Black Bear Diner

Our family went out for lunch & had a great time here. We were greeted & taken to our seats upon entry. Our server was really prompt & courteous. She immediately got us our drinks & for our order. The food really didn't taken much time to get to our table and was delicious. I got a patty melt with sweet potato fries (yum). The atmosphere was family friendly and the music was good. We really enjoyed our visit today.

This is a really cute restaurant. We came here after Olive Garden had a one hour wait. I'm happy we did. The atmosphere was fun and the service was excellent. The food was very good and portions were generous. My adult son got a little Cubs meal and it w almost more than he could eat. My daughter and I shared a meal and were satisfied. There is a cute little gift shop here too. The bathrooms were clean.

This is a great diner for tasty food and generous portions at a very fair price. They have a very attentive staff and can be busy, especially during peak times. The bear theme is fun and all over the restaurant. I especially enjoyed the huckleberry shake, which is not a treat I can get in my own State.

WOW! Zero complaints from my family. The food was absolutely delicious & big portions I would say. My little one lived the cub pancake platter with fruit. My husband's corn beef & hash was unlike anything we've had before! Fresh squeezed orange juice. I loved the grits. This is a popular breakfast place, their was a line outside. We were seated in 25min. Worth the wait!

Great service, the food was delicious, and the price was just right. I've been here when it's extra busy on a weekend but today I was surprised to have had no wait time for seating and our food was delivered very quickly. I think 3:30 p.m. on weekdays is the best time to dine-in.

I just love breakfast at Black Bear! The food is always fresh and yummy. Aw man and the service is remarkable! Me personally my favorite hostess is Gracie, she’s such a sweetheart always smiling and she always makes sure my food is hot. The manager Misty is the best and I mean thee BEST, everything is always running smooth and if I ever need anything extra Misty makes it happen! I won’t forget to mention the owner Robert, he’s always is a great mood and he also makes sure I’m very full and comfortable!

Our server was great. He had a wonderful attitude, was eager to help, was attentive and had a great smile to go with it all! The menu has a lot to offer and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner all day. I like the bear theme to go along with Yosemite, especially the wonderful murals. Our food was delicious. We hope to be back before we leave. So glad to have found this gem!

We come here about once a week and really enjoy the service we get from the moment we walk in the door we are greeted & taken to our seats. Our favorite server Fernando is really prompt & courteous. We also love Cynthia! Both are on top of things as far as getting our coffee, which we love, taking our order, .. The food really doesn’t take long to get to our table and is delicious. I personally love when they have pozole. They really go above and beyond to cater to our needs. We always leave there feeling thankful and happy.

We had breakfast with hubby and baby !! Black 🐻 and we are so so bless to have the privilege to be served by Robert he not only went to serve us but he went above and beyond to make us feel special he took us a picture then he came to surprise us !! Oh definitely surprised 😮 Place it in a frame how did he do it no clue but so bless God bless him !!

I used to work here and I loved it ! The atmosphere was amazing and the customers were always happy ! Recently just ordered some French toast and a coffee through door dash and when I took my first sip of coffee and the first bite I just had a flash back of memories from there ! I love this black bear ! The food is amazing and hot and it comes with big portions ! The coffee is the BEST omg ! Such an amazing restaurant when you want to dine with the family or even alone . Thank you guys for the French toast I am seriously happy !

Fabulous restaurant with the best bacon I have ever had. Absolutely love the decor and atmosphere. Service was quick and friendly. The food was delicious and the plate was full. The cinnamon roll French toast was amazing.

I like the atmosphere there, the place inside looks so nice with that bears and wood style. But even better was the food. It was really tasty, and everything had that homemade vibe. They have a big menu and there is something for everyone, surely.

Group of 7 cousins had a great breakfast/lunch. The manager even took our picture. Very friendly and efficient. Always good food and great prices

Been to plenty of Black Bear Diners all up and down the coast and around the state and can say my server Christine was as on top of things as it could get and genuinely appreciated it and enjoyed my meal. Thank you!!

Thank you Misty and Robert for your exceptional customer service. The Grizz is my favorite dish with hot coffee. The food is so delicious. Everyone needs to try their desserts. They are all equally delicious. We love the Chocolate Cream pie. My favorite breakfast restaurant in all of Visalia.

Excellent breakfast. Steak was very good, with little fat/gristle. The eggs were perfect. My wife got the chicken fried steak, which was very good.

Very nice people even at 6am! Good food - prices are much higher than just a year ago (like everywhere.) appreciate that the manager came over to say good morning and thank us for coming in. Feels good to be appreciated as a customer.
