Carrillo's Mexican Deli

I've been coming here for 20 years and I think this is the best location out of all 3. Everything here is great, my favorite is the Surf n Turf Burrito with Carne Asada & Shrimp, and the wet Burrito. The Chicken tacos are really good too and huge. The owner Steve is the best as well as his son and everyone else that works there, everyone is always friendly the service is fast and the restaurant is always spotless clean. I hope this place never closes I'll be going here for another 20 years..

Great place to eat. My co workers eat ate their for lunch and everyone was satisfied. I'm from East Los Angeles and finding a good Mexican food restaurant is hard in this part of town. But when we found this place it taste like my grandmothers cooking. One the be sure to order a glass of milk if you request the Habanero hot sauce. Everyone starting sweating after we tried that. 🔥

I go to Carrillos every Saturday and order takeout. This place makes the Best burritos in Simi Valley. Ingredients are always fresh and the quality of their meats are unmatched. You can actually taste the quality in each bite. Their counter service is always extremely polite and the wait time is always short. If you like burritos I suggest the Chicken Burrito Supreme.

This is the best place in Simi valley for a California burrito, hands down. The service is always excellent, and you can tell that the family that runs this place really cares. They offer catering as well with fair prices. My only gripe is that sometimes they're ours seem a bit off, would hope that they fix that on their website or on the Google page. Love this place!

I have always ordered from here on GrubHub and loved it. I finally got to go in and order (03August2023) and interact with the actual business and I was not disappointed. I ordered breakfast for my family of 7 and the timing, ordering and service was by far amazing. I was not disappointed. And of course the food followed being delicious and portion size was way more than I could eat. They were friendly and inviting. As I left they made sure I had everything and was good to go. I don't know what they do to their flour tortillas but it is magical. They are soft I could use them for my bedding, if I wouldn't eat them all on the first night.

Update: still haven't found a better burrito, and believe me, I've been searching. Also what is going on with the flan. It's too good.

Cannot comment on the atmosphere as we always do take out. We get the burritos nearly weekly and they are large and packed heartily. Very tasty. Always consistently and perfectly done with quality ingredients. Everything is homemade by them—tortillas, salsas, chips, beans, banuelos, rice, tamales. The burritos are served with a small side of chips if you ask and their salsas. We order through the Clover app where the 10th burrito is free. Family owned and operated. They’re so kind. A true community business.

Carrillo's has been one of my favorite restaurants for as long as I can remember. Whether it's a weekend bowl of menudo, a breakfast burrito, tacos, hand-made tortillas, or any of your other Mexican favorites, the food is always delicious. The folks who work there are always welcoming and courteous. It's a great spot for delicious food at a good price.

To my surprise, after looking at the receipt, I found that my favorite Mexican restaurant has greatly increased its prices. For rice, 2 tamales, steak quesidilla, and an order of beef taquitos, the total was $50. Ouch.

Great Taco's and new a really great staff to help with all my questions that I had. I had ordered the Taco's expecting them to be small. Oh boy was a wrong they were huge and a definite fill up Im very happy I came here for lunch. Parking was easy and lots of room for my 26 foot u-haul in the back. Good job guys and your doing great. Keep it up 👍

The food taste fresh like home made. My girls loved the food. Mind you my eldest girl does not like Mexican food but she loved the taquitos she order and she also had some of my pozole and love it. They also said that the orchata was the best they had so far. The tamales were delicious. Overall everything was great. Definitely will be going back.

Friendly place. Great food! Try the Machaca, it's the best in town. Huge burritos, excellent homemade salsa. Order your holiday tamales long in advance! They are incredible and they must have to make thousands of them!

One of my favorite local spots! Fast service, great prices, awesome service, and amazing food! I get the sombrero burrito, the half and half red and green sauces and meats never fails to disappoint. Guy Fieri should come here!

We were visiting The area and decided to drive around until we found some food. Thank goodness we found this spot and decided to give it a try! The food is so delicious and the best Mexican food we have had in a long time. The service was great when we were there and the lady at the register was very very friendly. I highly reccomendthis for breakfast lunch and dinner!! We are coming here tomorrow AM for a breakfast burrito! Too bad we don't live here because we would come all the time.

Updated interior make this now not only one of my favorite take out places! Lovely owners and even more excellent food! Crispy tacos, fresh churros, chicharrons, and tamales. One of the best in Simi!

I come here every weekend for the big breakfast burritos. The freshly made tortillas are SO GOOD. My go-to is the burrito with eggs, bacon, and potatoes (omitting the rice and beans). The protein and carbs aren't "heavy" and it fuels my morning weight lifting. Everyone who works there is very nice also.

I'm in town for work this week and asked local coworkers & Simi Valley residents for chorizo breakfast burrito recommendations. The first 5 were for Carrillo's and I'm stuffed after barely finishing the first half. Looking forward to another visit on my next trip out.

Simply the best authentic Mexican Food in Simi Valley. If you really want to eat Mexican food, this is the place to go. Reasonable prices and an excellent variety of real traditional Mexican dishes. A must in Simi. Eat in or take out.
