Great food, everything was so delicious 😋 We ordered Tostones Montaditos de Pollo appetizer and Pollo al Horno as our main dish. The appetizer was fantastic and plated beautifully. The Pollo al Horno was suggested by our server as you can see from the menu it's their signature dish and it was very good. I would like to go back but it would be hard to order anyting else although I'm sure all their dishes are delicious.

Been wanting some Mofongo, ordered ours with shrimp "prawns" and pork belly (Chicharrón’s to me). it came in a nice sofrito sauce. Loved it all, hit all the notes I was looking for. Their fried plantains are light and crisp, perfect. Their Pique de pina is a great flavor enhancer. Awesome staff. ❤🙌🏼🙏🏻 Great experience. Get the coconut flan! 💥❤🔥

Delicious food here, don't miss if you love plantains. This is our favorite restaurant to visit when we're in the area. Nearly everything on the menu is gluten free (although they don't guarantee no cross- contamination).

I have never eaten this type of food before. It was delicious. It seems a little on the pricey side but I'm sure that the ingredients are expensive. I'm still not used to being told how much that I should leave for a tip.

Always have loved this place. The food is great and very well priced. Parking is a breeze and very cheap. I always get the stuffed plantain dish and the bacon wrapped plantains — so good. The pique is addicting and they sell it as well.

Stop here on your way to the coastline- you won’t be disappointed. They also have pasteles on Sunday only.

Well, I would share pictures of the food, but it was so good I ate it too fast. Lol. Brought my mother who's visiting from Puerto Rico. The food and service were wonderful as always. This place has never disappointed me. We drove 2.5 hours just to eat here today ;). And I don't regret it.

It's part of my culture and having this authentic experience reminds me of my home ❤. Really thankful that there is a good Puerto Rican atmosphere near where I live that will make you come again and taste something delicious with a good quality. Bring your friends and they will thank you for this opportunity at El Coqui 🇵🇷!!!

Absolutely love this restaurant, one of our top 5 favorites. They are great with my food allergies as well as I cannot have gluten or soy. We've never had any issues eating or drinking here. Love this location for a date, solo lunch, business lunch, or a ladies night. Highly recommend!

Very cool little restaurant that we went to on a recommendation for the chicken ... and I'm passing the recommendation to you. Also, the dessert empanada with queso and guava was excellent. Well worth braving the dinner time traffic.

Amazing food. It's no wonder they win awards every year. Restaurant is close to my heart as this was the first restaurant my wife to be brought me to when I first moved to Sonoma County. Pollo all Horno is delicious, my go to dish every time.

Great choices. I had the chicken thighs with rice, beans, plantains and fresh veggies on the side. Incredible amount of food. Coconut flan for dessert and a doggie bag .

I've been wanting to come eat here with my girlfriend Nancy for about 5 years. We finally made it and it's just as I remember it. The food here is so, so, so good. If you're in the area, don't miss it. I highly suggest the Chuleta's plate or the Pollo El Horno.

I had the Chuleta's and I was having a very difficult time in not devouring everything on my plate and saving some for my lunch today. But I managed and I now get to relish again in the fabulous food from Elcoqui.

My first time here visiting with my friend. This was one of her sons favorite spots to eat. It did not disappointment.

Dining area was clean and we were seated promptly. The staff was very helpful and kind.

We ordered bacon wrapped sweet plantains and two chicken dishes: pollo Al horno & chicharrón de pollo. AMAZING!! served with Spanish rice, red beans and sweet plantains. Seasoned so perfectly wouldn’t change anything about it.

I will definitely visit again and try something else. But you can’t go wrong with this place!!!

Drove up from SF bc my Puerto Rican friend said this is the best PR food, even compared to what's in SF.

Bacon wrapped plantains were on point (hard to go wrong with fried, salty, and sweet)!

The Mofongo was DELICIOUS, so full of flavor. I really enjoyed tasting the bits of crispy garlic.

And the vegetarian canoa with half and half (red and black) beans and yellow rice was really good. Not as heavy as I thought it would be. The avocado "salad" accompaniment was meh (one small slice of avocado with red onions and mealy tomatoes), but the rest of the plate was good!

Absolutely delicious and fresh food along with really great service. I ordered the Canoa Vegetariana and it was full of flavors, you get the sweet plaintain and the melted cheese with the beans and it’s actually a tasty combination. The avocado salad adds a nice touch as well. The Pique de Pina adds more flavor to your dish, don’t forget to add it! The rice was perfect and flavorful as well.Ordered a pitcher of sangria and it was just the right amount of sweetness. If I am ever in Santa Rosa again, I will make sure to stop by this place!

Found this place to take my fiance to enjoy a Valentine's dinner of his culture, since I don't cook Puerto Rican food. It was worth the hour and a half drive! Food was authentically prepared. Took our taste buds back to family cooking and reminded us of places we have eaten at in Puerto Rico. Very well priced. Adding to the island vibe that's on point, with decor and music. Don't forget to have a sangria. Wepa!

Food is tasty. We got it to go. We could have Door Dash it. So that's cool. We have came a few times. And we have tried different options. From the sandwiches, to other dishes.

We were recommended this place by locals and we were blown away. The red sangria here is perfect, I was worried about it being too sweet but it was a perfect amount of sweet and tart. The pineapple sangria was a bit sweeter, so we didn't get a pitcher of it. Definitely order appetizer called "Tostones Montiditos de Pollo" it was amazing, the caramel unions, avacado and the chicken go so well together. For main course we got signature dish of Pollo Al Horno was a perfect portion and everything worked really well together, especially their signature sauce "Pique de Pina" that just gave it that extra kick of flavor that brought it over the top. The vibe here is super nice and the staff is extra helpful and friendly.
