Couldn't have been a better experience if you had flown us to Italy, Cal and his team provide great service and I couldn't imagine better food, everything from the Sauces to the bread to the Gelatto tastes like it's house made, which it is. I think this will be a new special occasion tradition! Wonderful.

The service here was amazing! Our waiter was very friendly and gave great recommendations for food and wine. The calamari also had octopus, olives, and green beans 10/10. My husband got the fettuccini lobster pasta and that was very flavorful 10/10. My pasta was good but no wow factor 8/10. We also got the Apple strudel, it came with ice cream. It was flaky and warm 9/10. The only complaint is that the soup was not warm. It also came with a cut out of the menu at the bottom, and this appeared cheap for the prices.

This is in Modesto?!? Wow, I enjoyed a spectacular dinner experience here one recent Friday evening. I say “experience” because it was much more than just food. We had great service. And even got to visit the amazing wine cellar.

I started off with the house spritz made with lo-fi Gentian Amaro. Very tasty. Followed up with the Caesar salad. Classically prepared and very tasty. My main was the ribeye. While the steak wasn’t the star of the night, it was solid. The sides were a surprising perk. Finished off with the peach cobbler and espresso. All perfectly done and presented.

The star of the evening was the wine. And why wouldn’t it be in a restaurant owned by Gallo?! I got to enjoy two of the best cabs I’ve ever had. Overall, this was a wonderful experience.

Our first meal in Modesto and it was 🫶🏻

1. Bruschetta - Balsamic Glaze was amazing, and the tomatoes were extremely fresh.

2. Lavender Panko Chicken - 💯 MUST TRY
It was crazy how you could taste the lavender while eating a perfectly crusted and juicy chicken. I never thought that combination would go together.

3. Grilled Pork Chop - THICK CUT + JUICY

4. Grilled Rib-Eye - I asked for Medium Well, they served it perfectly. It might as well be a Medium Perfect.

5. Herb Risotto - B E A U T I F U L

There was blue cheese inside but it didn’t overpower the flavors of the risotto. AT ALL.

We came for a birthday with a party of 10 on a Saturday night. They put us on a long table as we were jealously, eyeing a round table. The round table was already reserved and the bus boy told us that it gets too hot in that nook anyway. It was a very hot day out and the air conditioner didn’t pump out as cool as it would be nice inside. There were many people sitting on the patio under the fans.

The restaurant is dimly lit, and has a good atmosphere. Very wide space downstairs. The restrooms are upstairs along with all the heat which rises up there. We also saw a banquet room, but nobody was using it at that time.

Two of us got cocktails, and neither of us enjoyed them very much. I guess you should stick with the wine.

They presented us with a basket of focaccia, but only one bottle of olive oil and balsamic for the table so I took a while to pass it around.

We had some Frito Misto for appetizer, and I shared the Caesar salad, which had fresh anchovies, the salmon dish, and the pappardelle bolognese. My partner was not impressed with the food but I thought it was well done. Maybe he had a bad impression after the waitress spilled the salmon juice all over his lap, trying to rush it over to the table. She was not very apologetic either. The food to quite some time but luckily we were not in a rush.

The birthday girl got an ice cream treat at the end, but no candle to sing happy birthday like the girl at another table did get.

It was very nice. The service was amazing and the food. Cal is a very friendly person that makes you feel like you are family and our server Denise too.

I’ve lived in Modesto for 28 years and this is my first time dining here for dinner. The service, food, and atmosphere is amazing and will not disappoint. The house bread is delicious. We ordered a bottle of red blend wine 🍷 for the course of our meal. We had brochette for our appetizer. We ordered soup and salad that had great taste. For our entree, we both ordered The Ribeye with potatoes and broccoli seasoned to perfection. The Ribeye literally melted in our mouths. For dessert I had lemon sorbet and my wife had peanut butter gelato. We had a great experience and will come back again.

Local favorite- never a bad meal or experience. Great steaks and pasta, well crafted cocktails. The outdoor area and bocci ball court are awesome. Make a reservation.

Great food and atmosphere great place for a date night. Service was outstanding and food and drinks were amazing. Kaisha gave us amazing service.

Ambiance is perfect! We enjoyed delicious home made pasta for my son's 22nd birthday where he got treated to a special beverage. Our menus were personalized and staff so wonderful and attentive. Galletto Ristorante definitely gives you a feeling that every guest is important. Highly recommend. Prices are a treat in itself. Thank you for such a pleasant birthday dinner.

When we arrived our hostess immediately knew who we were and gave us the location of our tables. We were going to be 8 instead of 11 and the very accommodating and professional Manager immediately made the change to our table needs. We had the best server we've ever had anywhere. He was very polite and let us take our time chatting and gazing at the very outstanding menu with many generous and variations in their menu. We stayed almost 3.5 hours and were not rushed to leave by staff. Our evening was perfect just like last year with you all at Gallettos. That's why everyone says you all are the best. Thank you.

Excellent atmosphere and service. We all had the ribeye, and the steaks were cooked just as we specified. Potatoes and vegetables were delightful as well. Salad and soup were excellent.

Went to this lovely restaurant for a birthday dinner and sampled lots of food, all of which tasted so good. I had tasted the Paparadelle Bolognese, Truffle Mac and Cheese, Lobster Alfredo and Chicken soup along with a Pear Martini type of drink- all were excellent. The ambiance was really fancy ! Definitely a special occasion type of restaurant

How you would want all restaurants to function in this price range. Yet no one can do it as well as Galletto's. Thank you for the great New Year's Eve dinner was cooked to perfection with bursting flavors that made me want to go back the next day.

Always a good experience but on this visit I noticed so.e variations from how the menu descriptions. The Fritto Misto was described has having Calamari, Prawns, Red Onion, Green Onion and Fennel. Small shrimp were subsituted for the Prawns, big difference! I am sure the Chef knows that Shrimp and Prawns are quite different and is most certainly aware of the cost difference. Green Onions and Fennel as described, would have been nice but these items were not in the dish, disappointing. Instead, marinated Button Mushrooms were used instead. These variations from the description really cheapened the pressentation and the experience also a feeling that we did not get what we paid for. The Short Ribs were great but what was described as Carmelized Cipolini Onions seemed too large to be Cipollini and were not Carmelized. The Butternut Sqaush Ravioli were delicious but such a small portion for the price was disappointing. The music system playing rock from the 50s and 60s seemed really out of place in this environment.

Went to Bridal Shower and traveled from NYC. Had an afternoon of elegance and atmosphere as if I was in Italy. What a beautiful experience.

We have enjoyed Galletos a number of times for dinner, drinks, and social events. I especially love their patio. This time we were on the Food Tour with DoMo. We enjoyed spectacular butternut squash ravioli with just the right amount of topping including goat cheese. Along with this was a splendid 150th anniversary red wine and bonus dessert. This restaurant is a wonderful gem. The staff is so friendly, welcoming, and attentive, without being intrusive. My husband told them it was our anniversary and they really went out of their way to make us feel special. The food and service were amazing, and the atmosphere is great. I can't wait to go back!
