Best barbershop in the San Joaquin Valley. Throughout the years I’ve gone to many barbershops. Thus far Goldstar has been the best in service and consistency. It’s more than a barbershop; it’s a family and everyone who comes in is always welcomed. Sometimes I just go in there just to hang out because the atmosphere is always positive. Each barbers has their own magnetic personality.

Found this place today and decided to take a chance. My personal barber is in the Bay Area but I was in desperate need of a cut. Base on the location and handful of reviews I decided to stop by Goldstar. I called in the morning and managed to get a same day appointment with Daniel. When I arrived Daniel was there to greet me and took care of me right away. Now, where I usually get cut I don’t get the treatment of a hot towel of washing out of my hair after. This was a surprise! Everything in my experience was beyond what my expectations were. It wasn’t busy when I arrived. Daniel did his thing and I legit have zero complaints. A haircut should be this easy every time. I will most definitely be back!

Best barbershop in Visalia hands down every baber in the shop is skilled but my barber in the shop is Valerie she is awesome she always works her magic to make me even finer than i already am which is hard but some how she does it so if you're looking to get a bad ass haircut come here the other shops will make you look ugly as hell

I went to a number of good barbers at multiple shops during my first 8 years in Visalia, but I found my favorite 5 1/2 years ago with Jae at Goldstar and I've been with him ever since. He, and the shop, are just that good. Besides the excellent job he does cutting my hair, the shampoo/scalp massage after the majority of the cut has been done is outstanding! 5-stars plus!!!

Love this place and all the barbers there, especially Andy! Almost a year ago I found this place and have never stopped going to Andy. I've not only found my favorite barbershop in Visalia but some good friends as well! Thanks to everyone there that makes the place feel so welcoming!

Everyone there seemed like great people but Valerie was the stand-out. She was fantastic. I've spent years seeing the same barber somewhere out of convenience and familiarity and not always getting what I wanted. Valerie listened, asked questions that were responsive to what I had said and she actually gave me what I asked for. She's intelligent, funny and professional.

The atmosphere at Goldstar is the quintessential Barber Shop. At 56, I've likely had close to 300 haircuts in my life and this one stands out.

I may travel back to Visalia from Sacramento just for this.

This is my boyfriends top place he goes to get his hair cut and beard trimmed. Val is really awesome at her job and my guy comes out looking amazing every time. The owner and staff really seem to take pride in what they do. They always offer something to drink while you get your hair cut. It's got an old fashioned feel to it, which is really cool and welcoming.

Valerie is outstanding! She booked me last minute when I really needed a haircut and did a fabulous job. Valerie is highly skilled professional and on point! The only place in town, in my opinion, to get a haircut and I've done the downtown circuit. Best part, you can make an appointment. While others may offer a less expensive cut, (except for East to West, as they charge the most) waiting for an hour or two is not worth the few dollars you save. Oh yeah, and did I mention the hot towel service and a beer or bottled water with your cut? Mat is my barber, and after a cut, I always get compliments. You won't go wrong with any of the barbers here, though, they are all great. Gold Star is the best.

Best haircuts hands down, great atmosphere, cheerful people, and they take care of you. Appointments are always highly recommended, I always deal with Jaé and walk out looking and feeling like a million dollars. Affordable is a key here and they go above and beyond for the price you pay. Great service, great cuts, what more could you ask for.

Best experience, the shampooing with the wheatgrass towel is amazing, I fall asleep every time, it's that relaxing.
