Javi's Mexican Restaurant Modesto, CA

Excellent customer service! All the staff are friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is great, spacious with lots of seating and a homey feel. Mario went above and beyond, checking in often and provided the best experience I've had at a restaurant in a long time. The Pollo en creama is a must! Absolutely delicious as is the guacamole dip and the fried ice cream. The food is tasty, fresh, and good portions. Decent prices for quality. Overall, I am extremely happy! I would highly recommend this location and will be back!

Javi's has the best food, I love their Shredded Chicken Tacos!

I was visiting with a couple other ladies. Our food was good and came out nice and hot and was very delicious. Two of us were gluten free and then offer corn or flour chips and tortillas which made a great difference for us. The waitress kept checking on us and did good with that. One of us ordered a virgin drink due to being pregnant and one had a regular drink. I really don’t like the fact that the virgin drink was $5 more than the regular mixed drink. Other than that, everything was good.

I must say that this restaurant is very beautiful with the vibe of the Mexican culture traditions. Very genuine. Staff is very friendly. I recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Mexican culture dishes.

Food was very tasty I especially thought the chicken and shrimp were good. The chorizo was not as good as I've tasted elsewhere. And the steak was cut to thin into strips like beacon. -1 star

It was my first time coming here and I ordered the Tampiquena (No. 34). It was a big portion and tasted good. I also got some shredded beef tacos and they were good too.

This is the first time I have ever been to this restaurant since I've lived in Modesto for over 20 years and to my regret I should have came to this restaurant far sooner because the food here is absolutely delicious... chicken burrito I had was succulent and had a variety of tastes plus the chicken was not dry but moist no. I don't know what they're doing here at this restaurant but it is absolutely five star... I highly require and recommend anyone to come and eat and dine at this restaurant in Modesto California... Good spot. Beer is cold, food is hot. Free bean dip and salsa, when I sat at the bar. Tip the bartender and waitress well and they will remember u when u return. I go there every time I get my tires worked on at America Tire on Standiford.

We got to sit outside and dine on superb food, but honestly, our waiter Ethan M. made the whole experience totally worth coming. He kept our glasses full, the chips and condiments to start with coming, then the food immediately after. Totally wonderful food and big portions - worth what we paid. Will definitely come again! Beautiful aquarium, discounted specials for lunch. Food ordered was delicious and our waitress was very accommodating. Hot spot in Modesto.

We discovered Javi’s in Oakdale when we were coming home from Angels Camp. It was fabulous! We live in Manteca and went to Javi’s in Modesto. The restaurant is immaculate, the staff is incredible and the food is the best Mexican food I’ve ever had! I grew up in the Bay Area and was disappointed when we moved to Manteca at the lack of good Mexican food. Tonight I had the scallops in creama and the layers and depth of flavor were so delicious. It is well worth the drive and I recommend Javi’s highly. Just hope they will consider opening a restaurant in Manteca. I think it would be a huge hit!

My wife and I had great service from Yesenia. I ordered the Burrito Supreme with no green sauce and a 32 0z margarita. My wife had a sope. We love coming here!

I ordered iced tea but it tasted funny like not filtered water? But food was great

We had a wonderful time and the ridiculous banter between my husband and Josh made our experience even that much more delightful.
The food was great, the rice and beans and homestyle taco tasted like my mother-in-law was in the kitchen and she's a wonderful cook. My husband fell in love with that chile relleno and can't wait to come back for more.
Make sure to ask Josh for a cup of their vintage tank water, and tell him, Eddie said "it was refreshing."

Moved from bay area a year ago and very happy to find this gem in modesto. My go to for great Mexican food with great service never disappointed. Big thank you to Dora and Yaya helping me to explore the menu!! Soooo good!!!!

My first-time experience was very wonderful. I love trying the Javier special for the 1st time. Having a trio of meats is always a delight. Dora, a very wonderful young woman, had very courteous professional customer service, & will definitely be coming back.
