I love visiting different bookstores and Paperbacks Unlimited only increased my love of bookstores. They’ve both used and new books neatly divided into different sections based on genre.

We spent two hours here browsing all the books, and bought quite a few books. That the used books are almost half the price of the original makes it tempting to buy more books, always a sweet feeling. The staff is friendly and tries their best to help out.

We had some problem locating the bookstore on the maps, it’s located right on the Sonoma highway, and is quite conspicuous. They’ve parking in the back of the bookstore and a restroom inside as well. You can also trade-in your books here.

I’ll be back here again whenever I’m in the area.

Staff was really friendly and helped me find the four books I was looking for. The books I purchased were in good, used condition, and at a great price. They have everything you can think of. I highly recommend checking them out.

What a great bookstore we found on our way home! Lovely couple, beautiful selection and so clean & organized! 4 people with $200 worth of books, we were back on the road anxiously waiting to dive into our treasures.

I visited here to donate several paperback books that we no longer need I have often driven by but had never stopped inside it is very unimposing from the outside and I was very pleasantly surprised when I stepped inside. It is actually much bigger than it appeared from outside and it is clean, well lit and very well organized. I have switched almost all of my reading to Ebooks but for anyone still reading paper books this place is great and deserves your consideration.

Paperbacks Unlimited is one of my favorite places in Santa Rosa. I've been going there for 20 years. They always have something I want. I love being able to return some books or audio books I don't want to keep for store credit. It reduces the already very low prices. They are very well organized, clean, and helpful. It's the best for book lovers.

We LOVE Paperback's Unlimited! The selection is as good if not better than a traditional bookseller. The atmosphere is incredibly relaxed, comfortable, and inviting. The staff are very helpful and always willing to help you search for the titles you are looking for. This is one of our favorite places in all of Sonoma County to visit and we always look forward to visiting!

Great book shop, clean, friendly, well stocked and great turn over of books and they take trad ins!! Been here for a very long time.

I'd call this place disjointed but yknow what? I always find something great there, the prices are great, and the people who run it are really nice. It's hard to find what you're looking for sometimes because the books people donate can be odd, so it's best to go in with no expectations. Great place for a good read!

Great used bookstore with a large selection. Bring in your finished paperbacks lying around for store credit and you'll be thrilled with the prices. I never pay more than 25% of the retail price when I have store credits to apply. Love supporting a local business. Definitely give them a try!

In an era when bookstores close more often than they open, Paperbacks Unlimited has been a consistent haven for local book lovers for more than FORTY YEARS. The store is clean, friendly, and spacious; the staff is knowledgeable and friendly; the books are in top used condition, and very well organized. You can either go right to a section for a specific author or title, or you can browse to run into books you didn't even know you wanted! There is plenty of parking, including a lot behind the store, under shady trees in case you have groceries in the car.

Whenever I'm headed toward Santa Rosa from Hwy 12 East, I make a point to stop at Paperbacks Unlimited for at least a quick check of my favorite sections (in my case, that would be metaphysics, literary fiction, and philosophy).

You can take in your paperbacks for trade credit, but they're particular about condition, so be considerate and don't take in tattered, marked up, used-up books. Also, be aware that you still have to pay half of your purchase amount in cash, only because power companies have not yet progressed to accepting books in payment of utility bills (though the staff would probably be happy enough to be paid in books)!

What can I say? I'm a huge book nerd and this place is one of my favorite bookstores around. They have such a wide variety of books and it's a calm atmosphere. Could literally spend hours there. They also have the Blind Date With a Book concept! Love it!

Always fun to go here. Everything is so clean and well organized. We always buy our books here, then turn them back in for credit. Very nice staff who are always there to help.

I love this place! The staff is always courteous and helpful. It’s fun to browse through their inventory. Or, I knew exactly what I was looking called them up and they had it! Super convenient. Thank you all so much for having this great store in my neighborhood :)

So many good books. Dropped off a bag, picked up more, and got 50%off from the credit. Yeah!

Extremely large collection of gently-used paperback books. I was able to find a copy of an out of print F and SF book, by Mercedes Lackey, for which I had been looking before the Covid-19 lock down. Aisles of all genres of books take up most of an old two bedroom home.

Simply the best. Great selection, friendly staff, that lovely smell that only bookstores have ... Paperbacks Unlimited can't be beat. This is my first stop whenever I need a book. And often when I don't need one at all.

Great place. Good prices. Great trade in value for store credit. If you're a voracious reader and like to have a physical book in your hand, this is the place for you.

Lots of great Variety in books I found a wonderful Sinclair Lewis and on another visit I found another Sinclair Lewis and on that same visit I found a John Steinbeck that I hadn't read.. Paperback Unlimited it is truly great find and is something that should be nurtured and cherished.

The best used book store I've ever been to. Takes used paperbacks or hardbacks that aren't in paperback yet, gives store credit that you can use for up to half the value of your purchase. Most books are $4-$7.

Huge selection of books, including some popular hardbacks. Great, knowledgable service. I bring the books I'm finished with for credit towards more books to read. They've been here for decades.
