Awesome park that has lots of room to spread out in and on. The grass is green, the trees are tall, the shade is right and the air is fresh! Come foe a lazy play date with your dog on the trails, let's the kids scream with playful excitement or just read a book and listen to your surroundings. Tucked next to Costco and Highway 1, you can't go wrong if your an out of towner looking to see a new side of quiet and quaint. But a hidden mystery lives in the Cemetery that blows your mind if you dare stumble in and read the stones...interesting!

Currently camping here for the night for AIDS/LifeCycle. This park is beautiful and spacious with lots of tables and chairs nestled between tall giant gorgeous trees. It rains most of the morning but luckily the sky cleared and we got some sunshine. Even with all the rain, and about 3000 attendees, the ground was not muddy and icky. Thanks for letting us rest here for the night!

Santa Cruz has many parks with natural beauty and stuff and those are great, but this park is pure function. It has all of the facilities that are expected of a large city park, like sports fields where little league and low level professional games are played, large picnic table areas that can be rented for parties, and a public pool. There are a few fun things to do that aren't connected to the facilities, like hiking in the Pogonip trails that connect to the back of the park and climbing on the old steam locomotive that says "no climbing", but if you're going here, it's probably because you have something scheduled here

A Mountain bike trail and even a dirt bike track nestled in the back for kids and adults of all ages to enjoy. .they have special events and is a really SAFE well maintained friendly park that everyone can enjoy. Its been my favorite park all my life and I highly recommend the old EVERGREEN CEMETARY where the first locals who settled here even before the civil war have been buried . a very historical place that is alive with something for everyone.

I have been coming here since I was a kid playing little league. The original locomotive is still there, my kid loves the 2 playgrounds. Great spot for a bbq under the trees, volleyball net, bike jump park and hiking trails

Harvey west Park is by far my favorite park there is a swimming pool that gives lessons( for a fee of course) there are plenty of places to relax. Have party's birthday, weddings whatever The redwood trees are beautiful and Amazing. The grounds are taken care of Beautifully. The park maintenance is very kind..lots of drinking fountains..it's always green and the grass is full and lush. There are 3 baseball fields at Harvey West. They are very well taken care of as well. There are almost always games going on..lots of picnic areas and hiking trails. Good restrooms. Usually very clean. There are outdoor sinks to wash your dishes or whatever after a bbq or a party.Decent parking. It's almost always easy to find a place to park. There are two different play grounds , one for toddlers and one for bigger kids. They have day camps for kids there. There is Soo much more I could go on and on..but that's enough for now! Go check it out .. you'll be glad you did 😁

The park is great but all the nimby homeowners who are too good for Safeway line up at Costco across the street. They pile up and act snobby while they demonstrate their class and prudence by blocking the street with Subarus and Toyotas and belittling anyone who uses the Park.

Instead of helping people by adding showers, RV tank dump, and water fill to the park. Trustafarians, yippies, and other hypocrites are turning their noses at working class and disabled folks using the park and living in motorhomes and vehicles outside it to survive while they fill their Mercedes "overlanders" at Costco and don't use the park themselves.

You can't barbecue or picnic without a reservation, but there are great workout machines and a good pump track, and plenty of parking most days. Lots of sniffables for dogs. There is a drum circle on the weekends and it's daylight hours only.

This is a very nice park. There's a pool, although not open yet. Swings, slides, etc. As well as, areas for gatherings. There's even a cemetery with many dates back to the 1800's. Nicely kept. The only thing that is somewhat different is the sinks for washing one's hands is in a common area just outside of the toilets.

A Celebration of Life was held at Harvey West Park to honor my beautiful, recently deceased, 1st Son. The park was well kept & user friendly. Our friends & families enjoyed being there in this special place with picnic tables nestled among the Redwoods. It was an excellent choice for All to say their goodbyes to our beloved child. I highly recommend Harvey West Park for your happy or important celebrations.

Harvey West is an unknown treasure. There are miles of beautiful Redwood trails, great places for kids to play, a wonderful swimming pool, a great pump track… Just waiting for it to get discovered. Sometime ago, they were a lot of tents and
people camping in the park, but that has been cleaned up now. Glad Harvey west is back.
