Absolutely authentic delicious Mexican cuisine. Excellent salsa bar, fish/shrimp tacos, breakfast specials, large selection for small restaurant. Very clean restroom too

This place is local to Exeter. It's small but had no problem being seated. Ordered carne asada burritos 🌯. Large and filled with beans, rice, and carne asada 😋. Very delicious and looking forward to going back. I recommend it 👌.

I love this place even when the restaurant was under another owner. Food is great and amazing customer service. Fast and tasty food. You can go in and order to go or you can dine in. Also they offer delivery which is awesome. I Highly recommend this place. It's located downtown so after you walk around and see the amazing murals Exeter has than you can head to have some Mexican food. It's under new Name but amazing food.

Delicious food at a great price. We came in for an early lunch (9/27/20) and was directed to the back patio for outside dining. There was plenty of room and tables were well spaced out. Servers were very friendly, they wore masks and place was very clean.
Chips and salsa at the table right as we sat down. I chose a carne asada torta, and two tacos. My daughter ordered pasole. The owner Juan was telling me all items were available during open hours, we were there at 9am and ordered lunch, no problem. He said everything was available for take-out as well.
We'll be back for sure. Great authentic Mexican food, at a great price.

Even when I lived here, I never visited it. Went to grab abbot with a friend and ordered a Mexican classic, menudo. I expected something bland and for whites people no offense. It tasted even better than my own mothers. Shhh... don't tell her that. Will definitely be back again.

El Nuevo recently went through an ownership change, and you can see it in the cleaner decor, self-serve salsa station, and wait staff. The menudo is still the best in the valley, and the rest of the menu and experience has seen a marked improvement. My family - immediate and extended - visit frequently, and recommend it as the best place in Exeter for authentic Mexican food.
