Delicious food, friendly staff. The pizza is wonderful. The cauliflower wings are a great idea. They are spicier than I'd like, but they are wings so not a surprise (and they will be just fine for most people).

State of mind is the best pizza in the area. Hands down, and their fries and ranch are straight gas as well. The only downside of this place is walk-ins on a busy evening might take an hour to be seated. Also, the Grandma Pie is great but they have limited availability and it tends to be unavailable in the later evening times. There are lots of great pizza options for vegetarians here. My favorite is just the plain cheese.

Delicious, piping hot fresh pizza. We did a half and half insomniac and ultimate. The ultimate was awesome and we were glad we tried it. Would love to try the Grandma pie another time but we were stuffed. We visited during the West Coast vs hazy IPA showdown as part of SF beer week which was fun. The place was packed soon after and we were happy we secured a table. Friendly, fast staff. You can order via QR code or from the bar. Chairs could be more comfortable but they were sturdy and stackable so I can understand the choice.

It's uncommon that a public house has great pizza but this is one of them! A large selection of craft beers rotates on 2 large displays in the wall which is also adorned with a fun collection of bobbleheads. It was my first time visiting so I had to go with 'The Ultimate' which would best be described as a loaded mushroom pizza with pepperoni. Probably the best and tastiest mushrooms I've ever eaten on a pizza which were cooked perfectly and still had the texture of them preserved with every bite. My wife and I live the double fried fries! Perfectly crispy and weren't too big (ie wedge, steak) or too small (ie shoe string, In N Out). Personally, I love having everything I needed like condiments, extra utensils, napkins, and water being self serve as I don't like to bother the server with every little request and this place conveniently has that including take out boxes.

I recently visited State of Mind Public House and Pizzeria and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly their pizza. In conclusion, State of Mind Public House and Pizzeria is definitely a spot I would visit again. Their delicious pizza, with its emphasis on a perfectly crafted crust, left a lasting impression.

This place has the best gluten free pizza i’ve ever had! I got the heat and sweet pizza on a gluten free crust and it is fluffy and crispy and soft and hard to believe it’s gf! The salad(sugaree) was amazing as well. Great customer service too.

A fun pizzeria in downtown Los Altos! The food is perfect for kids AND parents. The kids like the pinball machines and arcade, it makes for a fun weekend night out as a family.

A state of mind has created the perfect family atmosphere for a public house. The pizza is outstanding. The service staff is one of the friendliest you'll find. They're busy and they don't take reservations. So plan ahead but your trip will be worth it.

Staff has always been very friendly. All the food was amazing EXCEPT the chicken wings. I don't know what is was, but the sauces were terrible for my pallet.

Every pizza I've tried has been amazing. The onion rings were very different and superb. The ranch is to die for....

this place has some really consistent good pizza. Their ranch is on point as is the hot honey. and they often have some really good beers on tap. call All in all a very enjoyable experience

This casual pizza restaurant is a great place to enjoy a slice of pizza before the crowds arrive. The outdoor seating is perfect for dining and enjoying the fresh air. We love Grandma Pie and The Ultimate Pizza!

Just walked up and asked to sit one, was offered a space at the bar. It took a few minutes to place a beer order, because the only bartender was having to run the bar, fill orders for the restaurant, and run a register for ‘drinks only’. Once I ordered, I got a cold beer, and a menu. The 49’r hot dog won out, because all the pizzas only come in a 14” size, which was above my dietary needs. 😎
It was great, served quickly enough, with a side of fries. Ask for extra pickles- they’re house-made and delicious!
The beer list is extensive, and varied. I stuck with my familiar pale ale, served cold and refilled quickly.
I enjoyed the meal, the company, and the experience.

When I'm in the "State of Mind" for a good, generous, comforting pizza, I give them a ring: they've never failed to deliver - not just a pizza but a big cheesy slice of happiness.

Glad to have known this place because of Pliny the Younger :) they have good selection of craft beers, delicious food (popular place for pizza) and It's-It ice cream (yay). Excellent customer service.

Love this high quality pizza place in Downtown Los Altos! The staff is super quick to serve and seat you. And pizza is delectable! We got a mushroom pizza and a half cheese, half pepperoni pizza. The mushrooms are super fresh and the pepperoni is packed with bursts of flavor. The cheese is great too. But the crust...it's AMAZING!!! Super soft and the perfect bake. The last time we went, they even almost ran out of dough. Their cheese fries are also soooo good! The chips and dip are really refreshing and delicious. Overall, a delicious pizza restaurant that is super high quality and has the vibes for a Friday night dinner in Downtown Los Altos! I recommend and 5/5 stars!

We love this place. A long overdue addition to downtown Los Altos. Great pizza and an awesome rotation of beers on tap. The outdoor seating includes a set of nicely shaded tables too.

Yummy food and a fantastic 30-tap selection of All-California craft beers. Staff was super friendly, and the chicken sandwich I had was done just right, quite delicious. There are at least a dozen old school standup video games and another half dozen pinball games. Great beer destination in Los Altos.

Delicious pizza. It was prepared pretty fast. There’s an arcade there as well.

We shared an Heirloom Goat pizza. It was delicious. It's kind of homey as far as atmosphere & they do have outside seating. There is no waiter service as you know it. You can put in your order either by using the QR code on the table with your phone or go up & order at the bar. They do deliver the pizza, but you had to get your own drinks. I also had a draft root beer. It was way too sweet & kind of flat. I don't recommend ordering that.

Customer friendly staff, and nice atmosphere. The Heat and Sweet pizza is a must if you go there. The Jalapeno balls, also highly recommended. Our order was shortly ready.
