Perfection. The metal selection isn't huge but makes up for it in pure quality. Only record shop I've ever seen with archspire and atheist lp's. Also great funk, rap, and rock section as well. Great AFFORDABLE prices make it a go to spot for when ever im in the Santa Cruz area

Streetlight records is great. They have a wide selection of music, videos, and games on a variety of platforms. Items can be be bit pricey but they do have discounted and clearanced items. I wish I could afford all of the metal vinyls they had had for sale. They have cool posters and memorabilia. Overall, it's an impreasive local landmark with a welcoming atmosphere.

Reminded me of going to the record store back in the day. They have music from just about any genre of music. Really good selection of Metal and Hard Rock. Can't wait to go back

Absolutely wonderful. Their used classical vinyl is incredible. Classic recordings in flawless condition.

A good mix of assorted budget and more expensive sought after titles. One of the better jazz selections I've seen.

I love the authenticity of this place. This is the only shop I go to get my records in Santa Cruz. The people here are open, honest and happy to help you find whatever you’re looking for. This place has a creative and real attitude that I just love. It’s nice to find a genuine business in the array of cookie cutter, yes man places that you see everywhere today. Everyone knows what they’re talking about here and are willing to share the love and their appreciative of music. I love this shop!

Very impressive selection of vinyl, and they have live music!

Super cool local LP and CD store. While their assortment has changed over the years-- they now have a massive supply of vinyl, new and used-- the vibe of the store is still great. And what a great thing, they still carry CDs.

I absolutely adore this record shop they have a very wide variety of records. I always make sure to make a stop here when we visit SC. If you do plan on visiting this shop be prepared to spend a solid check because this shop is the absolute mother lord of records— not to mention their selection of posters, pins and apparel.

If you are on a hunt for a classic record- be it a vinyl, cassette, or cd- Streetlight is an amazing place to find treasures. The staff is very knowledgeable about so many different types of music that, if you aren't sure where to start, you can merely ask them for a recommendation. They can also help to track down a specific artist in their vast rows of tunes. They also have new cd releases, so, if you aren't feeling so reminiscent, there are options for you, too!

Amazing vinyl collections old & new, classical, reggae, rock, country, hip hop, and Indie. The buyers are really knowledgeable about niche vinyl. They've got plenty of CDs if that's your thing. I've gone there since I was a kid but hadn't visited in years. We just got a record player, so I'm sure I'll be back for more vinyl.

I stop by 3 or 4 time's a month. Selection is enormous, cover's CDs DVDS VHS Cassettes and Vinyl Records. Staff is very helpful. Always a good experience 😉a big Store, usually spend an hour or so. Load the parking meter up ! Lots to see !

One of the few remaining true music stores on the planet. I love their selection of Vinyl, CD's, works by local artists, etc.

Good selection of new and used media. Metal and rock sections have some new releases when they drop.

Tons of cool things to check out from movies to all kinds of various music and genres. Vinyl CDs cassette tapes you name it streetlight records has it on lock. I will definitely return soon and buy all the cool things that couldn't get when I went

This place will always be a favorite of mine. Although their store is medium sized, their collection has everything you really need. The staff is friendly, and the vibe is nice!

My mandatory stop when in Santa Cruz. This is still one of the best Streetlight locations. I have been coming here since I was 16. No matter of how my taste in music changes this location always has some good tunes.

Incredible experience in this shop. I was able to randomly purchase Redd Foxx and Richard Pryor stand-up on vinyl for $20. Great atmosphere and all around chill vibes.
