It's a fairly small shop, and I've only been in a handful of times, but every time I have gone inside, I've had a good experience with whoever is working. They are talkative about what is happening in the area and have given tips and information to help with what is hitting and where. (We all have our secret spots, and none are ever discussed). Very good place to go, even if it's to visit

We often go to benicia bait and tackle to pick up bait for a day on the lake. It's situated in a lovely neighborhood in benicia and has a good deal to offer people who do fishing in lakes and or out on the bay or the Delta. We also use it when we need to get new fishing license and it's always a breeze to get that taken care of. Staff are always friendly and helpful.

Nice shop, fair prices also you get ice with your bait. A little tricky to find because no signs due to remodeling or exterior. Just look for the neon open sign.

Benicia Bait has the best and freshest bait in Solano County! The store is clean, neat, and you certainly will get your money's worth! You will always get a warm greeting from Gene , Pam, Greg, or Tony. They always make you feel welcome and they will answer all questions given to them relating to fishing. I highly recommend Benicia Bait and Tackle! It's jus simply marvelous!

Good stock of specialty rigs, friendly service- even when you're still "green" they treat you well. Excellent selection of bait with plenty of cool tackle to browse while waiting for friends to arrive at the pier.

I got everything I needed. I was looking for a bait threader in particular and this is the only store that had one on that particular day and the young man working the counter was very courteous and knowledgeable... Everything nice... very reasonable prices...
