; whole beans, fresh produce, and great cheese. Super affordable but without compromising quality. 10/10 recommend.

Feast your eyes on THE BEST al pastor burrito that you may ever have. Warm, just under crisp flour tortilla with perfectly executed filling.

Love this place! Good carne asada burrito, nice little garden in the back to sit outside and eat. The salsa verde is sooo good too! People are very kind here too :)

I'm Canadian. So I'm not much of authority Mexican food, but holy smokes, was that ever good. I was told by the lady at the front desk of my Hostel to check this place out and it did not disappoint one bit. 10/10, would crush these bad boys again !

My husband and I ordered flour carne asada quesadilla and side of rice and beans for my son. Very yummy, it’s not your typical quesadilla but that’s what makes it special. The meat was soft. We all enjoyed our meal.

Great food, I recommend the chimichangas and crispy tacos, husband said quesadilla was meh, and I've tried their soft tacos before and they were meh. This tastes like texmex a bit because of the loaded iceberg lettuce+tomato chunks+sour cream, very fresh. The meat and cheese was not as greasy as I usually like lol, but maybe you prefer this! Chips were great, the cashier was kind. ~$45 shown, two chimis, a quesadilla, and crispy taco.

This is not your regular neighborhood taqueria. It's like going to your best friends mom's house whose real nice but then you discover she is a knock out cook. The place is clean, they are warm and friendly and the kitchen puts out some delicious Mexican food from tacos to enchiladas to burritos and a few things in between. All satisfying to the taste buds I'd recommend this place to anyone. It's definitely been a well-kept secret.

Amazing restaurant, amazing food had the chicken chimichanga and was blown away on the flavor. And everything was so fresh from the chips and salsa to the lettuce and tomatoes served on your plate.Service was great, the staff was very cheerful and happy. Will definitely be coming here more often!!!!
