Stunning year-round, Crane Creek is not to be missed! Plenty of trails wind through the rolling hills, along rushing creeks in the winter, and verdant green fields in the spring. And there's even an 18 hole disc-golf course as well! Crane Creek is especially awesome if you're into bird watching - the skies are often dotted with Cooper's Hawks, Red-tailed Hawks and White-tailed Kites.

This little park is a great place to take your little ones for a hike. The "long" way around is about 2 miles, and the hills aren't very big. There is a little picnic area under some oak trees and another at the top of the sunset trail. The closest thing I've seen to a predator is a gopher snake. There's also a Frisbee golf course if you're into that kind of thing.

Awesome park with many different walking or hiking trails. Such a little gem in Sonoma county that I love to frequent often. Great for the dog or little kid. They also have frisbee golf courses.

Nice and short trail... recommended for early morning or late afternoon walks... no much shade around...

Great for a 30-60 min hike with young kids (3-8 range) who can hike 1-3 miles. It's mostly flat.

It's also a cattle grazing areas so we ran into some cows.

If you're into disc golf, the park has a disc golf course.

Crane is a great park. Disc golf course is excellent and great for beginners. Wide open.

Walking at Crane is the best as well, with great trails. Not very hilly.

Crane Creek is my favorite regional park in Sonoma County. A great place for walking trails, birding, or observing other wildlife. The parking lot is well maintained, with several convenient picnic tables.

Absolutely love walking around Crane Creek. There's a nice variety of trails with opportunities to see birds of prey or some cows. It's not a difficult area to walk, although some of the trails can be a little mushy after it rains. You're sharing the area with frisbee players. There are picnic tables for eating at as well.

We took the kids for a hike at Crane Creek on a hot summer day. We wanted to avoid the crowds, and Crane Creek was the answer. Hardly any cars in the lot, so that was great. The disc golf course seems well-maintained. The hiking paths are all wide and clean, save for periodic cow paddies. We did not see any cows wandering, as the sign said we may, but we definitely saw evidence of their presence. Beautiful area for a hike, even in the brown-yellow dry of summer. (note that the photos I uploaded were taken in January, several months after I wrote this review. Not sure why Google added them to the review.)

Lovely county Park with a frisbee golf course, lots of paths to walk, on leash dog friendly and the best part is there are grazing, free roaming cows! Really nice views, very green. There's a parking lot with a pay station.

Beautiful live oaks and fun for the family. Nature really shines here. numerous walking trails from hard to one I was able to walk up a hill and rest under the tree, even with a broken back.! Going back tomorrow!

Beautiful this time of year. Wear your muddy hikers and do a tick check afterwards. The ticks are very small this time of year.

Beautiful open space
Quiet , not too many mountains per say but has hills and valleys. Dog friendly , several different trails - none of which are too extreme, but each provide different views and perspectives of the park. The real kicker is the 18 hole Frisbee Golf set up amongst and in between the trails.

Simple, but beautiful place to take children of any age; probably the best time to visit for us is after rainy days when the creek is flowing. We've visited this place with my child since he was three years old. He's almost eleven and still enjoys crossing the creek when there's water in the creek, climbing the oak trees, etc.
Definitely a "recharge the soul" type of place if you're truly in the moment. 😊

Great views here, never too crowded. Love the disc golf course. Just beware of high weeds and lost discs.

Great place for a light to moderate hike close to town, yet full of natural solitude. Plenty of off-shooting trails to explore and a nice little hill on the backside via Sunset Trail. If running, there are a few good little quick burst hills to train on if not yet ready for Taylor Mountain.

Our family loves coming here to get out of the hustle of the "city." It has great easier trails for little kids and just for a beautiful jaunt through the hills of Sonoma County. The summer time yields that golden grass everybody loves for their photos, while the winter and spring grows wild and green. This is where the city meets country, where you can see the cows and the lights down below. Perfect sunset watching here!
