La Cocina Méxicana Restaurant

The competition is fierce, but hands down this is my favorite Mexican food in Dixon. Delicious, authentic dishes with generous portions, reasonable prices and very friendly service makes La Cocina a standout. The salsa is the best in the area in my opinion. The chili verde is so tender and flavorful. We ordered food for take out and the order was accurate even with our varied requests. We were all very pleased with how delicious our dinner was. We highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be returning. I hope if you visit you have a similar or better experience🥰

This place was great 👍 I had the chilaquiles and they were on point! Wish they had a location in Fresno I’d be there all the time. Chips and salsa were also awesome everything was fresh the service was good and parking was easy. Go check em out!

Very good food. Willing to customize and portion sizes were right for the price. Service was very attentive and brought everything we needed. Had a very relaxed atmosphere and got to watch Chopped in the background.

I came here 2 times in a week, each time greeted like a long time patron! The people are friendly, kind and attentive!
The food was great each time with fresh ingredients and the salsa is awesome.
Also, honest people, who kept my son’s jacket for several days after he forgot it at our last visit.

Excellent, fast service with delicious food. House made salsa with chips was a great way to start.

We had a Super Burrito and the two Enchilada (chicken with green sauce) plate — both were excellent.

The food is excellent!!! The flavors are so entrenched you feel like they must of spent the night marinating the food. The only thing better here is the hospitality of the staff. The owners are personable and open making it feel like you are in their home.

Food was legit!! None of that bland Mexican food with salsa that taste like tomato sauce. We ordered sopes with carnitas, rice and beans. The salsa was 🔥so good. Service was great.

Will definitely be back when we have deliveries out this way. We we’re able to park our semi in the Walmart parking lot next door.

The owner is awesome and has a great family. The restaurant looks great, and the customer service is outstanding.

Absolutely great service and fantastic decor. The vibe is nice, as they play classical Mexican music and have wonderful decor on the walls. The steak fajita salad was a little bit lacking in flavor, but it was still the right portion, very healthy, and scrumptious. They also serve you free chips & salsa. My friend got the tacos which were pretty delicious.

Clean. Food was great had sopes and a breakfast burrito. The asada is on point. Beautiful artwork and tables! Lady at the front was super friendly. Will def come back when I’m back in saca area

First time did try here, great food, service was great, I ordered 1/2 nacho and couldn’t finish, it was huge. My husband ordered burritos we call giant, hehe , everything is good combination together,beef was soft , juicy ,and good seasoning, they took out chip and sauce to dipping for us to try before we order, recommend for everyone to try this place when u pass by Dixon

Authentic restaurante Mexicano, excellent food, each table is different and custom painted by the owner, Marco Salcedo, over the years. The family is from Guadalajara, Mexico. Marco is the main cook, and his daughter, mother, aunt, and cousins work there. Aguas frescas made daily and had run out by the time we sat to order our dinner.

Outstanding! Great service and food. I love eating somewhere new and it doesn’t taste like other restaurants. Mexican but not Common Mexican restaurants. And service was fast and incredibly polite. As I saw many people come in and be recognized by staff, repeat customers. A real tribute to how good this place is.

Fabulous food. Had the super burrito in a bowl. Layers of flavor in that as well as the house made salsa are scrumptious!!!

Two of the most awesome tacos I've had. The cochinita and campechano (asada & chorizo) took me back to the Yucatan. And lots of it! The owner (?) was great and the atmosphere fun and relaxed with every table being handmade, painted, and unique.

Delicious food. Very warm and friendly service. I especially appreciated the grilled veggies in my veggie tacos made al dente. My daughter’s burrito was huge and super delicious as well. Definitely will come back!

First of all, the decor is excellent. When you walk in, it’s cheery and smells so good! The staff were friendly and greeted us immediately. We were seated quite quickly even though it was prime time on a Friday night. Free crispy chips and a delicious mild salsa for our party. I had a hibiscus tea that was very unique and delicious; not too sweet. Others at our table had some tasty looking margaritas: strawberry and regular. Our food came really fast for such a crowded time. Also I will mention the toilet paper was so very soft, they had hot water in the bathroom sink and the bathroom was clean! Cute decor! This was the women’s room; I can’t comment on the men’s room. I would definitely come here again and highly recommend the place.
