Words cannot express how I felt during and after my visit with Sarah. She was kind, thoughtful, caring, and I could go on and on! She made me feel so special and listened to my story with compassion and sympathy. I am post bone marrow transplant with chemo and full body radiation. It has been 15 months my hair has been growing back and it is super curly and uneven all over. Sarah took her time and explained what she was going to do and the logic behind it. Not much you can do at this point except even it up and show me how to style it. I felt like a million bucks when I left, a new person!

Sarah was warm, empathetic, and professional all at the same time. I felt that she cared about my concerns with my hair (I am a recovering chemo patient) and used her experience and expertise to make my hair look "normal". She was easy to talk to and she listened. If you’re looking for a cozy yet trendy, efficient yet friendly, and accommodating salon, this is your place. My stylist at Therapy salon was on time, incredibly conscientious, and kind. I have skin allergies that make it difficult or at least scary to use most hair products. My stylist was careful to only use products I had tested before. Because of this care and kindness, I got hair color treatment for the first time in my life. The stylist was so careful to avoid getting product on my skin to the extent possible. The time flew by because I was so comfortable and well taken care of. Thank you!

Therapy Salon is hands down the best salon in Los Altos and the surrounding area. The stylists are great, the Aveda products are the best you can buy (sign up for major discounts) and the owner, Sarah, is a kind, caring professional who puts her clients and her stylists above all else. I've been coming here for years and never been disappointed!

Wonderful salon! Jessica rescued my hair with her amazing color skills. I'm not exaggerating. She is a skilled stylist! Rosie gave me one of The Best haircuts I've ever had. Simple, easy, and elegant. She, too, is a skilled stylist.

Highly recommend. As with everything in Silicon Valley, the salon is pricey. But in this case, you do get what you pay for. It's worth every penny, in my opinion.

Sarah is an incredibly knowledgeable and caring hair specialist. Not only has she healed my hair, but she is also teaching me little care and styling tricks every time I see her. Under her continued care my hair has become healthier and more vibrant. Would highly highly recommend!

This review is for my stylist Jessica. Jessica has worked on my hair several times so far. She did a great job each time! She is extremely patient and careful when working on my hair. The salon is located in downtown Los Altos, and sometimes it took me time to find parking, and I was late. Jessica always called in advance. She would prepare for the color in advance and work on my hair immediately after I arrived. I appreciate all her great work!

In addition, the salon is very clean, the cleanest among all salons I visited.

I have been getting my hair done by Liz at Therapy Salon for a year now. She is amazing! She balayages and cuts my hair to perfection. Today I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted so we talked it through before and after. Needless to say, I always leave Therapy Salon happy and excited for my next appointment. I moved to california 6 years ago and found Sarah on the first month i moved to mountain view. i have always been an avid fan of aveda and i immediately knew she would be my hair dresser for as long as i lived in the bay area. Her love for her work, her attention to details, her stride for perfection stayed with me from day one. she does hair from her heart and she does it best. Yes some days she is busier than others and some days she is short in time but it is all worth it because she is a miracle worker. i consider her not only my hairdresser but also my friend. She makes you feel so welcome and when it is your time you are always number one in her list. i moved away from mountain view a few years ago but i still choose Sarah because no one else compares♥♥♥♥

In fact, Sarah opened Therapy Salon in 2014 in memory of a dear friend she lost to cancer years ago.

I had an amazing experience here! Liz gave me the best haircut and I'm constantly getting compliments. As someone with curly hair I'm always nervous trying out new salons but I'll now be a regular!

First time in the salon. I’ve been looking for a hairdresser in the bay since I moved and I’ve finally found it! Liz was great, she asked lots of questions to understand what I wanted/didn’t want for my hair and based on that made suggestions for something I hadn’t tried before. I love the outcome! Atmosphere in the salon was professional, friendly and super relaxing.

Sarah, the owner, is amazing! From start to finish, she’s kind and friendly. I’m continually impressed at her willingness to go above and beyond.

For a few years, I had to take a break from Therapy Salon; I needed something closer. Boy did I miss it. However, a few months ago, I came back. Already, my locks are being restored and revitalized through Sarah’s care and expert knowledge. She’s always willing to listen to my needs and adjust my biweekly service (botanical treatments) to my hair’s condition. Plus, she does incredible color that looks multidimensional, and flowing cuts. I finally have the curtain bangs I’ve always wanted!

Plus, the salon itself is sooo relaxing, spa-like, and CLEAN. At the “spa”, I’ve become an AVEDA convert, and I’m slowly starting to enjoy many of the products. Importantly though, the salon is environmentally friendly which is a topic dear to my heart.
