Monet’s has a cozy neighborhood feel. The sound of a jazz musician playing standards on clarinet added to the appeal. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were offered multiple small tastes of the owners’ favorite wines from lesser known boutique wineries. And the opportunity to pair with our lobster appetizer and the chicken cordon bleu. The homemade bread was crisp and tender. The risotto was sublime. The wine regions conversation with Jennifer was elucidating. We only need a personal helicopter to return often from our home in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Merci! Merci!

Monet's is amazing. The service is always great. We like to dress up and it makes the little place seem way more fancy. The live music is nice, not too loud and always just the right vibe.

THE BEST PLACE EVER!!! Every time I come here the staff is wonderful the ambiance is amazing, it’s just like a little cafe in France. Don’t get me started on the food! They use such a variety and mixture of flavors it through a you into food heaven. And bets of all… it’s not that expensive. Now I’m not a drinker but I’ve heard that the wine is truly delightful 😋

Great atmosphere, but very small place. Small patio seating outside that offers views of downtown Exeter. Staff was very nice, food was amazing!

Friendly staff. Wow the lavender brie was wonderful and they gave us extra bread when we run out! The lavender cocktail was superb as well. They owner has a portrait on the wall and she actively buses tables. See if you can spot her. Portrait was made 20+ years and she has not aged a day! Must be the red wine 🤣

Had an amazing time. First time @ Monet & first time in Exeter. The ravioli w/ lobster sauce was incredible. Paired with the perfect Einstok Icelandic beer. Lastly the owner & our waitress Katy were exceptional, warm & had the best smiles ever. Can't wait to come back.

Travelling through Exeter on our way to Sequoia, we found this cute little restaurant with European fusion kitchen. By far the best restaurant experience we had in the US up to this point. The ravioli, flank steak and chicken crepes tasted incredibly rich and flavourful! The service was great and there was even a musician playing live jazz music. Overall 100% recommended! We also got some tips for our upcoming travels. If you are in Exeter, go to Monets Wine Bistro - you will absolutely love it! This place easily competes with the greatest restaurants of Amsterdam (where I live).

Our go-to place for a date night that needs to be special. Super NOT fussy, very much the relaxed and comfortable dining experience with the extra vibe of everything being personal and considered. No pretense, the proof is on the plate and in the wine list. Desserts are not my thing so the prix fixe menu is great, my sweetie gets to try TWO house made creations. The international flavor includes other diners, we've had such interesting brief conversations with people living across the globe here! So amazing to have close to Visalia!

Great place. Was recommended by a friend and we see why. Owner is extremely knowledgeable about wine. Food is phenomenal. Everybody in party orverendulged themselves on dessert. It's definitely a hand crafted gem hidden in Exeter. Take a look at their menu and when you can't decide cause it all sounds so delicious, point at a random dish, and you won't be disappointed,

After a long day of hiking at Sequoia National Park, my husband and I were looking for a delicious dinner as a reward. We were tired and sweaty, but it didn't matter. As we dined and sipped it was obvious everyone at Monet's is treated like a regular. For such a small venue the menu is extensive - Allison happily provided her recommendations at our request and they didn't disappoint.

My husband ordered a glass of the Ex unoaked chardonnay and I ordered the Opia, and both were crisp and delightful. The croque monsieur was everything I hoped for, with crispy bread, gooey cheese, blistered tomatoes, and a thick slice of ham sandwiched in between. The seasonal salad with white peaches, goat cheese, and house vinaigrette was refreshing and light, a nice contrast to the savory open face sandwich. My husband's lemon cavatappi (that I eagerly sampled) was creamy and light, and the hefty portion of pasta was cooked perfectly.

We closed our meal with a duo of desserts - everything sounded amazing and we couldn't choose just one. At Allison's recommendation we chose the lavender cheesecake and the salted caramel chocolate tart. Both portions were massive and we struggled to finish them. The cheesecake was absolutely divine - airy and light like an angel food cake, creamy like a cheesecake, and topped with a perfect, thick layer of lavender sugar glaze. Freshly made whipped cream, blueberries, and a sprinkle of lavender finished off the dish. The tart was the perfect opposite - a crisp crust filled with a thick layer of dense chocolate and topped with a delicate layer of house made salted caramel, also served with a side of whipped cream.

I wish we lived close enough that we could be "regulars" at Monet's, but the vacation memories will have to do.

Oh my goodness! Sooo worth the short travel for a wonderful evening. The food was, roll your eyes in the back of your head, phenomenal! The peach brea appetizer…… OMG! Lavender honey cocktail, so unique and yummy! And then the entrees….. I can’t even begin…. Marsala chicken and crepes and the filet. (Yes, we shared! So amazing). Lavender cheesecake?! Still raving about such a creation! The atmosphere is beautiful. You would be comfortable from casual to formal. No matter what you are wearing, the staff are more like friends and family. This was my first visit and they are genuinely happy to see you. Not like, thank god your here, more like, welcome back, please join us and enjoy the creations we made for you! NEW FAVORITE!!!

Absolute gem of a restaurant. Killer food, kind owners, and a great ambiance. My partner and I stopped here during a road trip just hoping for a convenient dinner but it was so good we ended up driving back from three rivers the next day to come back. Couldn’t recommend this place more.
