Performance Drivetrain

After spending a long time researching Jeep suspensions and installers, I chose Performance Drivetrain. They spent a lot of time discussing possible options, and the installation process with me before making a final decision. My Jeep has never driven and performed better. I highly recommend this shop for all automotive repairs.

Eric, and his Father before him, have worked on our vehicles for years. Work is always performed professionally at a reasonable cost. We can always count on his total honesty. He has, on a couple of occasions, talked me out of "elective" work on older vehicles saving me money. Recently he talked us out of buying a Jeep. Following his subsequent suggestions I found another which we purchased. He was absolutely on target with his suggestions. The second Jeep is perfect. He handled the situation with the first Jeep owner with tack and diplomacy. Charlie, the Service Manager, is also a pleasure to work with. They have a spotless "designer" waiting room as well. Based on my experience over the years, we can confidently recommend Eric/Performance Drivetrain.

Just got a set of new tires and a "check-up"! I love this shop. The staff is very nice. I particularly love dealing with Charlie. He's very experienced and I trust his advice. Don't hesitate to go to these guys.

These guys are the best !! 5 Stars out of 5. I needed a new transmission for my 2006 Ford Escape and they handled it soooo smoothly and saved me $1000 over having it done in Marin County. Job involved numerous phone calls with Charlie, the service writer, who was always upbeat and professional. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

After putting a lift kit on our Jeep Wrangler it suddenly developed a random Death Wobble. Our 16 year old son drives this car and it became too risky to drive. We wasted time and money at two other places before we fortunately found Performance Drivetrain. Eric and his team were amazing! They fully researched what the problem could be (there were many possibilities) and gave us a detailed explanation of what they felt would fix it. I grew up in a car family and my father always diligently fixed his own vehicles. There aren't many left who truly care and take the time with their craft. This business certainly does with great communication and fair prices too. I would absolutely recommend this company!!!

Incredibly knowledgeable mechanics. There are not many things that they have encountered that they don’t know how to deal with. So many problems with today’s vehicles are diagnosed via “codes” pulled from the vehicle’s CPU. The problem arises when the code does not correspond to the problem. These guys can figure it out. They also have the many years of experience that can help in diagnosing problems in older vehicles.

I have a 20 year old Jeep Cherokee. I want it to be the last vehicle I own because it’s my favorite. I have it equipped with many modifications to facilitate my hobby of off road trips. Eric and his crew have done their best to make sure my hobby is always doable for me. They have worked on everything in my drivetrain and did an engine install that a retired mechanic friend of mine described as the best and “cleanest” install he’s ever seen. On the one occasion that they were wrong in their assessment and repair of a cooling system problem they fixed the problem and refunded the monies that I had paid without argument.

I stated that this vehicle was the last vehicle I wanted to own. When that decision is made one must make sure that things are “new.” Eric recommended both an upholstery business and a mobile electronics place that took care of me. My leather seats and carpet are new and perfect. My sound system rivals my home system and now my phone and the music on it come through the revamped speaker system. The mobile electronic people also did a sound proofing upgrade that included my floor, firewall, and doors. I can actually hear conversations and music at 75 MPH without screaming or having the music in the 90 dB range. If you’ve ever owned an older Cherokee, you’ll be awed with this information.

I recommend without reservation Eric and the gang at Performance Drivetrain.

Again Eric and his staff worked on my grandson vehicle as the vehicle was first taken to shop that did not want to work on the problem. Eric fixed the vehicle in two days and my grandson is very happy. This time it was to rebuild the transmission and the work was done in a timely manner. the price was what was quoted and the vehicle is back on the road.

I've had a lot of work done on my jeep the past 2 years and they've done a great job. Very thorough and do the job correctly. I highly recommend taking your vehicle here.

Eric and his staff are professional and honest. I won't trust anyone else with Ford diesel 6.0. They head problems off at the pass before they become major issues.
