⚜The City of Modesto once more put together an Awesome 4th of July Parade here at 1010 10th Street in Modesto.

Dance Competitions, Singing, nice music al around, delicious food, Jumpers for Kids, new businesses getting started got the chance to join in this year, very Friendly and Amicable Environment.

The City of Modesto here really knows how to bring not only people, and neighborhoods, together but the Whole City. We could have had some of the bigger businesses that are in town to contribute towards making the Fourth of July for everyone here in Modesto even bigger. There is always next year.

why is there water smell like it's got chlorine in it. and like sometimes not fill out the glass when I'm trying to a glass it's like almost like an illusion that is not there.

My one star is for the fact we have to pay more than $20 for water. It’s WATER! They offer an ‘Affidavit for Indigence’ which requires a doctors note stating that if you water/sewer/garbage services are shut off, it can post a health and safety threat to someone in the house … WHAT?! It’s WATER! We’re mammals! Imagine no running water, no way to flush toilets or get rid of garbage. That’s 3rd world country status and they DIE because of it. INSANE! What I will say is that their staff is very sweet! Keep in mind— they can only help if your water is STILL ON! Once off, nobody can help you. Not the charity programs either. I’ve had Christine working with me and I’ve broken down in tears multiple times because of her kindness and understanding. I was diagnosed with stage 3 heart failure at 33 years old. I haven’t been able to work. It’s been a real nightmare. Dealing with MID is awful. They’re the most heartless people but at least City of Modesto utilities is kind! I spoke to another lady who was also truly amazing and bent over backwards for me. I’d so love to win the lotto and give both of those ladies a huge check. I hope they realize how much their kindness and their help means to me. Based on their professionalism and kindness I’d give 6 stars if I could

It's frustrating that as a sub metered customer you cannot get assistance with your utilities in the city of Modesto. I have a disconnect notice even though I am not delinquent with my payment. I contacted the water utility department for assistance and received an instant response saying sorry we can't help you with that. So I am to keep paying the account holder who is not paying the bill with the money received for it?

I’ve attempted 5 different times via phone to get customer service to set up service at a home I purchased. 3 calls placed me on hold for over 18 minutes and I had to disconnect. The other 2, I was disconnected.

They need a better phone system and a way to establish service for homeowners who do not work in the area and can’t make it to the office during their 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Mon thru Fri business hours. Not everyone can show up in person, with ID to set up account! And why on Earth would someone call fraudulently to set up and pay for water for someone else?

I have been battling with the water company for many years and I think they target people with low income and make it difficult to get their water turned back on once it's shut off for non payment. In my case because of all the reconnect disconnect fees thrown on my bill each month because of my inability to make two sometime three payments to them in one month, it has been difficult catching up with no job. One month I had over $400 dollars added to my bill for these fees and extra charges and it has been a struggle for over a year and a half to make two payment of $150. Equaling $300 a month.

I don't see my situation getting any better any time soon. Good luck to you.

I paid to reconnect my service today before 3pm. The lady assured me that my water would be running today for sure and it’s 8pm and I have NO WATER!! I have a 5 day old baby here and it’s a Friday! Now I cannot bathe her or clean her bottles!!! What did I pay reconnection fees for if they aren’t going to connect my service!!! So not cool!!

They didn’t let me know that my automatic payments were not going through so I had to pay over$1000.00dollars in one payment. I called the office and they told me that they messed up when they reset their system

Super frustrating to call and transfer service in between tenants for my rental.
Wait times are ridiculous. Not sure these reviews are helping because I see them as far back as 4 years from today saying the same thing. Way to go COM!! 👎🏻

My bill has tripled 3 x in the last 3 month's every month. I took out the back yard and my front yard doesnt have sprinklers. Something is up. If u have the same issue please let me in know

Call center is a joke! I’ve been trying to call to pay my bill and when I enter my account number—it doesn’t work!!! So I wait to be transferred to a rep and then they disconnect my call!!! Paying my bill is always a dang hassle and then it gets shut off due to none payment!!! So now I’m without running water- AGAIN!!!!!!

Be prepared to waste your day here. Slower than the DMV.

For anyone who doesn't know: if you move, your service does not transfer with you. They will make you pay a $200 deposit at the new address. 🤬😡

They take an hour to help one customer they don’t care about customers.
