Oakdale Dog Park

A great dog park. No bathrooms but handicapped accessable water fountain for you and your dogs. There is a small dog side and a large dog side, no signs saying which side is for small or large dogs but it's obvious when you get there. It's busy in the morning and evenings. If you go after 10am there won't be very many dogs and you may even have the park to yourself. Nice clean, well maintained dog park and everyone picks up after their dogs.

Green grass even in summer. Water fountain for dogs, hose to spay off the dog, tables and chairs. It's at the start of some pretty trails. Both paved and dirt are available.

My little dog loved it but he has passed now. My only complaint is people who open both gates at the same time. A lady at Modesto Dog park did this once and my dog got out. It scared me to death. Luckily I got him back. One time here, a man who comes every day on a scooter opened both gates to get out. Luckily I was able to scoop my dog up. Had he told me ahead of time I would have been happy to retrieve my dog so he could leave comfortably. I told a lady the next time who knows him. She was shocked and said "He knows better."

The purpose of the double gated entry is to always have one gate closed at all times so dogs don't escape. Common sense.

Otherwise, wonderful dog park. Best in the area, in my opinion.

Nice clean park with grass on both the small dog and big dog sides. Friendly dogs and friendly people who are aware of how to maintain a safe environment for all.

Two large gated areas for pups to play. Potty bags are available and they also have drinking fountains for them too. First time here and she loved it!

We love this park! The grass is beautiful for the most part, this is not due to park management it is due to lazy disrespectful dog parents. 🤨
Just know those of us that do respect and appreciate this park do what we can to try and pick up the extra piles, for gosh sakes plenty of bags are provided and clean trash cans daily.

Very nice dog park. Clean and well maintained.

Nice grassy play area with a few benches. Relatively new so no full grown trees yet, something to keep in mind for dogs prone to heat issues. Water fountain available for dogs. Small dog side available so the little guys can play safely. The other dogs and owners are super friendly and polite, a great place to introduce an anxious pup like mine to the idea of playing with other dogs without overwhelming too much. No public restrooms so just plan ahead, especially with kids in tow. The dogs were all friendly with kids each time I have gone; if you have smaller kiddos just keep them close so they don't get knocked over by dogs having fun. 😅

Nice park my older brother takes my mom out to that park for a walk cause of her illness to make her feel better.
She likes that environment with the nice grass and trees and other dog owners she likes to watch.

It is a very nice dog park that has two parks, one for small dogs and one for large dogs. It is also very clean and well maintained. Nice people, great dogs for my babies to play with.

Beautiful grass and well maintained. The people who go there are pleasant and friendly and the sit is in a great spot. Benches are available and there is two separate pins in case your dog happens to not get along with another so you can separate them.

Park is perfect, shaded, grass, water, people keep it clean. Some jerks and snobs mire the enjoyment on occasion. Big and small dogs separated also with separate entrances. Four ft. fencing so if you have a jumper.... Every dog deserves to go there at least once!!

Clean, well-kept, nice grass, pet and human friendly, with a long path to go for a casual walk with you and your dog be careful of the past it has rabbits and cats on it!!! In my opinion it's the best place we have in Stanislaus County that we can take our dogs too

We love taking our pup to the Oakdale dog park. Gives him a lot of space to run around and socialize with the other doggos. The Grass is always Green and the park stays pretty clean. Our kids end up running around just as much as the dog does. It's worth the drive from Modesto because they take such good care of the park. Makes us want to move closer.

There's always a lot of space for the dogs to run around. My dog always has a good time and we haven't really encountered unfriendly dogs or people. They have water fountains that the dogs can drink from as well as people. It's mainly just grass not a bunch of trees.

This is a good dog park, but be aware that it is not uncommon for people to bring small children and let them run around freely in the park. This can overly excite some dogs. That is why the park rules say children under 12 are not allowed inside the dog park area. Unfortunately, the rule is often ignored at this park.
