Best Buy

The advantage of going into the Best Buy store is that you can actually compare different options with information provided by a knowledgeable sales person. No pressure, pleasant interactions, prices comparable to online. We have shopped here for refrigerators, mobile phones, and most recently smart watches. These people have struck the balance with the online competition. They are a great place to shop.

Disclosure: I was an employee from 2019 to 2022. Started off as Microsoft certified labor, eventually became a supervisor in the store.

As a customer, I enjoy the selection that the store has to offer, and since I left in early 2022, the store has significantly changed its leadership for the better, the store is much better kept up with, products stocked consistently, everything clean, even brand new carpet.

As someone with significant knowledge of all the types of product Best Buy stocks in its stores— computers, appliances, mobile devices, etc., it’s rare that I need to ask questions about a product, and so when I need help, it’s usually just to unlock a product. If you need a lot of help, especially technical support, your life will be much easier if you make an appointment. The store is understaffed, but I can tell you with confidence as someone from the inside you have corporate bean counters to blame for that. This store carries on great with the toolset it’s been given. Unfortunately, in the economy we’re experiencing, retail is a very challenging environment to work with as an employee and a customer.

I’m thankful to have a big box electronics store out here in Santa Cruz.

I just wanted to give a shout out to Chris Munguia. I haven’t had a lot of dealings with the Geek Squad, but after having issues with my old computer and saving photos to the Cloud, I decided to seek assistance.

I’m not sure if Chris is going to be the genius that figures it all out but I do know he had a wonderful positive and calming attitude. Thank you Chris!

Needed some computer and TV items. They had everything I needed. Clean store. Plenty of helpful staff on entering, there just were not any at the checkout registers. Stood waiting and was called over to the pickup & repair line after they completed dealing with the repair customer.

Thurston, the store director, runs a tight ship. Great store. Excellent customer service, friendly staff. Restrooms are clean and always stocked. Great location near the beach. Easy parking.

Today I chose best buy to shop at and it was a great choice. Not only did Siva help me pick out the laptop for my parents, but he did so with a smile. I recommend this store 10000% all the way. One general rule of thumb, always ask for Siva. He is the best, GIVE THIS MAN A RAISE!!

I bought several appliances and was given professional attention. Did not need to wait as with Home Depot. Always go to Best Buy on 41st! A New York sales lady was so friendly. Loved working with her!

BB is a great place for appliance and computer gaming peripheral purchases. The annual Geek Squad membership is a great value. It includes free appliance desposal/take away. Along with Costco and Amazon, a go-to retailer.

I needed an SD card quickly. They had it and it worked great!

They were slammed on Black Friday, so when I pulled into the curbside pickup and checked in I didn’t expect things to be quick. They came out to the car and let us know it was taking a while a couple of times and offered a gift card for the wait. Above and beyond my expectations, communicative and considerate. Excellent customer service

Why do I see so many people coming into best buy? Because they want it today, and want it now and be done with it. Amazon is great but the benefit of having Best buy is you get to see the product before you purchase. Although Sales teams are a bit tricky to get a hold of, they try their best and eager. good job Best buy!

Found everything I needed here quick and easy. The place looks real nice on the inside. It's a ghost town though, feels quite and empty compared to pre-pandemic presence
