DoubleTree by Hilton Modesto

Sitting in the heart of downtown Modesto, the hotel has an open feel. The service was precise. The restaurant inside is called Maxi's, and it has amazing food that rivals the surrounding places to eat. The room was spacious and well maintained throughout our stay. We had a great time walking around as there was a lot nearby. The prices were reasonable and even better considering the location. Definitely recommend for visiting family or friends.

Trish at the bar is the absolute best! Ron's pretty freaking cool too, but Brenda knows the train ain't something to mess with!

My only complaint is that the HHonors member credit I get for being a diamond member doesn't fully cover the cost of breakfast(which used to be included with my stay)

I'm giving this hotel 5 stars for one reason and one reason only and that's because of the guest service agent *Paul Ram. I stayed at this location 12/18/23 -12/21/23 on the 11th floor which is fully renovated with nice, spacious rooms. The issue was the heater didn't work properly and when I called downstairs multiple times (prior to talking to Paul) I was told someone would come up and check it out. Sadly no one ever came. I made a total of 4 phone calls and spoke to several different people, on the 4th call Paul assisted me. Paul Ram went above and beyond to assist me and resolved the issue by making sure I had extra blankets and more. (A part needed to be ordered for the heating system, which wasn't the problem, it was the fact that the staff kept saying someone is coming up so I stayed in my room anticipating their arrival) Nevertheless, thank you VERY MUCH PAUL RAM!!! I appreciate you for making things right and I certainly appreciate all your help! You are indeed an amazing person ❤

Left my headphones on table in the restaurant/bar. Ron (bartender) found them, tracked me down and brought them to my room! Amazing service and honesty. I didn't even realize I lost them. Great hotel! Thank you Ron!

I had the biggest and the best wedding anyone could have had in this hotel with 300 guests for dinner with two singers live bands ! Everything was great !!: 😸:!!!)

If they ever see this note I'm not sure!!! My dream was to make our one and only good young son of ours and my husband's family proud of me so here is the good news but !?!::??! It's a good accomplishment for me but usually take notes for myself after er our divorce in 2011 I don't have anyone to hear my plus moments or achievements !!! Anyway
Within the last 8 months they put me out of apartment : I was able to officially claim the ownership of all the castles around the world ! Based on judge Mathis 's videos from 2021 !!! Besides so many other winnings but anyway !!! I don't have anybody or anyone to share this with so thank!!!

The parking lot elevator was too dirty and wet inside it needed some Damn cleaning. Once a day come on, you could do better if you expect your customers to use it.

This is a great location and I would highly recommend it if you’re ever traveling through or needing to stay in Modesto, California. The rooms were very clean and nice and well appointed/updated. The bar area always had some activity and nice sports TV channel playing. The Buffay breakfast was delicious. I really like how they prepared their eggs and they have a good selection a variety of food. I valet parked, which cost me five dollars more but I never had to wait for the valet and the car was parked in a covered garage.

I'm writing this review because of Ron's awesome service. Ron is a waiter in the hotel's restaurant/bar, and he's one of the nicest people I've ever met. I was staying at the hotel with a family member who was recently injured and is having difficulty getting around, and who also has many dietary restrictions. We ate at the hotel restaurant several times on our trip, and Ron went out of his way every time to ensure that she was comfortable and got something that she was able to eat. Thank you, Ron, for making our stay great!

I stayed there for New Year's Eve!! Liked the Hotel a lot. Very comfortable beds.

Clean rooms, spacious. Front desk customer service awesome.

The staff was wonderful, especially Arnie, who went out of his way to help me. The ladies at the Cafe were super. I did not get their names. One had lots of gorgeous black hair and the other had pretty blondish hair. They worked so hard. The lobby was full of conventioneers who were a bit noisy and the ladies kept everything going smoothly. Jazzilyn checked me out, answered all my questions, and did her job well. The location was perfect! Very walkable with lots of eateries close by. Close to the Gallo Center.

Stayed just one night for a friends birthday. This hotel is a monstrous beacon in the Modesto skyline. You can find it from wherever you are in the blaring downtown heat.

There are 15 minute check in spots in front. We left our bags at 11am since we were too early for the room which could be ready at 1:30pm. The desk person gave us tickets to retrieve our bags later.

The air conditioning is strong which is a relief on a 110 degree day in the Central Valley.

All the workers were friendly who we encountered. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We were on the 8th floor and my one complaint would be that it was very inconvenient to have to tap your room key every time you use the elevator.

The pool is cold on the 2nd floor near the gym. You have to tap your key on the right wall to open the door, which is not obvious at all.

The bar is very brightly lit. I was able to get hot decaf tea at night here. We had a group of 10 and we were able to put chairs in a circle to hang out.

Self parking is across the street and we got validated at the hotel for a reduced rate, but when trying to pay to get out, our parking ticket did not work. Upon pressing the assistance button, they opened the gate without pay required.

Convenient hotel to walk around downtown Modesto. You also get a signature double tree chocolate chip cookie 🍪 at check in which used to be in baskets when we were at double trees as a kids.

Awesome accommodation. Freindly and nice lobby personnel. Clean and comfortable rooms. Convenient, delicious and affordable Max's buffet dinner @ the hotel. Warm and delicious 😋cookies 🍪🍪🍪.

The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make sure our stay was the best. The shower head leaked onto my toiletries bag, but when I notified the front desk, they were eager to get it fixed. We only stayed one night so we didn't use the shower again. The breakfast buffet in the restaurant downstairs was phenomenal and well worth the price. The only draw back was being near the train station and the trains honking as they pulled it. It woke me up a few times, but it stopped before midnight.

Absolutely fantastic. I had the executive room. Setting up a membership was a breeze. Definitely will go again and would highly recommend if you like a view, food, events or relaxation away from it all.

Big shout out to Ron in the restaurant and bar. He went above and beyond to make us feel at home, and gave great service. He is a gem!

Nice hotel. They are under construction but are doing a great job regardless. My only complaint is that my room had a loud mechanical noise all night. Made it difficult to sleep.

Well maintained property. We attended a large wedding, and it was a beautiful ceremony, supported by a hard-working hotel staff. We stayed three days. Our room was clean as well as the facility. Friends used the pool and work out room with no complaints. The bar served food from snacks to meals. Very polite and receptive staff. Valet & self-serve parking available. Masks are optional.
