We are the family of Jordan Herr, a combat veteran who was laid to rest in the veterans' section of Lakewood Cemetery. We want to share our experience with the cemetery and the staff and express our gratitude and appreciation for their service.

Lakewood Memorial Park is a beautiful and peaceful cemetery , where we honor the memory of our beloved son and hero. His military marker has the words, "Step softly a dream lies here." We are comforted by the fact that the cemetery is endowment care, which means that the grounds will be maintained in perpetuity. We are proud that he is among the other veterans who served our country with valor.

The staff at Lakewood were patient, kind, and respectful to our son and our entire family. They helped us make the best decisions possible during the worst time of our lives. They showed professionalism and compassion and made the process as smooth and dignified as possible. We especially want to thank Spencer Herendeen, Eduardo Cervantes, Gloria Mason, and everyone else we met on their team.

We highly recommend Lakewood Memorial Park to anyone who is looking for a final resting place for their loved ones. We are grateful for their work and their care. They are not just staff, they are angels.

I have nothing but positive to say about our experience at Lakewood Memorial. Leo Hernandez was very sensitive and supportive when my mother passed, he made thing easy to understand and also took great care of me on purchasing a plan for my father.

This next experience was with a family friend that wanted to purchase a plan and Jose Gutierrez gave us many options for her, it was a plus that he understood and spoke Spanish so she felt safe and comfortable with purchase.

We had an amazing experience with Lakewood. The only thing where it got a little bit rocky was the finances but if you have the budget, this is an amazing place. You really do get what you pay for in the best way! Everything was beautiful. Everybody was so respectful and kind. I didn’t feel any pressure to add on anything extra that I didn’t need. Planning the funeral services for my father was amongst the most difficult experiences I have had to live through. However, the staff at Lakewood made this experience a much easier one to bear. They were caring, empathetic, and comforting during this very difficult time. They were also very experienced and knowledgeable and helped us through the process. We are extremely appreciative for all the support given to us during this difficult time. Nadya was outstanding, helping us with choosing a beautiful plot for the family, following up with the funeral home, and being 100% present during the internment of my Father. My father’s resting place is a beautiful area overlooking the lake and vineyards at Lakewood. The cool breeze, the beautiful grounds, the peace and serenity, and the great staff at Lakewood were a key deciding factor in selecting our family’s final resting place.

We held my mother's funeral at Lakewood Memorial Park. The service was excellent and the people that I worked with Nadya Horvath, Spencer Herendeen and Nathaniel, went above and beyond. I am so thankful to them for assisting me through this difficult time. The ceremony was beautiful and all the arrangements thanks to them!! The entire staff at Lakewood provided comfort and solace to my family and me!! Deacons Jim and Phil were excellent!!

The service and care provided to our family by the staff of Lakewood Funeral Home and Memorial Park was exceptional. Claire at the front desk was very kind and helpful. Spencer from the funeral home went above and beyond to make sure every detail was taken care of, even paying extra special attention to the needs of our young children. Amy from the cemetery was ever available and quick to assist us during the graveside ceremony. And the way Leonardo cared for our loved one’s urn during the committal was especially touching… he even made certain that all of the butterflies were where they needed to be. All of us were particularly moved by the special song Spencer played at the conclusion. Well done, Lakewood! That ceremony was exactly what we needed to celebrate a life so unique and we’ll be forever grateful.

They always make enough time for the things we needed from a great slide show to assisting us with music to go with our slide show . The cemetery is beautiful with the river beside it! Brian really handled everything for my mom’s burial perfectly. Very friendly and always followed up with quick responses on any questions we had.

The funeral home was very nice. We opted for the bigger chapel. We had a couple of issues come up with the funeral planner, but the manager, Spencer was very quick to reach out and take care of us to make it right. I appreciate his help to ensure high quality customer service especially during the difficult time of saying goodbye to my mom.

Overall experience at Lakewood was positive in regards to their staff and accommodations. They met all my requests and was always available if I needed them to adjust last minute things. It has been very hard to say goodbye to my mom but the staff at Lakewood made it very comforting for my family.

Lakewood Funeral Home has helped our family with services of my Father in Law, my Mom and most recently my Dad. The kindness, compassion, and attention to detail is unmatched. The presentation of both my parents was beautiful. Our Funeral director Nadia got to know me and the family as we planned both my parents services 6 years apart. We have worked with lakewood for many years. we have many family members there, with this last family member, my mother we sat down Patricia and Amy, went over everything, very came together as planned.
