Hilary did an amazing job cutting my hair, hands down the best haircut I've ever had! I have been trying to find someone who can bring out the best in my hair for a long time, and she just had a perfect sense of what to do with it. I had been hesitantly considering bangs for a long time, and she was in full support of it which had me convinced. What she did turned out a million times better than I imagined, and it was a fun experience to be encouraged like that and have us both be excited with the turn out. She even asked to take pictures after which was very flattering, and even though I never take selfies I couldn't help myself afterwards! She was so friendly and accommodating, cut hair like an artist working her magic, and even gave a killer scalp massage!
So happy to find my new go-to local hair salon, very clean, inviting atmosphere with awesome art on the walls. Will definitely be back!

I’ve seen Hillary Jaramillo twice now for a hair cut is she is FANTASTIC! I have never encountered a hairdresser that’s able to do retro shags and transform my hair so significantly. I used to have super long hair but it had no volume, shine and bounce to it… the before and after speak for itself! Highly recommend her!

Darien was recommended by a friend and I got a great cut and highlights. She spends a lot of time with me and really listens. I have fine hair so it can be hard to get it right. I would highly recommend Darien.

I had my hair cut by Rizzo. He is really good at what he does! I showed him some pictures of what I wanted my hair to be more like, and I walked out excited to take photos of my new style. I understand now how to get some volume in my hair. Thank you, Rizzo!

So far, Crystal has been super sweet, SUPER honest, and easy to talk to!! Eren at the front desk has a great energy and he seems very efficient. I had my consultation today, the 26th and soon she will go to work on my ugly, grown out, faded dyed red hair. Red is never easy to get out, but she was forthcoming about the end possibilities and seems experienced in going from red to blonde. I should also note, Crystal was willing to work out a plan that not only fit our vision for my hair, but a plan that my wallet could handle and I respect that about her. It seems like she loves her job and just wants to help people feel good!

I had an amazing haircut with Sandy, they managed to fit me in last minute before the weekend so make sure you book early. Excellent stylists really appreciated all the care of detail to each of the clients they had before me.

I just love Crystal L.! She has been doing my hair for years and now, and is always very thorough. She never cuts more than I ask and keeps my hair looking healthy and beautiful. She takes her time and is honest about what may or may not be flattering or helpful to achieve the look I want.

I was super nervous about going her because I have curly hair and not every stylist is good with it but Darianne was amazing! The whole place felt so clean and friendly. If you have curly hair, this place is perfect!

Mona At Urban Grooves ROCKS! It has taken me 2 years to find a hairdresser in Santa Cruz and Mona blew my socks off with her skills! I have found the staff to be warm and friendly. Hands down the best in SC!!!

Super hospitable, was offered a beverage immediately upon arrival and Mona gave me an awesome cut and I already look forward to going to see her again- ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Go to Tyler! Not only is he a creative and talented hairstylist (for men AND women) but he is also the easiest person to talk to! I usually feel very uncomfortable during hair appointments because I don't know what to say/talk about. But with Tyler it was a flowing comfortable conversation the whole time. He is great with color as well! I highly recommend this salon, but more importantly I recommend him!

Believe it or not I live in SF but wait to come to Santa Cruz just to have Grace cut my hair. I've been to many if the best salons in the city and have to say Grace is on par with any of them. Overall the entire staff is pretty diverse, so what ever you're looking for in a stylist you will surely find it here.

I have been coming to this place for a few years now.This is one of the best Salon in Santa Cruz – they are wonderful - so professional and courteous. I have had a few things done at this Salon and the experience has always been great! I highly recommend this Salon to anyone who is looking to replace their current Salon. They have great service - always friendly and do a great job - :) Tons of compliments on my hair.

Blanca at Urban Groove is the best. I have short hair and it was hard to find someone who knew how to cut it right. Now I get stopped on the street and asked about my hair cut (and color, too!), that's how good Blanca is! The best part is that even after growing out several weeks, my hair still looks good. She also cuts my teen son's challenging hair after he had some pretty bad cuts elsewhere (his hair is hard to cut right). Could not recommend her more.

I am visiting from upststu NY and wanted to change up my hair color. So booked an appointment with Jen. She did a fabulous job with color! Ibt b
