Staff was courteous and very helpful to both my wife and myself on separate occasions. We had to return/exchange a guitar purchased for my young son to take lessons. No problem whatsoever.

Cool selection of guitars, ukuleles, mandolins, and keyboard stuff, too. They have tons of the odds and ends musicians need: patch cables, pedals, etc. I'll be a regular visitor.

It was my first time in at Bananas At Large, and I was desperately in need of an audio recording interface for my home recording setup. They had exactly what I needed, and the sales staff was very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. After settling on a Steinberg audio interface (which has been working out great), I decided to look around the store a little, and was really impressed with the selection of acoustic and electric guitars (Guild and Martin are two of my favorite acoustic brands, and there were quite a few to choose from!), as well as some assorted drums, drum hardware, electronic drums, lighting rigs, amplifiers, mics, keyboards, and more. The pricing on everything seemed very reasonable. Needless to say I will be back soon!!!

Best pro gear store in North Bay.

The staff are always friendly and helpful. I only had one incident when they sold me an obviously used product and charged me for a new one. Aside from that, they’re a good bunch.

Amazing store, employees let me test everything and helped me find exactly what I wanted.

I am new to guitars, I went in to purchase a entry level guitar and was extremely happy with the service that was provided. Very knowledgeable staff that did not make me feel dumb for literally not knowing anything.
A week after purchasing the guitar, like the newb I am I broke a string trying to tune it with my phone. I called the guys up and they said to bring it in. They sold me a new set of strings and then showed me how to install it so I could do it on my own if I did this again. Purchased a tuner and a few little recommended tools to keep it running smooth.

I highly recommend this shop.

The Staff particularly Sergio was very helpful and courteous. He assisted in expediting my purchased bass set up in the time frame which was convenient. I traveled from Alameda. Zachary the manager is excellent. I have bought guitars, amps, pedals, etc... and every time I'm there he's a great help! Also recently needed some warranty work done on a 68 Twin and they handled it quickly and with no problems. Great service and friendly employees!

These guys are the best! I called in looking for a wireless microphone setup with a small mixer that would interface with my home audio system and could also be portable if needed. Nick pieced together the most perfect setup I could imagine and had it ready to demo when I arrived! The versatility of the Boss RF wireless mic transmitter is insane. It turns any mic wireless in seconds and has a great range. The Yamaha mixer was ideal and came with a couple adjustable real time effects (reverb/echo). Picked up a new SE Electronics dynamic microphone too which sounds great! We drew out the setup and got the correct cables and I was live in minutes once I got home. Thanks Nick bro!!!

It's really a great thing to visit a music store in person and not online or a mega chain store. Super friendly staff and encourage you to to try out an instrument before you buy. I purchased a large bass cabinet from the Santa Rosa location and they had it transferred to the San Rafael store to make it easier to get from the peninsula. They were very accommodating.

Nick was about the best and funniest salesperson I have ever met. He was super helpful, tested everything and then gave me the best possible price. Well worth the visit. Much better than having bought online with no one to explain how the equipment works.

Everyone in this store is super friendly and helpful. Their manager Zach always goes out of his way to help me with finding any gear I inquire about. This is the only guitar store in this area worth going to. I'm so grateful for these guys!
